Chapter 340: Chapter 340 Brothers reunion
"Who let you stay here? Get out," Vincent said coldly, his voice like ice. His expression was fierce, a dangerous edge in his eyes as he hissed the words.
Nerissa, completely ignoring his command, tilted her head with a smirk. "Who is this new type of male?" she muttered, completely brushing off Vincent’s anger. She patted the back of the anaconda she had been riding, signaling it to let her down. As she walked towards them, her hips swayed with a deliberate grace, her eyes zeroing in on Damon with unsettling interest.
Her lips curled into a slow smile as she bit down on her lower lip, studying him hungrily. The blue-haired male with his sharp silver eyes and strong, defined features caught her attention instantly. He was a Level Eight male, powerful, and his body... looked utterly tempting to her. She licked her lips as her gaze lingered on him, like a predator sizing up its prey.
Damon’s eyes darkened with disgust. He could feel the weight of her leering gaze, and it made his skin crawl. His silver eyes flashed coldly, and without hesitation, his hands transformed into sharp claws. The air around them shifted as Damon unleashed his oppressive aura, raw power radiating from him.
Nerissa and her mates froze, the air growing heavy, thick with Damon’s strong presence. The wind picked up, swirling around them as if it was feeding off his strength. Nerissa’s face contorted in shock, a few strands of her black hair whipping into the air. For the first time, her smirk faltered, twisting into an expression of anger as she realized the magnitude of his power. Damon wasn’t just some ordinary male—he was a threat, and he was making it clear that she had crossed a line.
"You dare..." she started, her voice trembling with rage, but the intensity of Damon’s aura pressed down harder, silencing her words before they could leave her lips.
Vincent let out a cold, mocking laugh, his voice echoing through the air. "Hmm... I wouldn’t mind personally kicking you out, Mother," he said, his tone dripping with icy menace. His eyes gleamed with a dangerous light as he stepped forward, towering over her with an air of dominance. "If you don’t leave my tribe peacefully, I’ll take care of it myself." The word mother fell from his lips like venom, laced with years of resentment and anger.
Nerissa’s face twisted with fury, but she didn’t dare move. The oppressive aura from Damon hadn’t faded, and now Vincent’s threat hung heavy in the air, daring her to challenge him.
For a brief moment, the tension between them crackled like lightning, but Vincent’s icy glare made it clear that he would not hesitate to follow through.
Nerissa’s face paled as Vincent’s words cut through her. Shock morphed into fear, but she attempted one last threat, her voice trembling. "If you don’t let me stay, I will snatch Toma from you!"
Vincent’s expression darkened further, his cold, unforgiving eyes locked on her. "You?" he scoffed, his voice filled with disgust. "You’ve abandoned every cub you’ve had because you were too selfish to care for them. And now, you dare to threaten me?" His aura flared, powerful and oppressive. "If you don’t leave, along with those useless males of yours, I’ll gladly kill a female who’s long since proven herself unworthy of life."
Beside him, Lucas growled lowly, his anger barely contained. "I don’t mind digging her grave," he said, his voice a quiet promise of violence.
Damon, standing just behind Vincent, smiled chillingly, his silver eyes flashing. "And I don’t mind cutting her into pieces," he added with eerie calm, his claws still sharp and ready.
Nerissa and her mates shivered, trembling under the weight of the threat.
"Who would want to stay in this disgusting tribe anyway..." Nerissa began, but before she could finish, a small stone flew through the air and struck her squarely in the head. She recoiled in shock, her hand reaching up to her forehead as she turned to see where it had come from.
Standing a few feet away was Toma, now taller than before, his black hair fluffy and wild. His big green eyes burned with anger as he glared at her. "You dare call this tribe disgusting? You’re the disgusting one!" he shouted, his voice cute but steady.
Behind him, Kyle and a few other males came running to catch up with him.
Vincent’s gaze softened momentarily as he looked at Toma, but his expression remained firm. "Take this female out of the tribe," he ordered coldly, directing his words to the other males who quickly moved to grab hold of Nerissa.
Her eyes widened in panic as they took hold of her arms. "No! No, I’m your mother!" she cried out, her voice desperate. "Toma, I’m your mom, baby!"
But Toma didn’t flinch. His gaze remained hardened, unaffected by her pleading. To him, she was no more than a stranger—a female who had never been there for him, and now it was too late for her to claim that role.
After the males dragged Nerissa away, little Toma stood still for a moment, staring up at Vincent with wide, tear-filled green eyes. His lips trembled, and fat tears began to roll down his cheeks as he whispered, "Brother..."
In a rush, Toma ran toward Vincent, his small legs carrying him as fast as they could. Vincent’s heart clenched with emotion as he bent down, scooping Toma up into his arms and holding him tightly against his chest.
"I missed you, little brother," Vincent muttered, his voice thick with affection as he squeezed Toma close.
Toma, still hiccuping through his tears, buried his face in Vincent’s neck. "Missed you too, big brother..." He hiccuped again before whispering urgently, "Now take me to my female... Ow... quickly!"
Vincent pulled back slightly, looking at Toma with an amused smile. "You only missed me a little," he teased, "but it sounds like you missed Rainbow even more, huh? You little traitor."
Toma, still sniffling, managed a small smile and nodded, his innocent green eyes twinkling. "She’s special!" he said earnestly, making Vincent chuckle as he ruffled his brother’s fluffy black hair.
