Chapter 349: Chapter 349 Tribe school

"Why...?" Kyra asked, her voice soft with confusion and hurt. She and Silas had just begun to grow closer, the bond between them deepening. But now, out of the blue, he had told her that he had something important to attend to in Eldoria and needed to return to Cloud City for some time.

"It’s something I have to take care of," Silas said, his tone distant, his golden eyes avoiding hers.

Kyra frowned, her disappointment clear in her expression. "If it’s important, then... it’s fine," she replied, trying to be understanding. But inside, it felt like he was pulling away from her just when they were becoming more connected.

Silas didn’t offer much more explanation, simply nodding before leaving. As he walked away, Damon and Vincent exchanged knowing looks. Since their date, Silas had been acting off, distant in a way that didn’t sit right with either of them. Something was wrong, and they both silently agreed that they needed to keep an eye on the situation.

While Silas was away, Kyra tried her best to keep herself busy, throwing her energy into organizing the tribe’s school. The furniture was already set up, and Kyra spent time discussing potential subjects with the tribe. She wanted the cubs to be prepared for their lives in the wild, and after careful consideration, she and the tribe agreed on the following subjects, 𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑝𝑢𝘣.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Combat: A vital skill for every cub, they needed someone strong and experienced to teach this. Kyra knew that finding someone with both strength and the ability to explain tactics was important. After a long process, she finally selected a powerful tribe male known for his combat skills and his ability to teach.

Survival Aid: Oceanus was the natural choice for this subject. His vast knowledge of medicine and self-healing would be invaluable to the cubs. Not only would he teach them how to care for their own injuries, but he was also going to work at the tribe’s hospital, further strengthening his role.

Plantation: This one was easy—Lucas. His love for plants and his expertise in growing and tending them made him the perfect candidate to teach the cubs how to cultivate and respect nature.

Creativity: Kyra wanted to give the cubs an outlet for their imagination, so she decided to include drawing, sewing, and other creative activities. Surprisingly, Damon was chosen as the teacher for this. His artistic flair and his ability to think outside the box made him a great fit.

With everything in place for the school, Kyra felt like things were progressing. But even as she moved forward, Silas’s absence continued to weigh on her mind. His sudden departure, his strange behavior—everything about it felt wrong. And though no one spoke it aloud, Damon and Vincent both shared her suspicions.

The school had officially started, and the cubs were buzzing with excitement. Little Toma was among the students, eager and bright-eyed, as were the others. The tribe had quickly settled into a new routine. Lucas, Damon, and Oceanus found themselves busier than ever, teaching their respective subjects, while Vincent was often occupied with tribal matters. This left Kyra feeling increasingly lonely at home.

It was during this quiet time that a nearby tribe approached with a proposal to build their own tribe. An idea sparked in Kyra’s mind, and she eagerly agreed to help. She designed their layout and helped facilitate a peaceful relationship between the snake and tiger tribes, bringing harmony to an area once filled with tension. With this new project, Kyra found herself busy, and before she knew it, an entire month had passed.

Silas returned, though something had changed. Kyra’s growing baby bump was more noticeable, yet Silas continued to avoid her, his once warm presence now distant. Kyra’s heart ached. She could feel the shift between them, and it hurt more than she could bear.

One evening, as Silas quietly tried to leave the living room, Kyra couldn’t hold back any longer. She grabbed his arm, tears filling her eyes. "Did I do something wrong?" she asked, her voice cracking. "I can feel you avoiding me..."

Silas froze, panic flashing in his golden eyes. "No, my love, it’s nothing," he muttered, pulling her into a hug, but his words felt hollow.

"No, you tell me!" Kyra demanded, pulling away to look at him, her teary eyes full of hurt.

Silas couldn’t avoid it anymore. His shoulders sagged, and he finally confessed, "We’re not soulmates... I didn’t find my mark."

The words hung heavy in the air. Kyra’s breath hitched, and before he could react, a sharp slap landed on his cheek. Silas stared at her in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief.

"You should have told me!" Kyra’s voice rose in anger. "You don’t need to distance yourself from me over this!" She grabbed his arm again and dragged him into their room, her emotions a mixture of hurt, frustration, and love.

Silas, still stunned, followed her, unable to understand how things had spiraled so quickly. His chest ached with the weight of everything he’d been holding back, but as he looked at Kyra, he realized he had underestimated her. She wasn’t angry because of the lack of a mark—she was furious because he had pulled away.

In the room, Kyra pulled Silas closer, her emotions swirling as they collided. He stumbled slightly, surprised when he bumped against her baby bump.

"Be careful..." Silas muttered, concern etched across his face.

But Kyra shook her head, determination igniting within her. Without warning, she stripped off her clothes, her gaze cold yet inviting. "Kiss me again..." she commanded, her voice firm.

Silas hesitated, caught off guard by her sudden boldness. The air between them thickened with tension, and he could feel his heart racing in his chest. Despite his reservations, he leaned in, pressing his lips against hers.

The moment their mouths met, Kyra felt a tingling sensation rush through her body, sparking memories of Lucas’s words about ethereal marks. She knew that she already bore marks on her back, neck, feet, and stomach. But she was missing a few key spots.

"Silas," she breathed between kisses, her voice barely above a whisper. "Kiss me... here." She turned around, exposing her back to him, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Silas’s eyes widened in shock, and he stood frozen for a moment, processing her request.
