Chapter 337: Chapter 337 Journey

"Baby, why are you angry with me?" Lucas whined, his large, watery eyes shining with innocence as he chased after Kyra.

They had stopped by a stunning lake after five hours of travel. The water shimmered like diamonds under the sun, and tall trees around them provided cooling shade. Vincent had already caught a rabbits, which Damon was preparing for cooking, and Silas had laid out a mat under the trees for everyone to relax. Oceanus was swimming leisurely in the lake, enjoying the water, while Lucas continued his relentless pursuit of Kyra.

Kyra, however, was doing her best to avoid him, her mood still off from earlier. She didn’t want to give in just yet, especially not to Lucas, who was acting clueless. He pouted, following her like a lost puppy.

"Come on, ky-ky, just tell me what I did wrong!" Lucas pleaded, his voice soft but desperate as he kept up his puppy-eyed act.

"Not now, Lucas," Kyra replied, avoiding his gaze as she folded her arms. She could feel him hovering behind her, and despite her irritation, a part of her found his persistence a little cute.

Damon watched from the side, flipping the rabbit meat on the fire, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "You’re really in trouble this time, huh?" he muttered, not without amusement, he feels happy seeing her angry with him.

Silas, standing with his arms crossed, couldn’t take his eyes off Kyra. Every expression she made captivated him, and the desire to kiss her face all over surged within him. He tried to remain composed, but the way she moved, laughed, and interacted with the others only made his feelings for her stronger.

Kyra suddenly laughed, catching Lucas completely off guard. "Nothing, I’m not angry," she said, her mood flipping in an instant. Before Lucas could respond, she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. "You’re so cute," she whispered, planting a kiss on his cheek.

Lucas froze, his face turning a deep shade of red as he blushed furiously. "Oh-oh, ky-ky," he stammered, blinking in surprise. Then, with his usual playful spirit, he wiggled his eyebrows at her. "You should’ve just told me you were being naughty naughty," he teased, grinning from ear to ear.Kyra giggled at his reaction.

Behind them, Silas clenched his jaw, not out of anger, but out of the overwhelming need to feel the same closeness with her. His eyes darkened with desire, but he kept his composure, knowing his time would come.

The peaceful moment at the lakeside seemed to bring everyone closer, but Silas was already plotting how to win more of Kyra’s attention for himself.

After their break by the shimmering lake, the journey resumed, and this time Kyra found herself seated on Silas’s back. Her small hands rested gently on his soft, brown feathers as he flew through the open sky. There was something comforting about his presence, yet her stomach fluttered as if the wind wasn’t the only thing making her feel unsettled. The rhythmic motion of his flying started to lull her into drowsiness, though she tried to fight it off, unsure if it was safe to sleep mid-flight.

Noticing her discomfort, Silas slowed down, his powerful wings now gliding smoothly through the air. "You can lay on my back, love. I’ll fly steadily," he said, his voice calm and low even in his beast form. As a rank nine half-beast male, he could still speak, and his tone was laced with care.

Kyra hesitated for a moment before softly replying, "Thank you, Silas..." She slowly laid down on her stomach, resting her head on his broad, feathery back. His body was larger than normal eagles, providing her with a sense of security as his wings beat steadily, carrying them through the sky.

As she closed her eyes, her thoughts drifted. Silas was already her mate, and despite the initial awkwardness she felt around him, she realized that she didn’t want to keep him at a distance.

So, with a small burst of courage, she decided to take the first step. She hesitated, her heart beating faster, before leaning down and kissing his back softly.

"Thank you... I’m really feeling sleepy," she muttered against his feathers, gently rubbing her cheek against his back before closing her eyes.

Silas froze mid-air, his heart skipping a beat. The kiss sent a shockwave through him. Was he dreaming? Did his love just kiss his back? His thoughts raced, and if he were in his human form, he’d be grinning like a fool. But for now, he kept flying steadily, savoring the moment with every fiber of his being. Kyra had taken the first step, and that small gesture meant the world to him.

As night settled in and they found their resting spot, Kyra brought out the space capsule, something Silas had never seen in person before. His eyes widened in shock as the small capsule expanded into a full, luxurious living space, complete with an interior that looked like a cozy winter lodge. It was a sight that made Silas realize just how unique and mysterious Kyra truly was—her secrets only added to his fascination with her.

Kyra noticed the humidity in the air and immediately switched the capsule to its "Winter Adobe" theme, cooling the space and filling it with a comfortable, snug atmosphere. It was the perfect retreat from the uncomfortable weather outside. But as she finished setting everything up, one small problem emerged—the bed inside the capsule was only big enough for three people.

"Well," Oceanus said, taking the lead after a moment of thought, "we’ll have to take turns sleeping on the bed. Tonight, it’ll be Lucas and Vincent. Tomorrow, Damon and Silas. And on the third day, only me with little star"

Everyone nodded, accepting the arrangement. Though as usual, some teasing followed. Lucas threw a playful grin at Damon, who crossed his arms and rolled his eyes, clearly not thrilled about having to wait until tomorrow for a comfortable night’s sleep with Kyra. Silas, on the other hand, stayed quiet but couldn’t help feeling a twinge of anticipation about tomorrow, knowing he’d be closer to Kyra.
