Chapter 307: Chapter 307 Can’t wait to claim her

"I will leave you alone! You guys take this room, and we will be staying in the other room," Oceanus said, giving one last look at Kyra before turning away.

She had multiple powers inside her body, powers that could absorb the World Key. She was special, the destined one.

Oceanus sighed as he glanced at her one last time. She was resting peacefully, He knew she needed to recover, and he hadn’t rested properly in days either.

Turning to leave, Oceanus motioned for Simon to follow. They walked across the room to the other side, Oceanus feeling the exhaustion setting in with every step.

Rest. That was what he needed, what they all needed. He leaned against the door, rubbing his eyes. "I haven’t had a proper rest in days," he muttered, his voice low and tired.

Simon nodded, glancing at Oceanus. He didn’t say much, knowing how drained he was. Silently, he made his way to bed.

Oceanus finally lay down, closing his eyes. For the first time in what felt like forever, he allowed himself to relax Little, letting the silence of the room take over.

On the other side, Damon lay on his right side beside Kyra, gently caressing her head, his large hand resting protectively on her stomach. To his left, Lucas was fast asleep on the bed’s edge, his back to them. Damon didn’t mind his presence; in fact, he appreciated it.

After all, Lucas had been the one carrying Damon on his back for the journey.

Yet, Lucas never complained, doing it all for Kyra’s sake. He had proven himself reliable and dedicated, his care for Kyra clear in every action.

Lucas wasn’t that bad, Damon thought, glancing at him briefly. He was stubborn and reckless at times, but his heart was in the right place. They might not always get along, but Lucas was someone Damon could trust with Kyra’s safety.

Turning his attention back to Kyra, Damon’s gaze softened. He brushed a strand of her hair away, his thumb grazing her cheek gently. The room was filled with the quiet sounds of their breathing, creating a peaceful atmosphere. For now, with Kyra safe and Lucas resting, Damon felt a rare moment of calm settle over him.

It wasn’t perfect, but in this quiet space, it was enough.

Damon’s life was finally on the right track after so many years of suffering. The lingering shadows of his past had started to lift, especially after he killed Benjamin, the source of so much of his pain and rage. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, he felt a sense of peace settling within him. But there was still unfinished business—Sandra was still out there, a threat he couldn’t afford to ignore. He would deal with her soon, but for now, he allowed himself to savor this moment of calm.

His gaze shifted to Kyra, her serene face stirring something deep within him. The thought of mating with her, of finally claiming her as his, filled him with a fierce, almost primal joy. She was his love, his everything, and the thought of marking her as his mate sent a thrill through him. The idea of her by his side forever was a dream he was eager to make reality.

Soon, he thought, brushing his thumb gently across her soft skin. Soon, she would be his in every way, and nothing would ever come between them again. His heart quickened at the thought. For Damon, the future finally looked bright, and he couldn’t wait to embrace it with Kyra by his side, bound to him in every way that mattered.

Damon kissed Kyra’s forehead gently and closed his eyes, a rare smile gracing his usually stern face. For once, everything felt perfect—peaceful, even. He couldn’t wait to make her his, to claim her fully. Meanwhile, on the other side of the bed, Lucas was having a vivid dream that was anything but peaceful.

In the dream, Lucas found himself standing in an unfamiliar, blank place, with Damon and Vincent silently standing behind him, their expressions unchanging and Cold. In front of him, Pablo, usually so tough and composed, was sobbing uncontrollably, tears streaming down his face. It was a strange sight—he had never seen Pablo cry like this.

"Don’t cry, Pablo... I’m here for you. Tell me what happened," Lucas said with a cold, commanding tone that matched his Alpha personality. Even though he felt sympathy, he maintained his authoritative attitude.

"Luca... Lucas!" Pablo cried, his voice trembling as he collapsed to the ground, his eyes red and puffy from crying.

"Tell me," Lucas urged, his voice softer but still holding the edge of command.

"Mia... Mia..." Pablo hiccuped, struggling to get the words out.

"Yes, I’m listening." Lucas watched as Pablo’s distress grew, his normally strong expression cracking further. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝙗.𝒄𝒐𝒎

"Mia... Mia became bald!" Pablo finally shouted, his voice echoing around them.

"..."

Lucas stared, his mind blank for a moment before it hit him. "... What?" He blinked, trying to process, and then— "Hahaha!" The laugh burst out of him, loud and uncontrolled. "She became bald? That’s... that’s great news!" He laughed so hard his stomach ached, the absurdity of the situation overtaking him completely.

From the corner of his eye, Lucas saw Mia striding towards them, her head shining like a polished gem under the dim light. The sight of her, hairless and fuming, was too much for Lucas to handle. He doubled over, laughter spilling from him in waves. Vincent and Damon stood behind him, watching the whole scene with their usual serious expressions, showing no sign of amusement.

"Lucas, this isn’t funny!" Mia yelled, stomping her foot, her shiny bald head gleaming. "I look ridiculous!"

But Lucas couldn’t stop. "Mia, I’m sorry, but I’ve never seen anything like it. You look like an egg!" he managed to gasp out between fits of laughter. He looked back at Damon and Vincent, expecting them to join in, but they remained stone-faced, completely unamused by the situation.

Mia’s eyes narrowed. "You think this is funny? You’ll pay for this, Lucas! I’m going to curse you to be hairless for the rest of your life!" she threatened, but as she turned to storm off, she slipped on the wet floor, her arms flailing as she tried to regain her balance.

Lucas’s laughter only intensified, his legs nearly giving out from the force of his amusement. Even as he clutched his stomach in pain from laughing so hard, Damon and Vincent watched without cracking a smile, their expressions cold and unchanging.

As Lucas continued to laugh, the dream shifted unexpectedly. Suddenly, he found himself staring at a mirror, but instead of his usual handsome reflection, he saw a hairless wolf.
