Chapter 91: Training Time Over, Returning

Rexion had already attained Light Mastery level 1.

And previously, when all the Monsters were training for attribute energy control, Rexion had made progress, so after fighting today, Rexion’s Bloodscript Mastery reached level 2.

It was a strange attribute, and John had a full interest in it as he also had Blood affinity, and he kind of wanted to turn his simple Blood mastery into a variant—Bloodscript mastery.

This attribute was related to Blood as it applied characteristics of Blood according to levels of mastery, but it also displayed the power of creation in a unique way.

It was just as its name suggested, Bloodscript. This attribute could behave in any manner, as long as it has a catalyst and instruction.

After Rexion gained Light attributed in Silver-rank, Bloodscript automatically upgraded in a weird sense as its characteristics increased, affected by the Light attribute.

That was why Rexion’s 4th skill was overpowered—Totem of Vital Sol-Blood created an area around Rexion with a powerful healing and recovery buff. It could regenerate even limbs if Rexion had soul energy to spare.

Meanwhile, his 5th skill, Blaster Factory, could create anything, any shape, any mechanism fed to it, but it would only blast at the end. However, the blasts could vary and be shaped in a controlled manner, and they could damage as well as provide healing, according to the design when feeding the script for the skill execution.

Although the cost of the skills was high, Rexion’s efforts paid off as the skills became more efficient with training, costing less, higher control, and better results.

Rexion’s Searing Blood Armor still costs 100% of soul energy for full body, but after reaching Bloodscript Mastery level 2, right when Rexion’s Gene Potential was at 99, the skill upgraded.

Searing Blood Armor acquired a gauge that could be filled by blood whenever Rexion damaged any target, and this blood could be used instead of energy to use Searing Blood Armor.

Its combo skill also turned out to be a bit similar to the Gore Drinker combo move could be activated after using Searing Blood Armor, absorbing nearby blood and flesh to heal the self and empower the armor temporarily, depending on the absorbed blood and flesh.

All in all, Bloodscript was obviously superior to other advanced attributes among other Monsters, and he wanted to make his normal Blood mastery into Bloodscript mastery.

So, he decided to make it his focus while training monsters.

When Rexion’s Gene Potential hit 100, John immediately decided to trigger Gene Potential Burst after entering Monter Paradise.

Rexion already had one innate talent since he was Bronze-rank, but now he became a badass with two talents, as he also got his Silver-rank talent finally.

Though the Innate talent he already had gave him a temporary buff and permanent stats upon eating Monsters, it wasn’t combat-oriented, unlike this new one!

[Quirks]:

—> Bloodscript Mastery level 2

—> Light Mastery level 1

[Talents]:

—> Sanguinite Gluttony

—> Royal Ichor Scales.

"This talent’s name got a taste, alright." John wryly smiled as he saw the 2nd talent of Rexion.

"Well, let’s see what it does."

[Innate Talent—Royal Ichor Scales]: Rexion’s scales have a 20% increased physical defense and 20% increased resistance to elemental attributes. The scales gleam in the presence of blood and gore. The longer Rexion is in battle, the stronger his stats become, up to a 50% increase.

John was dumbfounded.

"How is it, Master?!" Rexion excitedly asked with his tongue out while circling around John and slamming his big tail on the ground.

"This is a freaking top-tier talent, if there’s one!"

"Let me see, John," Alfred said, curious.

"Here you go," John said with a grin as he shared the screen with Alfred.

"Damn..." Alfred muttered, clearly envious.

"Hehe, I am more powerful than you now, elder brother Alfred. Wanna fight?"

"I am more powerful still," Alfred calmly said.

"Alfred is indeed more powerful," John said with a laugh as he patted Rexion’s head. "Your talent is powerful, but Alfred’s talent is more powerful to finish off enemies fast."

Indeed. John thought Rexion would become powerful, and he actually was in a sense, but Alfred was more powerful in offense, while Rexion was more powerful as an all-rounder.

Moreover, Alfred had managed to reach level 2 Mastery in all three of his attributes, making his skills uber powerful.

"True...." Rexion pulled a long face. "I’ve seen elder brother Brother Alfred pulverizing a young Gold-rank Monster with his talent’s help. But if I can dodge his attacks, I can win!"

"You can’t dodge," Alfred said, sitting on his hind legs, expression calm.

Alfred’s Innate Talent activates when his vitality drops below 50%, creating two clones with the same stats as him until the clones are destroyed or their cores shatter.

