Chapter 338: Chapter 338 Back to home

After a long and exhausting journey, they encountered a few wild animals along the way. But with Kyra surrounded by strong, capable males, there was no real danger, and they dealt with any threat easily. In just two days, they reached the Celestia.

Their first stop in Celestia was Damon’s hoarding place—a he took every diamond and chest of ruby from his hidden Cave and transferred them into Kyra’s space capsule, which she found incredibly amusing. Watching him hoard even more for her made her laugh, thinking he was rather cute in this possessive, almost childlike way. His need to provide and protect always had a soft side to it that she appreciated.

Damon then led them to the place where he had first met Kyra, filling her space with endless racks of beautiful clothes. The memory of their first meeting stirred something deep in her heart, and she couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia.

Afterward, they made their way to Damon’s home, where they were warmly greeted by the leader and healer. Hearing that Damon had officially become Kyra’s mate, the two were hesitant to let them leave.

Despite their reluctance, the leader and healer blessed their union and offered their best wishes for the journey ahead. Damon respectfully thanked them for their kindness, and with that, they prepared to continue their travels.

"We have found Sandra," Leader Marc said suddenly, his voice heavy with news that caused Kyra to freeze in place.

"She is dead," he added, his words hanging in the air.

Kyra’s breath caught in her throat. Damon, standing beside her, looked equally shocked. He had never expected this. A deep sadness flashed across his face, mixed with disappointment. After everything Sandra had done, Damon had wanted to end her life himself—to feel his own claws sinking into her for what she had caused.

As Damon processed the news, neither he nor Kyra noticed the glint in Silas’s eyes. His gaze sparkled, an almost imperceptible smile playing at the corners of his lips. Though he said nothing, the flicker of satisfaction in his expression was unmistakable.

It was as if something he had planned had fallen perfectly into place.

After the emotional farewell, they resumed their journey once again. As they passed by the Emerald Bay, they weren’t sure of the exact path forward. Yet, Silas seemed to know, and Oceanus appeared equally confident.

Suddenly, Kyra’s eyes lit up, a spark of realization crossing her mind as she thought of something.

1 months later

The journey continued, filled with laughter and moments of pure happiness. Silas, who had always been more reserved, had slowly grown closer to Kyra. Though he didn’t speak much at first, when he did, it was clear he had a vast amount of knowledge.

His bond with Kyra deepened, and soon enough, Silas found himself talking more than anyone expected—even Lucas, who had always been the chatterbox of the group, was taken aback.

Lucas and Silas formed an unexpected connection, talking more often and sharing thoughts, strategies, and jokes. But this new closeness didn’t go unnoticed by Vincent, who couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous. Every time he saw Lucas and Silas together, laughing or engaged in conversation, Vincent would find his way to Kyra, dropping subtle hints about it, indirectly complaining about the growing friendship between the two.

Kyra, however, could read Vincent like an open book. She understood his emotions and his need to feel included, but instead of feeding his jealousy, she would simply laugh and tease him gently. "Lucas is a social butterfly, you know that," she’d say, patting Vincent on the back, making sure to reassure him.

Vincent, determined to get back at Lucas for spending so much time with Silas, decided to turn his attention to Damon and Oceanus. He talked endlessly with them, making Lucas feel a little left out. It didn’t take long for Lucas to notice the shift, and soon enough, he started teasing Vincent by calling him "snaky snakey." It was all in good fun, and the tension finally broke when Lucas, with his usual playfulness, pulled Vincent into a big hug, effectively settling the matter.

Damon, on the other hand, found a quiet comfort in Oceanus’s company. Oceanus never pressured him to talk, instead offering silent friendship, which Damon appreciated.

After what felt like an eternity of traveling, they finally reached the gates of the Venomcrest Tribe. Kyra, feeling a wave of relief, realized how much she had missed her home. She had been so focused on the journey and the people around her, but now, the familiar sight of Venomcrest made her heart swell. Her baby was now two months along, and her belly had started to show, just a slight bulge beneath her clothing. As they approached the gates, the weight of everything hit her.

Kyra’s eyes filled with tears, her emotions overwhelming her as the familiar gates came into view. Venomcrest, her home, was right in front of her, and the sight of it made her realize just how much she had longed for this moment.

"Boss!" Two viper guards stationed at the gate spotted Kyra and the others approaching. Their eyes lit up with joy, relieved to see Kyra safe and sound. It had been a long time since they’d last seen her, and her return was something they had been eagerly awaiting.

When the guards noticed Damon, Oceanus, and Silas standing beside Kyra, they exchanged confused glances. Their eyes scanned the three men, trying to grasp who they were. Silas, with his powerful aura, and Damon, who looked distinctly foreign, stood out immediately. However, when their gaze fell on Oceanus, who appeared much weaker in comparison, their curiosity was piqued.

Kyra, noticing their confusion, smiled softly. "My new mates," she said, her tone light and soft as she gestured toward Damon, Silas, and even Oceanus. The guards blinked in surprise but quickly nodded.

"Of course," one guard said, bowing slightly. After all, despite Oceanus seeming weaker, they could sense the power in Damon and Silas. Their presence alone was powerful.

"Welcome back, boss," they said, stepping aside to allow them all inside, the joy of their return still clear in their eyes.
