Chapter 68: Chapter 68 Venomcrest Tribe

Vincent approached Kyra and Lucas with a neutral expression on his face. Lucas became alert and cautious as he saw Vincent approaching them.

"What do you want?" Lucas asked as they stopped dancing. Kyra lowered her hands from Lucas’ chest and looked at Vincent.

Vincent smiled at Kyra and said, "May I have the chance to dance with you, female?" as he held out his hand invitingly.

Kyra glanced at Lucas, who gave a slight nod of approval. Seeing this, Vincent’s smile widened, and he seemed pleased that Lucas was allowing him to dance with Kyra.

Lucas was a little bit cute, Vincent thought.

Kyra placed her soft hand in Vincent’s outstretched one. The other people in the room looked surprised, as if they couldn’t believe the boss was really interested in this new woman.

The music shifted to a faster, more intense beat. Kyra felt a little uncomfortable, but her heart started racing with anticipation. She placed her hand on Vincent’s shoulder and looked up into his eyes.

Vincent gazed back at her intently as they began to move together. He spun Kyra and then pulled her back against his chest, lowering his head to breathe in her alluring scent.

Kyra felt so right in his arms, and his large hands on her waist made her feel protected and cared for. As the music faded, Vincent moved his lips closer to Kyra’s face, but she quickly turned away and ran back to Lucas, who was already glaring at Vincent with clear disapproval.

"Are you okay?" Lucas asked, seeing Kyra breathing deeply after her dance with Vincent.

"Yeah, I... I don’t know what happened." Kyra replied anxiously. She couldn’t understand why she had felt drawn to Vincent, when she loved Lucas so deeply.

Lucas pulled Kyra into a comforting hug, patting her back soothingly. "It’s okay, shh... it’s alright." he said, casting a disapproving glare in Vincent’s direction, who was already looking at them.

’He is creepy.’ Lucas thought as he showed his middle finger to Vincent.

Vincent glared back at Lucas, but Kyle started laughing loudly at the exchange.

"Goodness, this wolf is so interesting!" he said, wiping the tears from his eyes.

Vincent made a disgruntled face, though Kyle noticed that his expressions had become more expressive since meeting Kyra and Lucas. Before, his face had always been straight and angry, but now it displayed a wider range of emotions.

"Food, food, food!" Lucas suddenly exclaimed, pulling Kyra towards the food section. Kyra obediently held the plate as Lucas piled on all of his favorite dishes.

"Do you know why I love celebrations?" Lucas asked, grinning mischievously. Nearby guests looked at him curiously, eager to hear his answer.

"Because I can have free food!" Lucas chuckled because he was too lazy to cook.

!!!

Everyone looked at Lucas with wide eyes as he sheepishly smiled and winked.

"I know I’m handsome, but don’t stare at me too much, you know." Lucas said arrogantly as he pulled Kyra along with him, the plate of food in her hands.

Kyra smiled helplessly at Lucas’ antics. This was just Lucas being Lucas, and staying by his side made her life so much more interesting. Her previously plain and dull life had become far more exciting.

Lucas found them chairs, and they sat down together to eat the light snacks. They watched in amusement as a solo snake dancer performed on the stage.

"Woo-hoo!" Lucas shouted, thoroughly enjoying the performance. He thought that if the Silver Tribe ever held a celebration, he’d love to do a special snake dance like this one.

After the dance, Kyle and Vincent approached the crowd again.

"So, I hope you’ve all enjoyed yourselves so far!" Kyle announced. "But now, it’s time for the big announcement - the name of our new tribe!"

"Do you want to know?" he asked, his voice rising in excitement.

"Yes!" the crowd responded enthusiastically. 𝓷ℴ𝓋𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝒸𝓸𝓶

Vincent stepped forward, a smile spreading across his face. "Our new tribe name is... Venomcrest Tribe!"

"Yay!" the crowd cheered.

The entire night, the Snake tribe celebrated because they had finally secured their rights. They were overflowing with happiness, eager to begin building their tribe quickly.

Midway through the celebration, Lucas and Kyra grew tired, realizing they needed rest for their journey the next day. Kyra’s hair was messy from the festivities, while Lucas was washing up. Kyra glanced at herself in the mirror as she started combing her hair, noticing she really needed a face wash.

She wasn’t fond of the soap in the bathroom, but she had no choice for now. Tomorrow, she hoped to find her own bag. Lost in thought, she combed her hair, thinking about the upcoming transformation into a Beast next month and the pain she might have to endure. She hoped everything would go smoothly.

Unbeknownst to her, as she looked in the mirror, she failed to notice the dark figure lurking in the corner of the room, its saucer-like eyes fixed upon her. The entity’s entire body was cloaked in a deep, ebony hue, with a faint crimson aura pulsating around it. It observed Kyra with an unreadable expression.

Kyra finished combing her hair and headed to bed, choosing one of the dresses Vincent had sent her earlier. She was suprised how those clothes never seemed to get dirty or need washing, regardless of how much she sweated. She wondered what kind of material they were made of, as they didn’t resemble snake shed at all.

After Lucas returned from the washroom, Kyra grabbed a towel and a fresh set of clothes, heading into the bathroom. She undressed, carefully placing the golden dress aside.

Feeling the refreshing sensation of the cold water on her tired, sweaty body, she sighed contentedly, closing her eyes as she used the soap to cleanse herself.

"Hmm." she sighed again, feeling rejuvenated after the quick wash. After changing into her fresh clothes, she returned to the bedroom, where the sounds of the celebration downstairs still echoed. However, they needed to conserve their energy for the journey ahead.

Lucas turned off the lights, and both of them quickly drifted off to sleep, exhausted from the day’s events.
