Chapter 352: Extra: Lucas legacy
Today was a special day in the Venomcrest Tribe, a time for celebration and joy as they marked the end of the year. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and the soft glow of the bonfire flickering against the night sky.
Kyra stood at the center of it all, dressed beautifully in a long maroon dress that flowed gracefully with her movements. The rich color contrasted beautifully with her fair skin, and her hair was elegantly styled in a bun, adorned with small flowers that added a touch of natural beauty.
Beside her, her children radiated joy. Kaya, with her fiery red eyes and long hair, looked like a miniature version of her mother.
Orion and Ari, with their bright smiles and playful energy, were busy trying to catch the sparks flying up from the bonfire, their laughter echoing through the clearing.
As the night progressed, the tribe gathered around the bonfire, sharing stories and traditions. The warmth of the fire was inviting, and the smell of roasted meats and sweet fruits filled the air, making everyone’s mouths water.
"Look, Mumma! They’re dancing!" Damien exclaimed, pointing at a group of tribe members who were performing a lively dance, their movements full of energy and joy.
Kyra smiled, her heart swelling with pride and happiness. "Yes, they are! Would you like to join them?"
"Yes!" Damien shouted, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Without waiting for an answer, he took off toward the dancers, his laughter mingling with the rhythmic beats of the drums that filled the night.
Kyra watched her son with a warm smile, feeling grateful for these moments of pure joy. Orion and Ari followed him, their giggles ringing out as they joined in the festivities.
Nearby, Lucas, Silas, Vincent, Damon and Oceanus were engaging in friendly competition, tossing a large ball back and forth, their playful banter adding to the cheerful ambiance.
"Why don’t you join them, baby?" Kyra asked, looking down at Kaya, who was watching her siblings dance playfully around the bonfire. The flickering flames cast a warm glow, and the sounds of laughter filled the air.
Kaya looked hesitant, her small hands fiddling with the hem of her dress. Sensing her uncertainty, Kyra bent down to her level, her voice gentle and encouraging. "If you don’t like dancing like that, you don’t have to, but you should enjoy every moment."
Kaya’s eyes brightened at her mother’s words. "Join?" she asked, glancing back at her siblings, who were spinning and laughing, completely lost in the joy of the celebration.
Kyra smiled and nodded her head, her heart swelling with love for her little girl. "Yes, let’s join them!"
With that, Kyra took Kaya’s hand and led her toward the group. As they entered the circle of dancers, Kaya’s initial shyness began to fade, replaced by the excitement of being part of something so joyful. Kyra held her daughter’s hand tightly and began to twirl her around gently, showing her the rhythm of the dance.
"Like this, sweetheart," Kyra said, demonstrating the steps as she twirled gracefully. Kaya watched her mother with wide eyes, mimicking her movements as best as she could. Although her little steps were awkward and uncoordinated, she was filled with happiness, her laughter ringing out like music.
Kyra couldn’t help but chuckle at Kaya’s clumsy but endearing attempts. "That’s it! You’re doing great!" she cheered, encouraging her daughter as they danced together under the stars.
As they spun and swayed, the warmth of the bonfire wrapped around them like a cozy blanket.
Before long, she was laughing and twirling with abandon, and Kyra felt a sense of pride watching her daughter embrace the moment. Kaya’s giggles mixed with the vibrant sounds of the tribe celebrating around them, creating a beautiful melody of family and happiness.
"See, dancing is fun!" Kyra said, her heart full as she watched Kaya’s joy bloom. The little girl beamed up at her, her earlier hesitation forgotten.
"Everyone!" Suddenly, Lucas clapped his hands, drawing everyone’s attention. Kyra, noticing that Orion was standing beside him, felt a wave of concern. Lucas looked quite emotional, his usual playful demeanor replaced with something serious. What on earth had happened? Kyra’s eyes narrowed in worry.
The crowd fell silent, curious about what was going on.
"Thank you, everyone..." Lucas began, his voice trembling with emotion. "Today, my son gave me the biggest happiness of my life. I had always dreamed of becoming a singer, but, sadly, that didn’t happen..." His lip quivered as he wiped away a dramatic tear. Kyra raised an eyebrow, feeling somthing is wrong. "But today, my son—my little Orion—said he wants to become a singer! I’m so emotional right now!" He sniffled loudly, looking unbelievably proud.
The crowd murmured in excitement, everyone’s gaze turning to the small boy. Even Kyra felt intrigued, though she couldn’t help but remember the last time Lucas sang. Hopefully, Orion didn’t take after his father in this particular skill...
"Orion!" Lucas called with beaming pride. The little boy nodded, his eyes sparkling with determination as he stepped forward. Everyone leaned in, eager to witness this adorable moment. Kyra found herself holding her breath, praying for a miracle.
Orion, without hesitation, shifted into his fluffy silver wolf cub form and sat down on the ground. There was a beat of silence. Kyra’s brows furrowed—something about this scene felt oddly familiar.
And then it happened.
"Wooooooooof!" Orion howled with all his might.
Everyone: "..."
"Wooooooooooooooof!"
Kyra: "..." That’s why this scene felt familiar.
"Woooooof, wooooof!" Orion continued with full enthusiasm, his little wolf form giving it everything he had.
The crowd stood frozen, expressions ranging from shock to barely contained laughter. Lucas, on the other hand, clapped his hands with wild excitement, completely oblivious to the stunned silence. "That’s my boy!!" he cheered, practically jumping up and down.
Kyra pinched the bridge of her nose, trying not to burst into laughter. She shot a knowing look at Vincent, who was struggling to maintain his composure. "I should’ve known," she muttered under her breath.
Meanwhile, Orion, satisfied with his grand performance, shifted back into his human form and gave an exaggerated bow. Lucas hugged him tightly, still on cloud nine. "Wasn’t that incredible?! He’s got the talent of a future star!"
Everyone: "..."
Kyra: Definitely Lucas’ son.
