Chapter 70: Chapter 70 Adopted son Lucas?
Kyra was caught off guard as Vinecnt suddenly enveloped her in an unexpected hug. His masculine, cool scent enveloped her, and she couldn’t help but notice how strangely...comfortable it felt. However, her natural instinct was to remain stiff, not returning the embrace.
Vinecnt, on the other hand, seemed to melt into the hug, a blissful expression spreading across his face. ’Ahh, this feels so right.’ he sighed, nuzzling his nose into Kyra’s hair.
Their intimate moment was abruptly shattered by a loud, piercing cry. "NOOOOOOOOO!" Lucas came barreling towards them, his eyes wide with horror.
"..." Everyone reflexively clamped their hands over their ears, wincing at the earsplitting volume of Lucas’ shout.
Wedging himself between Kyra and Vinecnt, Lucas wrapped his arms possessively around Kyra. "She’s mine!" he growled, glaring daggers at Vinecnt.
Vinecnt merely rolled his eyes, a smug smirk playing on his lips. ’We’ll see about that.’ he thought to himself.

Kyra waved goodbye to everyone, her long red hair flying in the breeze as she sat behind Lucas on his back. With a smile, Lucas took off running, the wind whipping through Kyra’s hair.
Glancing back, Kyra’s heart skipped a beat when she caught Vincent’s intense gaze locked on her. Quickly, she turned her head away, biting her lip nervously.
After running for what felt like hours, Lucas finally arrived at the small, dark cave where he found Kyra back then.
"Hey Kyra, are you sure about this?" Lucas asked, glancing back at her with concern. "What if your bag gets stolen while we’re in there?"
"No, it can’t be." Kyra replied confidently, and the two of them proceeded into the cave.
Once inside, Lucas looked around. "I don’t see anything." he said, puzzled. Kyra met his gaze, then suddenly raised her wrist. To Lucas’ amazement, as soon as she tapped her wrist, bracelet appear on her wrist as the cave was illuminated.
"Look, it’s here." Kyra said with a smile, walking towards a shimmering bag in the center of the cave. She tapped her wrist again, and the bag suddenly disappeared from view, leaving Lucas staring in shock.
"K-yra did you just did magic" He asked wide eyed as he looked at Kyra.
Kyra couldn’t help but smile at Lucas’ adorable reaction. She walked over to him and playfully pinched his cheeks. "Nope, it’s not magic - it’s technology from my world," she explained.
Hearing this, Lucas’ eyes lit up with curiosity. "Wow, I’m so intrigued to learn more about your world! But first, what’s inside that bag of yours?" he asked eagerly.
Kyra chuckled with glint in her eye. "Ah, that’s a surprise. You’ll have to wait until we get home to see." she replied mysteriously.
"I can’t wait!" Lucas exclaimed, excitedly. "Alright, hop on my back and let’s head home. I’m sure my mom’s been worried sick about me." He flashed Kyra a warm smile.
Kyra climbed onto Lucas’ back, still holding her bag that Lucas packed. With that, Lucas transformed back into his wolf form and set off at a swift pace towards the Silver Wolf tribe.
As they approached the gates, Lucas felt a surge of emotion. He had missed his home dearly. The tribe member caught sight of them and murmurs began to ripple through the crowd.
"Oh my goodness, Lucas is back! He was kidnapped for a third time but he’s alive!"
"I heard the female helped rescue Lucas from the snakes," another tribe member whispered.
"Lucas is so lucky to have survived - and with such a beautiful girl, too. The beast god must be watching over him!"
"He’s quite cool, isn’t he?"
Eager to reunite with his mother, Lucas hurried towards his family’s house, Kyra holding tight to his back.
As Lucas approached the familiar house, a wave of emotion washed over him. It had been far too long since he’d set foot in this place he once called home.
Kyra climbed off his back as he turned human.
"Let’s go inside." he said, gently tugging Kyra’s hand as they made their way to the front door. The moment they stepped through the threshold, Lucas could feel the anticipation in the air.
"Mom!" he called out, his voice laced with a mix of excitement and nervousness. However, before he could take another step, his mother, Gina, came storming in, her eyes narrowed.
"Stop right there, you ADOPTED SON!" she shouted, her finger pointed accusingly at Lucas.
Lucas tilted his head, confusion etching his features. "Mom? Did you hit your head and forget who I am?" he asked.
But Gina was having none of it. "Look at him, still making jokes!" she cried, her eyes brimming with tears as she turned to Lucas’ father, Wilson. "Husband, give me your slipper!" she demanded.
Wilson, with a loving smile, promptly removed his slipper and handed it to Gina, much to Lucas’ growing concern. no𝚟𝚙u𝚋.c𝚘m
Suddenly, a loud wolf-like howl echoed in the distance, causing the birds to take flight from the nearby trees. Lucas cried out as Gina began mercilessly beating him with the slipper.
"Dad, say something to Mom!" Lucas pleaded, wincing with each strike.
"My wife is the best." Wilson replied, his voice full of adoration.
Everyone: "..."
Kyra, unable to bear the sight of Lucas’ torment, tried to intervene. "Aunty, please—"
"Call me ’Mom’!" Gina interrupted, her tone sharp. "This adopted son of mine loves to do dangerous things, you know. People have been so worried about him!"
"But I’m not an adopted son!" Lucas protested, his pout deepening. "If anything, you’re the adopted mom!"
!!!!
"Adopted mom?"
Everyone looked at Lucas, who was now glaring at his mom. "You don’t love me anymore, right? You want to disown me, right?" Lucas cried out as tears streamed down his face. Kyra hurriedly went towards him.
"Mom, please, Lucas is sorry..." Kyra said. However, Gina started crying even louder.
"Woooooo! My son told me I am an adopted mom... I don’t... I don’t know what to do... woooooo." she cried loudly as she sat on the floor.
Lucas, who was also crying, had tears hanging from his eyelashes as he looked at his mom blankly.
God, just what happened?
