Chapter 174: Chapter 174 Sandra and Billi
As they walked through the market, Damon’s keen eyes finally spotted a stall that seemed to have what he was looking for.
He approached the merchant, a tall, broad-shouldered man with a welcoming smile.
"Do you have any fabrics from the Spiral Woon Beast tribe?" Damon asked, his tone serious.
The merchant nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I do. Right here," he said, pulling out several bolts of fabric. The materials shimmered in the light, their smooth texture evident even from a distance.
Damon examined the fabric closely, feeling its texture between his fingers. "This is perfect," he muttered, more to himself than to anyone else. He selected a few bolts of the fabric and turned to Kyra. "These will make excellent clothes for you."
"You’re good at that. You’re going to make the perfect dress," Kyra said, remembering how many pretty dresses Damon had made.
Damon turned to the merchant. "How much for this fabric?"
"120 coins." the merchant replied, his smile widening.
Kyra’s eyes widened too. That was a lot of money! But Damon didn’t even hesitate. He took out a pouch and began counting the coins.
The merchant’s smile grew even bigger as he accepted the payment. "Thank you. You won’t regret it. This fabric is the finest you’ll find."
Suddenly, they heard a commotion and shouts echoing through the market.
"The most beautiful female, Sandra, is here!"
"And the second most beautiful female, Billi, is here too!"
Kyra turned to see the crowd parting, making way for two females walking together, their waists swaying seductively with each step.
Damon’s expression hardened as he saw them approaching. He took a step closer to Kyra, his protective instincts kicking in. "Let’s keep moving, little thing," he said, his voice low. "We’ve seen enough for today."
Kyra turned to see where the commotion was coming from. The crowd was parting to make way for two females walking together, their hips swaying gracefully as they approached.
"Long time no see, Damoooon!" Sandra called out loudly when she saw Damon, rushing toward him with her males trailing closely behind.
On the other hand, Billi approached more slowly, with black hair, Black eyes, and average facial features.
She looked at Kyra, whose hair almost completely covered her face. Billi could only catch a glimpse of Kyra’s fair and smooth forehead and a hint of her nose.
"Long time no see, Damon," Sandra said as she reached them.
"Hello, Bandra," Damon replied sharply, his tone reserved. "It has been a while."
Sandra’s eyes flared with anger upon hearing him, and Kyra had to bite her lip to suppress a laugh.
"Oh, Damon, you forgot my name is Sandra!!!" she exclaimed. Then, her gaze flickered toward Kyra. "And who might this be?" she asked, her eyes assessing Kyra from head to toe.
Billi also approached them, her curiosity evident as she glanced at Kyra.
Damon retorted, "I don’t think it’s worth introducing my female to trash like you." Sandra looked shocked as a crowd began to gather around them.
"Are you crazy, Damon? She used to be your fiancée. Even if she left you, you can’t be rude. Don’t forget, she’s a female."
"Yeah, and who’s the new female with you?"
"Damon, apologize to Sandra."
"Why should I apologize?" Damon raised his brows lazily, tightening his grip on Kyra’s hand. "I’m leaving," he declared, beginning to move away with Kyra in tow.
Suddenly, Sandra rushed from behind and grabbed Kyra’s sweater tightly. Kyra’s body stiffened instinctively, and without thinking, she reacted, causing Sandra to stumble and fall to the ground.
Suddenly as Kyra shifted slightly, a gentle breeze lifted her hair, revealing her face to the gathering crowd.
Some people who hadn’t noticed her before were taken aback by her beauty, their eyes widening in amazement.
Billi, who had been smirking at Sandra’s foolishness, was stunned as she looked at Kyra’s face.
Sandra’s males quickly helped her up, while Sandra herself glared at Kyra with jealousy. "Where did this ugly female come from, looking so disgusting?" she spat angrily. "I don’t know why your standards are so low, Damon," Sandra said, her words laced with venom, causing the others to regard her with disbelief.
Damon clenched his jaw, about to retaliate, but Kyra cut in before he could speak.
"Excuse me," Kyra’s eyes blazed with anger. "I haven’t said anything to you or done anything to deserve your words. Before you judge me, take a good look at yourself in the mirror." she shot back, her tone firm and direct.
Damon stepped forward, his voice calm but firm. "Bandra, that’s enough. Kyra has done nothing to provoke you," he said, his gaze sharp.
Sandra’s lips tightened into a thin line, her eyes narrowing at Damon. "But Damon, look at her! She’s nothing compared to me," she retorted, her tone defensive.
"Fucking stop, Bandra. I don’t think you’re even good enough to wash her feet," Damon’s voice was cold and authoritative, cutting through the tension in the room. "And before I expose some of your deeds to everyone here, disappear from our sight."
Hearing Damon’s threat, Sandra’s eyes flashed with fear. She glanced at her males, who nodded in silent agreement and swiftly escorted her out. Before leaving, Sandra shot Kyra a venomous glare, her eyes narrowed in resentment.
Billi observed the exchange between Damon and Sandra before walking away with her males.
The tension in the crowd began to dissipate as people gradually dispersed, leaving Damon and Kyra alone in the aftermath of the confrontation.
"So... Sandra used to be your fiancée?" Kyra asked, her eyes fixed elsewhere, avoiding his gaze.
Damon raised an eyebrow as he gently guided her closer. "I don’t like her," he admitted frankly, his tone calm. "So there’s no need to be jealous, little thing," he reassured her, noticing her avoidance.
"Who said I’m jealous?" Kyra retorted, shaking her head vigorously. "I’m not, don’t misunderstand me." she insisted, her voice tinged with a hint of defensiveness.
"I see," Damon responded with a smirk, his hand brushing against hers.
Kyra glanced at him and bit her lip nervously.
