Chapter 308: Chapter 308 Universal energy

Lucas woke up with a gasp, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he clutched it, eyes squeezed shut.

"Just a dream, Lucas," he whispered to himself, trying to steady his breathing. "It was just a dream!"

But the image of the hairless wolf flashed before him, sending a shiver down his spine. The thought of actually becoming a bald wolf, stripped of his powerful fur and reduced to that ridiculous, shiny creature, made his skin crawl. He ran a hand through his own hair, feeling the familiar texture of his thick locks, reassuring himself it was still there.

He shook his head, trying to shake off the bizarre vision. "I almost became a bald wolf," he muttered, half in disbelief, half in amusement. He couldn’t help but chuckle.

Lucas glanced back at Damon and Kyra, still lost in their slumber, and sighed softly. He leaned back, closing his eyes, but sleep was nowhere near. His mind was restless, and his body felt stiff. Stretching his limbs, he quietly slipped out of the room, making sure to close the door gently behind him.

He noticed the other door was shut too, indicating Oceanus and Simon were probably resting. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder if the healer had come and left, finding no one awake to greet him. With everyone asleep, he had no way of knowing.

Feeling an itch to clear his head, Lucas made his way to the living room and pushed open the balcony doors. As he stepped outside, the breathtaking sight of the sunset unfolded before him. The sky was a canvas of pretty oranges, pinks, and purples, blending together as the sun dipped toward the horizon.

The view of the distant mountains, silhouetted against the fiery sky, was nothing short of magical. The trees below, with their lush green canopies, seemed to glow in the warm light, creating a breathtaking panorama that made Lucas feel momentarily at peace.

He leaned against the railing, letting the serenity of the evening wash over him.

Feeling the rumble of hunger in his stomach, Lucas made his way back into the living room, heading toward the small kitchen tucked into the corner. The sight of the marble kitchen table gleaming under the fading sunlight drew him in. Two sturdy earth stoves stood ready for use, while a neatly stacked pile of freshly cut wood awaited beside them.

As he rummaged through the cabinets, he found a container filled with washed meat, alongside pots and an array of spices neatly organized. A smile crept across his face—this was a perfect opportunity. He hadn’t eaten in days, and the prospect of a warm meal was too tempting to resist.

With swift efficiency, Lucas set to work. He seasoned the meat with a mix of spices, letting the flavors meld together as he cooked. The sizzle of the meat on the stove filled the kitchen, and the rich aroma wafted through the air, making his mouth water. He prepared a hearty portion, enough to satisfy Kyra, Damon, Simon, and Oceanus when they woke.

As he stirred the pot, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of normalcy wash over him.

The small window above the sink let in a gentle breeze, carrying the scent of the forest.

He hummed as after cooking he decided to wake up everyone .

He first woke Oceanus and Simon by banging on the door. "Wake up, wake up!" he shouted, his voice echoing in the quiet morning.

He heard Simon curse from inside and the sound of hurried footsteps approaching. Lucas’s eyes widened a little, and he quickly retreated back to their room, closing the door behind him just in time. He leaned against it, trying to suppress a grin.

Damon stirred awake, his eyes heavy with sleep. He glanced over at Lucas, his voice raspy and deep from just waking. "What did you do?"

Lucas quickly shook his head. "Nothing! I just made food for you all. Wake ky-ky up; she must be hungry."

Damon turned to Kyra, gently shaking her. "Little thing..." But she didn’t stir, her breathing steady but unresponsive.

A wave of panic washed over them. "She still hasn’t woken up after resting?" Lucas said, his voice rising with concern.

Damon’s expression hardened. "Go and call Oceanus."

Lucas dashed out, his heart racing. He found Oceanus and hurriedly brought him back to their room.

Oceanus stepped inside and immediately assessed Kyra’s condition. He turned to Damon and Lucas. "Can you leave the room?"

"Why?" they asked in unison, suspicion flickering in their eyes.

