Chapter 299: Chapter 299 Last battle

With calm confidence, she raised her hand, the crackling blue thunder from earlier surging back to life in her grasp, glowing with a vibrant intensity. "You have no idea what you’re up against," she muttered under her breath, her voice Dangerous and charming, but filled with the weight of certainty.

The monsters didn’t stand a chance.

Kyra unleashed her power, hurling the crackling energy toward the approaching monsters. The force was immense, and in an instant, the creatures fell, their bodies crumbling lifelessly to the ground.

Oceanus, ever calm and collected, glanced at the aftermath with a hint of interest. "Your mate is strong, Lucas. She’ll handle things here. We still need to destroy that tomb," he said, his voice charming. "Let’s move quickly before more of them arrive."

Lucas nodded, his heart pounding.

Simon, in the sky above, was fending off a few lingering monsters, keeping the path clear.

Without another word, Oceanus climbed onto Lucas’s back, his hand pointing toward the distant. "That way," he instructed.

Lucas shifted into his wolf form, his muscles tense with determination. He bolted forward, carrying Oceanus, the wind whipping around them as they sped through the battlefield.

Simon cleared the monsters for them, and after running for a while, Oceanus asked him to stop near a thick tree. He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again.

"Dig here," he said, and Simon and Lucas began digging with their claws.

Their claws tore through the earth, flinging dirt and stones aside until, finally, the tomb was revealed. It lay deep beneath the thick roots of the tree, ancient and ominous, as though it had been untouched for centuries.

"Stay back," Oceanus commanded, his eyes narrowing as he closed them in concentration. Lucas and Simon moved away quickly, their hearts pounding with anticipation.

Suddenly, the air grew colder. A bone-chilling wind swept through the clearing, sending shivers down their spines. The ground beneath the tomb trembled, and then, from the darkness, a large shadow began to materialize.

The figure that appeared was horrifying. A towering, bald-headed ghost with rotting, decayed skin, its flesh barely clinging to its skeletal frame. Its body seemed to flicker in and out of existence, as if it were phasing between this world and another. The smell of decay filled the air, overpowering their senses.

Oceanus stood still, unfazed, as the dark spirit hollow, dead eyes locked onto him. Its mouth opened in a grotesque sneer, revealing jagged teeth. A low, dangerous growl escaped its throat as it began to advance toward Oceanus.

Without hesitation, the ghost lunged, its claws extended and aimed at Oceanus’s throat. Oceanus dodged effortlessly, his movements smooth yet calculated. The dark spirit howled in frustration, its voice an echoing wail that seemed to shake the very ground beneath them.

"Is that all you’ve got?" Oceanus muttered, his turquoise eyes glowing faintly. The dark spirit face twisted in fury, and it lunged again, faster this time. Its rotten limbs flailed wildly, trying to swipe at Oceanus. But Oceanus was quicker, side-stepping each attack with ease.

He raised one hand, summoning a crackling invisible energy, and hurled it at the dark spirit. The energy collided with the dark spirit, causing it to let out a bloodcurdling screech. Its body flickered violently, parts of it fading into smoke, but it wasn’t gone yet.

The ghost reformed, its body now even more grotesque, its rage palpable. It raised its hands, and the air around them darkened. Shadows seemed to come alive, swirling around the ghost and creating a vortex of darkness. The shadows lashed out, aiming to engulf Oceanus.

Oceanus, however, remained calm. His webbed hands glowed with energy as he summoned a barrier, deflecting the dark spirit attack. The shadows crashed against the barrier, hissing and writhing like serpents. 𝔫𝖔𝖛𝖕𝖚𝔟.𝖈𝖔𝔪

Lucas and Simon watched in horror, unable to move. The dark spirit strength was terrifying, and it seemed almost unstoppable. But Oceanus showed no fear. He took a step forward, his right hand lazily sent wave after wave of invisible energy toward the dark spirit.

The ghost screamed in agony as each strike hit its decayed body, pieces of it dissolving into smoke. But it wasn’t giving up. It lunged one last time, its form shifting into a monstrous shadow, intent on consuming Oceanus whole.

Oceanus smirked, his voice cold. "Enough."

With a final, powerful strike, Oceanus slammed both of his hands together, sending a shockwave of energy through the air. The dark spirit let out one last, ear-piercing shriek as its body disintegrated into a black mist, vanishing completely.

The eerie silence that followed was deafening. The cold wind ceased, and the air seemed to return to normal.

Oceanus turned to Lucas and Simon, his face calm as if the battle had never happened. "The tomb is now unsealed," he said, his voice eerily nonchalant. "Let’s go we have finished ghost eye organisation."

Lucas and Simon looked at each other, nodded, and shifted into their human forms. They picked up large rocks and started smashing the tomb.

As they worked, the some other spirits fought against the crumbling tomb. Monsters around them began to disappear, their bodies turning to ashes. Even the green-haired female, who had thrown Kyra into the portal, vanished in ash in venomcrest tribe.

Kyra in middle of the fading chaos, saw the monsters disappear and felt a wave of relief wash over her. Her eyes flashed with a sense of calm as the last of the enemies vanished, leaving the battlefield silent.

Benjamin was in a panic. The entire organization had been built around that dead person who craved the World Key. The Key was supposed to bring him back to life and make him even more powerful. Without it, Benjamin’s plans were falling apart.

He dodged Damon’s attacks, moving swiftly. Damon, still in human form and weakened by his injuries, struggled to land a hit. This made it easier for Benjamin to overpower him, as Damon fought with all his remaining strength.

Damon screamed as Benjamin’s face twisted into a dark, dangerous expression. Benjamin’s nails elongated and sharpened into deadly claws, poised to thrust into Damon’s chest.
