Chapter 206: Chapter 206 Who is his uncle?

After eating the meal provided by the healer for everyone.

Kyra felt noticeably better, the porridge Damon had prepared was soothing, and she could feel her body’s recovery process accelerating.

Kyra approached the healer after dinner, her expression serious. "Thank you for the meal. It really helped us," she said sincerely, taking a seat beside him.

The healer nodded, his expression neutral but kind. "You’re welcome, Kyra. I’m glad you’re feeling better. Is there anything else you need?"

"Yes, actually," Kyra began, her voice hesitant. "I need to ask you about Meeko’s father. Do you remember seeing any eagles around? Meeko’s father might be one."

The healer frowned in thought. "I can’t say I’ve seen any eagles recently. I’ve been busy with other matters, so it’s possible I missed something."

Kyra sighed, disappointment evident in her voice. "I understand. I just thought there might be a chance you had seen something."

The healer placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I’ll keep an eye out. If I hear anything, I’ll let you know."

After talking with the healer, she stood up and walked towards the stairs. Kyra felt a sharp pain in her wounds and winced, unable to hide her discomfort.

"I told you not to try and walk, Rainbow. It might trigger your wounds," Vinecnt said, his voice a mix of concern and frustration as he lifted her in his arms. She couldn’t help but feel a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment at being carried.

They had already eaten dinner downstairs with some of the other beastmen, who couldn’t help but stare at them. Lucas, Damon, and Meeko had gone to wash their hands, leaving Kyra and Vinecnt to head back upstairs.

Once they reached room, Vinecnt gently set her down on the bed, making sure she was comfortable.

Kyra sighed, feeling a mix of relief and exhaustion. "Thank you, Vince. I know this hasn’t been easy on any of us."

Vinecnt shook his head, his expression softening. "Your well-being is what matters. We’ll figure out everything else."

A few moments later, Lucas, Damon, and Meeko entered the room. Meeko ran to Kyra, climbing onto the bed and snuggling against her. "Are you feeling better now?" he asked, his big eyes filled with concern.

Kyra smiled, stroking Meeko’s hair. "Yes, much better. Thank you for worrying about me."

Seeing everyone gathered, Damon took the opportunity to speak up. "The healer needs to treat more patients, and Kyra needs a quiet environment without being stared at everywhere she goes. It’s better if we all shift to my house," Damon said seriously, masking the happiness he felt inside.

Lucas raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "And you’re sure that’s the best solution?"

"Absolutely," Damon replied, maintaining his calm aura. "It’s quieter there, and she’ll get the rest she needs."

Vinecnt, after a moment of hesitation, nodded. "Fine. If it’s best for Rainbow, we’ll do it."

Kyra looked around at the group, feeling a sense of relief. "Thank you, everyone. I really appreciate this."

Damon gave a small, satisfied smile. "It’s settled then. We’ll move first thing in the morning." He couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy at the thought of Kyra being in his home again, even if it was under these circumstances.

The tension between Damon and the them was palpable, but for the sake of Kyra’s recovery, they were willing to put aside their differences.

The next day, they moved into Damon’s house. Kyra immediately felt better in the familiar environment, her spirits lifting.

However, Vinecnt and Lucas’s expressions turned sour when they realized there was only one room with a bed.

"Why does your house only have one room with a bed?" Vinecnt asked, his tone edged with frustration.

"Oh, I used to live alone," Damon replied nonchalantly. "And Little thing used to sleep with me on the bed."

Lucas and Vinecnt both turned red with jealousy. "What?!" Lucas exclaimed. "She slept with you?"

Trying to defuse the situation, Kyra quickly spoke up. "Don’t worry, I have a space capsule."

Lucas and Vinecnt turned to her in shock. "He knows?" Lucas asked, incredulous.

Kyra nodded. "Yes."

Damon smirked slightly, enjoying their reactions. "I’ve known for a while. It’s no big deal."

Lucas and Vinecnt exchanged a look of disbelief, their jealousy flaring even more.

Lucas asked, "But why did you two used to sleep in the same bed?"

Damon replied calmly, "I only have one bed, and I couldn’t let a female sleep on the floor."

"You are a hard, strong dragon. You should have slept on the floor," Vinecnt gritted his teeth, his mind imagining them together.

"She’s cold. She needed a warm body to warm her bed," Damon replied, causing Vinecnt and Lucas to almost jump in outrage.

Seeing the tension rising, Kyra coughed to get their attention. "Hey, hey, Damon, don’t speak inappropriately. We only shared a bed because I had nowhere else to stay. I’m grateful to Damon for providing me with a roof over my head and clothes to wear. Without him, I would have been eaten by monsters," she said, recalling the terrifying experience of being chased by a monster on her first day in this world.

Her words made Vinecnt and Lucas pause, their anger melting into concern as they remembered how dangerous it had been for her.

Meeko grabbed Kyra’s hand and tugged gently. "Pretty sister, bend down," he asked sweetly.

Kyra bent down, and Meeko kissed her cheek. She looked at him, her eyes softening with emotion.

"Pretty sister, you’re so strong... You saved me many times that day. You’re the best! You’re as powerful as my uncle," Meeko said, his admiration shining through his words.

Kyra, Lucas, and Vincent didn’t sense anything in Meeko’s words, but Damon did. His brows furrowed.

Who is his uncle?

Kyra smiled warmly, feeling a mix of gratitude and tenderness. "Thank you, Meeko. Your words mean a lot to me," she replied, hugging him gently.

Kyra’s heart swelled with affection as she hugged Meeko. The little boy’s admiration and innocence were a soothing balm to her weary soul.