So when Alfred makes a wombo combo with his two clones, even a young-stage Gold-rank Monster could die, especially due to various slowing, freezing, corrosion, and bleeding from his skills.

And in terms of combat ability, Alfred was more skilled in fights than any other Monster.

John let the Monsters rest for half an hour while he tried to absorb Rexion’s Bloodscript energy and control it with his Blood Mastery.

He could control it in a sense, but he couldn’t make it his own, and not everything of it was transparent to him.

’Looks like I have no other choice but to constantly be in its presence and make myself familiar with it.’

John clenched his fist, his eyes burning with determination and ambition. He would make Bloodscript his own and make sure his pistol shoots the scariest and powerful bullets!

...

After the break, John continued fighting with his Monster gang throughout the night.

He also began capturing more Silver-rank Monsters and Young-stage Gold-rank Monsters.

The next day at noon, his Gold-rank Monsters had eaten enough Gold-rank Soul orbs as they grew from Young-stage to Adult-stage.

Ophis and Pymon soared in the sky with Starry, Roby, Toby, and Coby, scouting around and joining battles as per John’s instructions.

Down below, John roamed with Alfred, Pymon, Crocky, Sony, Merc, and Cheron.

On this 4th day, Starry, Roby, Toby, and Coby also reached 100 Gene potential, and thanks to training inside Monster Paradise with attributes, all of them had reached level 1 mastery in their attributes.

Out of those four, Toby was the variant like Pymon, and after evolving, he had three attributes unlike Starry, Roby, and Coby, who had two.

- Starry | Wind x Light

- Roby | Wind x Fire

- Toby | Wind x Water x Wood

- Coby| Wind x Earth

John had evolved all of them differently when ranking them up to Silver-rank, making sure they had different second attributes and a variety of evolution paths further down the road.

After John triggered their Gene Potential Burst, their stats increased slightly, and their skills and combo moves got upgrades. In addition, Toby’s Wind Mastery reached level 2, even though the others didn’t get a level up in that area.

After spending the whole 4th day fighting only Gold-rank Monsters with his gang, training his SIlver-rank Monsters while growing his Gold-rank ones, John went to sleep at 3 a.m.

The new monsters that John captured were unstable at first, but thanks to the voice function and many other Monsters, as well as seeing the awesome facilities and places, the Monsters settled down.

After waking up, John continued. After targeting an area with Pymon and others and scouting it properly, John would enter and strategize to train his Monsters and hunt the wild monsters.

Meanwhile, he would also use Rexion’s Bloodscript energy, controlling it always and getting familiar with it. 𝓃ℴ𝓋𝓹𝓊𝓫.𝒸𝓸𝓂

John didn’t know how he would succeed, so he took this method. However, he was more eager than ever to upgrade Monster Paradise.

That way, he would be able to grow a tree of Bloodscript attribute, which would bear Bloodscript attribute fruits!

If he ate that after getting familiar with Bloodscript, he might just transform his Blood mastery into Bloodscript mastery!

So until he upgraded his Monster Paradise, John decided to follow this crude method while on his Soul Technique to also gain more proficiency in handling Blood and Metal.

The next day was the last, and John knew teacher Azelis would be here anytime, so he just continued as usual after waking up.

Taking out his gang and strutting around the areas, hunting Monsters and gathering resources if he found any, John had a blast of fun as usual, but John didn’t dare keep his Gold-rank Monsters outside today.

Azelis could arrive anytime, and with her power, she would be able to find him in this big mountain range quite easily, unless he was in that gorge deep below.

But he didn’t plan to fight and stay in some hidden places.

He summoned Crocky and others only when required and for a brief moment only to use their skills.

As the sun went straight up in the hot noon, John suddenly heard a loud blast and a roar.

"Could it be..." John looked up. "Alright, guys, time to go, I think."

Waving his hand, John sent Rexion and Alfred inside.

"Let’s go, Pymon."

Just as John settled on Pymon’s back, Azelis’s voice rang in his ears.

’Are you that much in a hurry to leave, my dear apprentice? Hmm, nice. You reached the peak of Silver-rank in stats.’

John couldn’t reply with Magic Whisper since he couldn’t see her, but as he flew up a bit above and looked around, he saw a shadow streaking past his vision a couple of kilometers away.

But then suddenly, the wind blew behind him as Pymon also turned around quickly and saw a giant black dragon with hazy black smoke and scales sparkling with a dark silver hue.

"Ready to go?" Azelis asked with a smile as she stood atop the dragon’s head.

"Yep." John grinned. "I can’t wait to show off."
