Chapter 220: Chapter 220 Her truth

Next Day

"So Vinecnt already went to hibernation?" the healer asked as he packed some herbs. Damon was there to collect them for Kyra.

"Hmm," Damon muttered absentmindedly.

"What’s wrong with you?" the healer asked, raising his eyebrows.

Hearing him, Damon’s eyes snapped back, his expression turning sharp and cold. "Nothing," he replied as the healer handed him the packet of herbs to apply to Kyra’s wounds.

"Come on, loosen up, dragon," the healer said with a chuckle.

Damon grunted, taking the herbs and turning to leave. He wasn’t in the mood for small talk. His mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Kyra.

The healer watched him go, shaking his head. "Dragons and their moods," he muttered to himself.

Back at the house, Kyra was standing by the window in bedroom, staring out at the snow-covered landscape. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying, but she put on a normal face when Damon walked in.

"I got the herbs," Damon said, his voice softer than usual. "Let me help you with your wounds."

Kyra shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper. "I can do it myself," she said, taking the herbs from him.

Damon frowned but didn’t argue. He handed over the packet and stepped back, watching her with concern. "If you need anything, just let me know."

Lucas, who had been pacing the room, finally stopped and looked at them. "Do you need any help?" he asked.

"No, I’ve got it," Kyra replied, her voice wavering slightly. She walked to the bathroom, leaving Damon and Lucas behind.

Lucas sighed and flopped down on the bed, running a hand through his hair.

Kyra took a deep breath as she applied the herbs to her wounds, the coolness soothing her skin. She felt a pang of loneliness, missing Vincent’s presence.

She had already been separated from him for so long, and now, being separated again, she felt numb.

"What are you doing, Kyra?" Suddenly, she heard a voice and looked around, shocked.

"Hey, don’t look around. I’m in your head. I am you. You’re me," the voice continued. It sounded just like her but more charming and deeper, while her voice was usually sweet, gentle, and soft.

"You... what are you doing in my head?" Kyra asked defensively.

"Don’t worry, Kyra. I’m your beast! I wasn’t able to contact you after you shifted. It’s been a long time. I didn’t expect I’d get a human body," the voice explained in her head.

"What do you mean?" Kyra asked coldly.

The voice sighed. "I hate explaining things."

"Then tell me in short. I don’t believe you," Kyra said.

"Okay! Basically, we’re the same person. The only difference is our memories and experiences," the voice explained. "I can take over your body in extreme situations, and our eyes change to deep blue when I do."

"Sounds like a werewolf," Kyra muttered.

"Hmm, I don’t know what you’re talking about," the voice said.

"So you’re... me? But how is this possible?" Kyra asked.

"Well, actually, Frostlyn was the first beast in the Beastworld to come to life. We used to be guardian angels of the world keys, which have the power to dominate or destroy the world," the voice said, filled with heartache. "But some greedy beasts with dark magic want to dominate the world and have been trying to get the world key. Protecting it, we already lost our life once. I didn’t expect to get my body back, but also a human body. That’s strange," the charming voice continued.

"I’m actually not from this world. I’m a lab product made with Frostlyn DNA, combined with some powerful women DNA..." Kyra said, muttering. "But how is it possible to have Frostlyn in my world?"

"Hmm, that’s what I’m thinking. Tell me everything from the beginning," the voice asked. "No, no, we better merge our memories."

Talking with the voice felt calming, like the weight of the world was lifted off her shoulders. She felt light and a lot better.

"Memory merge? Will that take time? I’ve been in the bathroom for a long time," Kyra muttered.

"Yeah, sure, it will take time. But I’m finally happy getting my whole subconscious back. We need to find the rat that killed us and the one controlling the Ghost Eye organization."

"Ghost Eye organization?" Kyra’s eyes widened. She felt like every truth was beginning to reveal itself.

"Yeah, they’re the ones who killed us. They’re building a powerful spirit force with dark energy. If we don’t deal with them, our end might be near. So, you need to train."

"Training? Like fighting?" Kyra asked, frowning.

"Nope! Fighting can’t help with them. You need to learn to control our power and regain our past life’s spiritual level."

Kyra took a deep breath, trying to process everything. "Regain our past life’s spiritual level? How do I do that?"

The voice, now more deeper, responded, "It will take time and patience. We need to connect with our inner self, meditate, and practice our abilities. I will guide you through it."

Kyra felt a strange sense of comfort, as if she had a part of herself back that she didn’t even know was missing. "Alright, let’s do this. Where do we start?"

"Not now, baby Luca and My Damon are waiting for you outside, worriedly. Shoo, go to them first," the charming voice teased.

Kyra’s eyes widened. "My Damon?"

"Oh, don’t act innocent. Although I don’t know many things, I still know some. I know you have feelings for that dragon. Oh, he actually has a good figure. Can’t wait to taste him," the charming voice said quickly.

"You—you shameless!" Kyra covered her mouth, blushing furiously.

"Oh, Kyra! I’m part of you. Once our memories merge, I’ll see how your shameless self will come back. I mean, you already experienced it once when you shifted. Do you remember not feeling shy being naked in front of Lucas and Vincent?" the voice teased, laughing.

Kyra’s cheeks turned even redder as she remembered the incidents the voice was talking about. She felt a mix of embarrassment and frustration but also a strange sense of familiarity and acceptance.