"Because with you here, I might not be able to focus," Oceanus replied, giving them a pointed look. Reluctantly, Damon and Lucas exchanged worried glances before stepping outside, anxiety tightening their chests as they waited for Oceanus to work his magic.

Oceanus moved closer to Kyra, his expression serious as he focused on her. He gently held her wrist in his webbed hands, closing his eyes to center himself. His fingers began to rub her wrist in a slow, rhythmic motion, feeling for any signs of life within her.

"Universe energy is endless..." Oceanus muttered as he continued to rub her wrist, his fingers expertly pressing on specific points along her hand. He could feel the subtle vibrations of her body beneath his touch.

This was the universe’s method of healing, a technique passed down through generations of Sirens. He knew that the entire universe was composed of energy, and those who understood how to harness it were true masters. Oceanus was one such master, adept at channeling this energy to mend and restore.

As he focused, he felt the flow of energy around him, weaving through the air and into Kyra. He envisioned the cosmic forces converging, wrapping her in a gentle embrace. With each press of his fingers, he guided the energy into her body, awakening her senses and stirring her spirit.

The connection deepened as he worked, the energy pulsating in rhythm with her heartbeat. Oceanus whispered quiet reassurances, his concentration deep and focused. He could feel her energy slowly responding, a faint spark igniting within her.

Kyra opened her eyes, and her gaze was immediately drawn to the stunning turquoise eyes that met hers. The face before her was breathtakingly handsome, with pale skin that seemed to glow and plump, light pink lips that were almost inviting. His long black and gray hair framed his face perfectly, adding to his striking appearance.

There was an undeniable allure in his eyes, a depth that seemed to pull her in. Without thinking, she muttered, "You’re handsome..." The words slipped from her lips.

"Thank you," Oceanus chuckled, a warm smile spreading across his face. "You’re quite the charming one, aren’t you, my little star?" He continued to hold her wrist gently, his touch both soothing and reassuring.

Kyra blinked as she took in Oceanus’s webbed hands and the unusual tunic made of some strange weed. Her senses sharpened, and she became aware of the intense gazes focused on her.

Lucas pouted, his lips forming a slight frown, his eyes reflecting a mix of sadness and jealousy. "Is he more handsome than me, Ky-ky?" he asked sadly.

Damon stood nearby, his face calm but serious. He was watching her closely, as if he was waiting for her to say something important. The air was thick with tension, and Kyra felt a rush of warmth in her cheeks as she realized what she had said. She sat up straight, her hair a messy halo around her head. 𝑛𝘰𝘷𝑝𝘶𝑏.𝑐𝘰𝘮

Oceanus chuckled softly. "It’s fine, little star. You didn’t realize what you were saying," he said, rubbing her head gently. His tone was warm and soothing, and Kyra couldn’t help but blush further at his touch.

Seeing her flustered, Oceanus smiled charmingly, his turquoise eyes sparkling.

Lucas, observing the scene, felt a pang of jealousy. His eyes widened as he noticed Kyra’s blush deepening. Once upon a time, she used to blush like this when she was close to him.

Damon’s expression remained serious, his gaze fixed on Kyra. He didn’t like seeing another male so close to her, especially one as captivating as Oceanus. Lucas felt a sense of urgency building within him. "Are you okay now, Kyra? Did Oceanus help you?" he asked, trying to regain her attention.

"Yes, I’m okay," she replied, meeting Lucas’s gaze.

Damon strode toward Kyra and looked down at her, his eyes filled with deep emotions. Without waiting for her response, he hugged her tightly, sitting down on the bed and pulling her into his lap. His lips brushed against her shoulder, and he inhaled her comforting scent. One hand held her waist close, while the other caressed her hair gently.

Lucas, feeling the warmth of the moment, came from behind and wrapped his arms around both of them, joining in the embrace. The three of them formed a cozy, intimate circle.

As he watched them, Oceanus felt a strange twist in his heart. The bond they shared was strong and intimate, and he realized he was an outsider in this moment. With a sigh, he stepped outside the room, giving them the space to share their warmth and affection without interruption.
