Chapter 71: Chapter 71 Lucas fooled Partrich once more.

Wilson softly embraced Gina as she sobbed uncontrollably. "Shh, love, it’s alright. Please don’t cry. Everything’s going to be okay.." he murmured comfortingly, gently rubbing her back.

Gina’s crying turned into hiccups. She looked at Lucas and said, "Do you know how worried I was? I thought, ’What if you were eaten by a feral snake?’ But no, look at you... you..." Gina started crying again.

Lucas apologized, "I’m sorry, Mom! I don’t know what happened. When I woke up, they didn’t even try to eat me! I even made friends with some snakes. One female snake tried to..." As Lucas started talking, Gina stopped crying, interested in hearing more. She walked over to Lucas and led him to the sofa, listening intently.

Gina playfully slapped Lucas’s head and said, "Haha, you’re so smart, my cub." She was pleased to hear how he had earned the money.

Kyra: "..."

Gina’s husbands: "..."

What happened? Who is fighting here just ago and crying, calling each other adopted?

Wilson smiled at Kyra and said, "Thank you for saving my son."

Kyra quickly said, "No need to thank me, Uncle. Lucas is my mate too. I had to help him."

"Are you hungry? We have food ready. When mother and son start talking, they won’t stop for a while." Wilson Said softly.

Kyra looked at Lucas and Gina and laughed. "Sure, I’d love some food."

Wilson said awkwardly, "And please, call me Dad. You’re like a daughter to me."

Kyra smiled, feeling warm as she called him "Dad."

Wilson’s heart melted, as did Gina’s other husbands.

David looked at them with envy. If only his son were here, he would also make him Kyra’s mate. It’s a pity he wasn’t.

Louis also wanted Kyra to call him Dad but hesitated.

Steven came and said to Kyra with a sweet smile, "Quickly wash your hands. I made the meal, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it."

Louis showed Kyra the way to the washroom. In Gina’s house, there was a separate dining room with large windows and beautiful wooden furniture.

Steven spread a mat for Kyra and said, "Wait here, child. I’ll call Lucas."

Left alone with Kyra, Wilson and Louis also spread mats for everyone. Seeing this, Kyra offered to help, and they smiled, seeing how helpful she was.

Soon, Lucas and Gina came into the room, and Lucas sat next to Kyra. Gina’s two other husbands, Max and Joseph, served the food and joined them to eat.

Kyra loved food, especially the fragrant cumin rice and the flavorful chicken curry that she had just finished eating. She had also enjoyed the fresh salad on the side, which provided a crisp and refreshing contrast to the rich main dishes.

The food had a wonderful taste - it was savory and slightly spicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. Kyra savored every bite, carefully scooping up the last few grains of rice and mopping up the last of the curry sauce with a piece of freshly tawa fried naan bread. She washed it all down with a refreshing fruit juice, though she wasn’t sure exactly which type of fruit it was - all she knew was that it was deliciously sweet.

The food here was quite different from what Kyra was used to back home, but she loved it. There was a certain wholesome, organic quality to the flavors that she found very appealing and everything tasted like it had been made with care and skill.

After the meal, Kyra and the others moved to the living room. Kyra and Lucas then shared their story about what had happened.

As they listened, everyone looked at Kyra with admiration.

"You’ve been raised so well! But child, where are you from? Are you from a neighboring country or from Valoria?" Louis suddenly asked.

Kyra stiffened. She had no idea how to answer since she didn’t know the names of the places here.

"Norfara, Celestia." Kyra said, remembering when Kyle mentioned that pianos were invented there.

"Oh, wow! That explains why you’re so smart! I’ve heard that all the Beast in Celestia are spiritual. I’ve heard it’s a breathtaking country, and the aurora borealis can be seen there..." Steven said, becoming excited. "And it’s famous for inventing musical instruments like the piano and the bass. Amazing." he continued, looking at Kyra with shining eyes.

"Kyra, dear, will you take us there one day? I heard we need to pass through Emerald Bay, and once you see it, you’ll be blessed with its beauty." Steven said again, looking very excited.

Emerald Bay was known for its stunning deep-sea views and diamond roses. It was said to be so beautiful that once you saw it, you’d doubt if you’d ever seen anything more beautiful.

Kyra felt guilty for lying, but Lucas held her hand to reassure her.

"Sure." Kyra said with a forced smile.

Little did she know, her destiny would indeed lead her to Celestia, where she would meet someone very special.

By now, everyone knew Lucas was back, so when Kyra and Lucas walked out of Gina’s house, a crowd had already gathered.

"Lucas! You’re back! I’m so happy!" Partrich said with a big grin, looking at Lucas.

"I can see that." Lucas said, smiling warmly. He felt all fuzzy inside knowing everyone cared for him.

"Haha! Now that you’re back, let’s dive right back into your duties." Partrich said, and Lucas’s eyes widened in horror.

"Noooo... Ahh!" Lucas cried dramatically, pretending to collapse onto Kyra. She caught him, looking puzzled at her overacting wolf.

"What’s wrong, Cub?" Gina asked, worried as she saw Lucas collapse onto Kyra.

"No... ahh... my head hurts... Sorry, Partrich, I can’t come to my duties." Lucas said, clutching his head and sneaking a peek at Partrich through the corner of his eye.

"Okay." Partrich said, assuming Lucas must be really tired and having a headache.

"YAY, let’s go, Kyra!" Lucas suddenly jumped up, transforming into his wolf form. Kyra climbed onto his back and waved to everyone as they trotted away.

Partrich Tim: "..."

"LUCAS, you trickster! You fooled me again!" Partrich shouted, a mix of exasperation and amusement in his voice.

Laughter filled the air as everyone watched Lucas pull off another trick on Partrich. It seemed like everything was back to normal... or maybe not.
