Chapter 350: The end
Blood rushed to Silas’s lower body as he saw where Kyra was pointing, a mix of disbelief and excitement coursing through him. He leaned down and pressed his lips against her lower back, and suddenly, a sparkling mark appeared on her skin, shimmering with ethereal energy. He looked up, shock flooding his expression as he realized it was his mark.
A rush of emotions swept over him—relief, joy, and a sense of foolishness for not having asked her sooner. He should have known, should have trusted their bond. But just as quickly as his thoughts turned to joy, he was met with Kyra’s glare as she turned back to face him.
"You look hot, my love..." he said, trying to lighten the mood with a laugh, awkwardness creeping into his voice.
" I know, I look hot... hump!" she retorted, pulling on his ear with unexpected strength.
"Ow! Oh, sorry, sorry, miss angry bird..." Silas muttered, a grin spreading across his face despite the teasing pain.
Kyra huffed in indignation, crossing her arms and glaring at him. "The one calling me a bird!"
Silas couldn’t help but laugh at her fierce expression. "Okay, okay! I’ll behave. Just know that you’re the most beautiful angry bird I’ve ever seen." His voice softened, sincerity shining through.
Kyra’s anger melted slightly, a smile threatening to break through. "You’re lucky I love you," she said, rolling her eyes but unable to suppress her grin.
Silas stepped closer, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her into him. "And I’m lucky you finally showed me my mark. I’ve been a fool for thinking we weren’t meant for each other."
Kyra gazed up at him, her eyes sparkling with affection. "We are soulmates, Silas. And now, we’re officially bonded."
His heart soared at her words, and he leaned down, capturing her lips with his once more. The kiss was sweet and tender, filled with the promise of their shared future. As they broke apart, Silas rested his forehead against hers, both of them breathing heavily, relishing the moment.

"Oh, matter sorted between you two, huh?" Oceanus commented with a smirk. "By the way, where exactly is your mark?" he added with playful curiosity.
Kyra and Silas exchanged a quick glance before shaking their heads, refusing to share the detail. It was their secret, and they intended to keep it that way.
But Lucas, the ever-observant expert on ethereal marks, grinned widely as if he’d figured it out. "I’m guessing it’s related to... sensuality," he said, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
Kyra’s eyes widened in shock before narrowing into a glare. Without warning, she dashed toward him, fuming with embarrassment. "Lucas!" she shouted, chasing after him.
"Be careful, Rainbow!" Vincent chuckled as he caught her effortlessly, preventing her from running too far. He held her back, not letting her pursue Lucas. She looked up at him, her cheeks flushed with frustration.
"Don’t worry, Rainbow. I’ll take care of him," Vincent promised with a grin. "You’re pregnant—leave the beatings to me."
"Hump! This wolf needs a serious beating!" Kyra huffed, folding her arms as she watched Lucas stick his tongue out at her from a safe distance, clearly enjoying himself.
Vincent laughed and rubbed her back soothingly. "I’ll get him for you later, promise," he teased, as Kyra finally cracked a small smile, her anger melting away as the moment lightened.
---
Two months later, Kyra found herself in the throes of labor. In her tribe, females had little knowledge about childbirth, so the males had stepped up to learn how to assist during this critical time in this world.
Oceanus was preparing to help her deliver in the lab room next to her own, a space that had been transformed and equipped for the occasion.
Vincent paced the floor, his expression a mix of panic and worry. He couldn’t help but feel anxious, a storm of emotions swirling inside him. Lucas noticed his distress and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, offering comfort. "Vince, she’s strong. You know that," he reassured him, gently patting Vincent’s back.
Damon stood to the side, his face a mask of nervousness. He could hardly stay still, his eyes darting toward the door as if expecting it to burst open at any moment.
Silas walked back and forth, clearly agitated, unable to settle his nerves. He ran a hand through his hair, glancing at the door every time a sound emerged from within.
"Stop, Silas! I feel dizzy just watching you!" Damon exclaimed, trying to catch his breath amid the tension.
"I know, I know. I’m just... worried," Silas replied, his voice strained with concern.
Hours of agonizing screams echoed through the room, and Vincent felt his heart pounding in his chest. He stared at the door with tears brimming in his eyes, his hands clenched into tight fists as he felt helpless.
Then, suddenly, a wail pierced through the air, the sound of a newborn’s cry, slicing through the tension like a warm ray of sunlight.
"No eggs!" Vincent exclaimed, his heart racing. A wide smile broke across his face as he processed the meaning of the sound.
"It’s a little rainbow!" he shouted, his voice filled with uncontainable joy.
The door swung open by oceanus, and excitement surged through the room as everyone rushed inside. Vincent’s eyes softened as he caught sight of Oceanus, beaming with pride as he held the tiny baby in his arms.
"Look at her!" Oceanus announced, a broad smile lighting up his face.
Vincent’s heart swelled with love and awe as first he walked over to Kyra, who was peacefully sleeping. He leaned down and gently kissed her forehead, grateful for the strength she had shown throughout the labor.
Finally, he turned his attention to Oceanus, who carefully cradled the small pink bundle wrapped in a soft towel. As if sensing Vincent’s presence, the baby opened her eyes, revealing striking red irises that seemed to sparkle with life.
"She’s just like you, Vince!" Lucas exclaimed, grinning as everyone gathered around to take a closer look at the baby girl.
At that moment, Toma burst into the room, excitement bubbling over as he jumped up to get a glimpse of his new sister, with Kyle trailing behind him, laughing at his enthusiasm.
Vincent’s heart melted as he watched Toma’s innocent joy. He turned his gaze back to the baby, feeling an overwhelming urge to reach out and touch her. As he slowly extended his hand, the baby’s tiny fingers gripped his, causing tears to well up in his eyes. The connection was immediate and profound.
"Why is my sister bald?" Toma asked, looking genuinely puzzled, and the room erupted in laughter.
Kyra, now awake, smiled at Toma’s playful remark, her heart filling with warmth as she took in the lighthearted scene.
Oceanus stepped closer, guiding Vincent on how to hold the baby. With careful movements, Vincent sat on the edge of the bed, gently lifting her into his arms. He gazed down at the little girl, taking in her delicate features and the soft warmth of her body.
"Our little rainbow," he whispered, his voice filled with wonder. Leaning down, he kissed Kyra’s forehead again, feeling a sense of completeness wash over him.
