Chapter 69: Chapter 69 Their boss had really changed!

The next morning, Kyra and Lucas were packing their belongings. It wasn’t much. Lucas put a pouch with thousands of coins in the bag and clothes. They were preparing to leave when a sudden knock came at the door. Lucas went to answer it and found Vincent, Toma, Kyle, Lan, and Jimmy waiting outside.

Toma, immediately spotted Kyra and exclaimed excitedly, "My princess!" His eyes lit up with joy as he rushed towards her. Kyra smiled warmly and walked over to the excited little boy.

Toma wrapped his chubby arms around Kyra’s legs, looking up at her with adoration. "I’ll miss you so much!" he said, his voice trembling slightly.

Kyra’s heart melted at the sight of the affectionate child. She remembered the first time they met, when Toma had tried so hard to climb up just to catch a glimpse of her. Gently, she picked him up and pulled him into a tight hug. "I’ll miss you too, little one." she said softly, placing a tender kiss on his cheek.

Toma’s face flushed with a deep blush as he nuzzled Kyra’s neck. "I told my friends that you’re my future mate, but they want to be your mates too. I don’t want to share you with anyone!" he pouted, his chubby face mere inches from Kyra’s.

Kyra couldn’t help but chuckle at Toma’s possessive declaration. "Aww, you’re so cute, little guy." she said, playfully ruffling his hair. Toma beamed with pride and then leaned in, planting a loud, wet kiss on Kyra’s cheek.

The others watched the interaction with fond smiles on their faces. Suddenly, Vincent stepped forward and said Kyra’s name in a smooth, low voice, "Kyra, may I have a word with you?"

Lucas glared at Vincent, his protective instincts flaring up.

Jimmy and Lan moved closer to Lucas, while Kyle stood looked evrything with gossiping eyes.

Vincent stepped forward and spoke directly to Kyra in front of everyone, "Thank you for helping us draw up the blueprints for our Venomcrest tribe. And I have an offer for you."

Kyle, Jimmy, and Lan’s eyes widened at the way Vincent was talking to Kyra. It was unusual to see the feral king, known for his short temper, being so polite.

Lucas quickly went to Kyra’s side and asked, raising his brows, "What offer?"

Seeing Lucas’s protective behavior, Vincent suppressed a smile and said, "I’ve noticed Kyra’s talent, and I’d like her to help us further with the tribe’s blueprint, designing fences and common areas. In return, she will receive three thousand coins."

Hearing the offer, Kyra was tempted. She had been relying on Lucas since she was transported to this world, and she didn’t like feeling like a burden. This opportunity would allow her to earn her own keep.

Lucas fell silent, looking at Kyra. If she wanted to take the offer, he would support her wholeheartedly. He wasn’t the type of mate who would feel his pride diminished if his female started earning money. In fact, he felt proud of her, and even if she didn’t take the offer, it wouldn’t matter much to him, as he earned a decent income from his carrot farm and guarding duties.

Kyra thought for a moment and then nodded, saying, "Sure, but how will it work if we’re going to return home?"

"Don’t worry," Vincent reassured her. "I’ll come to the Silver Wolf tribe and take you to our land." His heart almost leapt in his chest when she nodded. Everything around him seemed to become more colourful.

For her, he was willing to deal with the ’crazy wolf’

Little did he know that they would become the greatest of friends, each other’s backbone in the future.

"If you go to the Silver Wolf tribe and say you’re a friend of Warrior Lucas, they’ll show you where I live." Lucas said proudly, looking at Vincent.

Vincent rolled his eyes, "Sure, I’ll ask if anyone knows the infamous crazy wolf.’"

Hearing his words, Lucas glared at Vincent. "Crazy wolf? I don’t see another wolf here."

Kyle, Jimmy, and Lan looked even more shocked. Their boss had really changed!

"Let’s go outside." Lucas said, and everyone walked out of the castle.

Outside the castle, Jimmy and Lan looked at Lucas sadly. Seeing their expressions, Lucas rolled his eyes and said, "What are you waiting for? Come here," spreading his arms. Jimmy and Lan ran to hug him, saying, "We’ll miss you, Wolf."

"I’ll miss you too." Lucas said, hugging them tightly.

Vincent looked away, feeling uncomfortable with the scene. Lucas’s words, ’Can we become friends?’ echoed in his mind, and his jaw clenched.

’This wolf wants to become my friend, a liar who makes friends with everyone.’ he thought, glancing at Kyra. He felt better, thinking, ’I’ll become her mate soon. Just wait and watch, Lucas.’

Kyra hugged little Toma tightly, showering his face with kisses. "I’m going to miss you so much, my little prince." she said as Toma’s eyes became teary.

Kyra held Toma in her arms, her own eyes reddening from the emotion of the moment.

After gently putting Toma down, Kyra turned and smiled at Jimmy, Lan, and Kyle.

Lucas looked at Vincent and smirked, thinking, ’Let’s have some fun with him.’ Without giving Vincent a chance, he charged towards him.

Everyone’s eyes widened, thinking Lucas was about to attack Vincent.

Vincent became alert, ready to kick the ’crazy wolf’ but was taken by surprise when Lucas tackled him into a hug.

"Hehe, I’ll miss you too, Snaky." Lucas said. Vincent was shocked and didn’t hug him back, but looked down at the silver-haired head.

However, all of Vincent’s complicated feelings instantly died when Lucas stuck out his tongue at him and flashed an arrogant, smug expression. Lucas then broke the hug and pushed the ’crazy wolf’ away expressionlessly.

’He’s making fun of me,’ Vincent thought, glaring at Lucas. ’I’ll make you regret this.’

He then went to Kyra’s side. Kyra raised her brows, seeing him approach.

Lucas also became alert, and to everyone’s shock, Vincent pulled Kyra into a hug.
