Chapter 251: Chapter 251 End the threat
"Yes, I also want to discuss that very matter," Kyra replied, meeting his gaze with calm confidence.
"What do you want to talk about, Female?" Priest Felix asked, his tone curious.
Kyra took a breath and spoke firmly. "I also want to go to Silver Peak Mountain with the warrior group." Her hands rested on her thighs, steady as she looked at them.
Priest Felix’s lips curved upward into a knowing smile, as if he’d expected this.
The healer, however, fell silent, his expression becoming serious. "It’s very dangerous there, Child," he finally said. "The climate is harsh—constant rain, storms, and rough terrain. We’ve made preparations for everyone’s safety, but people will be too busy with their own tasks. No one will be able to take care of you out there."
"I’m not going there for fun, but with a purpose," Kyra said firmly, her eyes locking onto the healer’s. "Damon told me how dangerous that place is, and I want to go because of my healing ability. I’ve learned to control it now." She smiled softly. "I believe I won’t be a burden. If any beastmen get injured, I’ll be able to help."
The healer’s eyes flickered with thought before he nodded. "If that’s the case, then I won’t stop you..."
Damon and Lucas exchanged tense glances, but before they could protest, Lucas spoke up. "I also want to go," he said, his gaze on the healer.
"Of course, you can go too," the healer said with a wave of his hand, as if it were nothing.
Before the conversation could settle, Kyra turned her attention to Priest Felix. "Priest," she began, her voice more serious. "I have something important to discuss with you."
Felix looked at her in surprise, curiosity lighting up his eyes. "Oh? What is it, Kyra?" he asked, leaning forward with interest.
Kyra didn’t hesitate, knowing she could trust both the healer and the priest. She glanced between them as she began to speak.
"It’s about the shadows... and the Evil Eye group," she started, her voice steady but tense. "Last night, a shadow attacked me. The whole room turned red and felt... off. Creepy. Luca and Damon couldn’t move—they were trapped by this dark energy. It wasn’t the first time I’ve faced something like this."
The priest’s expression darkened as she spoke. He sat quietly for a moment, then leaned forward, his tone grave. "Kyra, they’re trying to get rid of you," he said, his eyes narrowing. "But for them to not have killed you already... it suggests something else. It means they’re likely trying to take you away instead."
Felix’s brow furrowed as he began muttering under his breath, fingers twitching in a rhythmic pattern. He closed his eyes, diving deep into thought or perhaps even some form of divination.
The priest opened his eyes and met Kyra’s gaze, his expression serious, his voice filled with gravity. "I can’t give you a full answer," he admitted. "But these energies are dark spirits, twisted and not of the living. Be careful, Kyra. They know you can kill them now, and that makes you a threat. They may try to attack those closest to you, so stay vigilant."
A chill ran down Kyra’s spine as she glanced at Damon and Lucas, her mind flashing to Vincent. The thought of them being in danger made her stomach twist.
"But why do they want to take her away?" Damon asked, his voice tight with tension. His brow furrowed as he searched for answers. "What’s their motive?"
The priest sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Their exact reason is hidden from me, but dark spirits often seek power. If they can corrupt someone with your strength, Kyra, they could use that power to spread their influence... or worse, bend you to their will." His voice dropped lower, and the weight of his words hung heavy in the air. "They’re after something deeper than just destruction."
"And if we have to finish them all at once... you need to find the world key and the Floating Island, which serves as their main base," Priest Felix said, his voice almost reverberating with the weight of the words. Even as he spoke, his brows furrowed, a flicker of surprise crossing his features—he hadn’t expected to glean such clear information from the divine eyes. They had shown him more than he could have foreseen.
As a priest blessed with divine sight, Felix had always understood that his visions weren’t merely about looking into the future. His divine eyes allowed him to tune into the frequencies of time, like catching signals.
The nature of these signals depended on the situation, on the waves of energy that flowed through the world at any given moment.
Sometimes, the visions were fleeting, no more than whispers on the wind, and at other times, they hit him with such clarity it was as though the future had momentarily become the present. Today, the waves were particularly strong, carrying detailed fragments of the dark spirits.
He sat back, his eyes unfocused for a moment as he processed what he had just seen. Those waves of time—unpredictable, shifting like the currents of a river—had brought forth a revelation. The world key and Floating Island were crucial to defeating the dark spirits.
Kyra absorbed the new information with sharp focus. Her mind raced as she tried to piece it together—the world key, the Floating Island.
Lucas and Damon exchanged glances, both looking equally confused. The concept of a world key was foreign to them, something beyond their understanding. However, the idea of a Floating Island at least provided some semblance of a location, though they knew it would be a dangerous place. Even so, the path forward seemed unclear, like staring into a thick, dense fog.
But despite their uncertainty, there was a silent agreement between them. If they didn’t take action soon, Kyra’s life would remain in constant danger, and that was something neither of them could accept.
Kyra, however, felt a different fire kindling inside her. It wasn’t fear—it was anger. The idea of those dark spirits attacking the people closest to her made her blood boil. She couldn’t stand the thought of any harm coming to Lucas, Damon, or Vincent. A burning desire to destroy the evil group flared within her, fierce and consuming. She clenched her fists, her jaw tightening with determination. No matter what it took, no matter how dangerous the path, she knew she had to end this threat.
