Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Resistance Is of No Benefit to You

Chapter 128 -128: Resistance Is of No Benefit to You

Li Xue, who had stayed at the rental house after sending off her child, had been waiting at home.

But no matter how long she waited, she didn’t see Tang Yu come back.

Maybe she stayed over at Ye Sihan’s place again?

Could Ye Sihan harm her?

Seeing that it was almost noon, Li Xue took out her phone, pulled up a number, and made a call, “Hello, I’m Li Xue, Tang Yu’s friend. Can we meet?”

The number belonged to Ye Yuli, which she had secretly taken from Tang Yu’s phone.

Half an hour later, Li Xue got into Ye Yuli’s car and left the neighborhood.

They headed to a high-end restaurant.

Li Xue, a makeup artist for celebrities, had been in the entertainment industry for quite a few years, so she was composed no matter the setting.

“Are you really willing to take Tang Yu out of Kyoto?” After ordering their meal, she asked directly. “Please, you must help her, get her away from that man Ye Sihan.”

“What happened?” Ye Yuli’s brow furrowed slightly.

“No, it’s just that I’m worried about Tang Yu. She said that you were willing to take her away.”

“She refused.”

“No, she really wants your help. It’s just that she has concerns, afraid she might implicate you. But I think that can be resolved. There’s another problem—she’s worried about me.”

“Ye Sihan will take out his anger if he can’t find anyone.” Ye Yuli considered this possibility.

“Yes.” Li Xue thought to herself, Ye Yuli was indeed sharp, guessing it right away.

In that case, was he qualified to stand up against Ye Sihan?

“If I’m to take her away, I will need to resolve any concerns she has following her departure,” Ye Yuli said.

“Yes,” Li Xue didn’t want to impose, but she truly hoped Ye Yuli could help Tang Yu at all costs. “I’m her best friend, and I can’t stand to see her living in constant fear every day. At Ye Sihan’s place, she has to respond whenever called, no matter how tired she is she can’t refuse, controlled to the point where she can hardly catch her breath.”

Let’s not talk about the children for now.

No one knew about them anyway, including Ye Sihan.

So, this ‘concern’ was non-existent.

If Tang Yu can’t take that step, she would take it for her.

“As long as she agrees, I will arrange it immediately,” Ye Yuli finished speaking and asked, “Do you have any other family members?”

“Just my parents.”

“Are they willing to move?”

“They are.”

Tang Yu woke up to the same familiar ceiling and room she always knew.

The shadow at the edge of the bed made her eyes shrink back, and she turned her face to meet Ye Sihan’s deep, dangerous dark eyes, her breathing becoming unsteady.

She knew she had fainted, but she didn’t know when Ye Sihan had returned to Ye Mansion.

The atmosphere in the room was oppressively tense.

Tang Yu propped herself up to sit, her expression powerless.

“Putting on a show for me?” Ye Sihan’s voice was deep and cold.

“No,” Tang Yu said with a downturned face, “I was just thinking, maybe that road is truly hard to leave, you don’t have to worry about me. Once I wake up on my own, I’ll be fine… Hmm!”

Before she could finish speaking, her jaw was seized by a strong hand and lifted upwards, her graceful neckline taut as a straight line, forcing her to face Ye Sihan’s cold and threatening visage.

“Let me remind you, resisting won’t do you any good.”

“I’ve given you everything you want, what more are you dissatisfied with?” Tang Yu’s eyes weakly met his. “After all, that’s all there is to our relationship, isn’t it?”

Ye Sihan’s dark eyes turned fierce, his emotions stirring restlessly once more, seeming unable to contain himself.

The fingers clutching Tang Yu’s jaw tensed uncontrollably.

Tang Yu felt as though her jaw would be crushed, and she couldn’t help but whimper in pain.

Ye Sihan’s breath deepened, he released her jaw and said, “Indeed, that’s how it is. Just be a good toy for me. Don’t let today’s events happen again.”

After the dangerously issued warning, he turned and left the room.

Ye Sihan went downstairs and entered his study.

Agitatedly, he tore open the collar of his ascetic shirt, the buttons giving way to a terribly gloomy expression.

And then someone had the audacity to knock on the door, prompting Ye Sihan to growl fiercely, “Get lost!”

What was Tang Yu trying to do? Discovering she couldn’t warm his heart, was she simply giving up?

Or did she think that by warming his heart, he would let her go? Dream on!

At noon, Tang Yu had her meal in her room and didn’t see Ye Sihan until she left in the afternoon.

This time, she didn’t refuse but obediently got into the car and left.

Ye Sihan was on the second-floor terrace, overlooking everything from above.

He really should have imprisoned her in the Ye Mansion, with no possibility of escape.

Upon arriving back at the rental, Tang Yu had barely entered when Li Xue approached her, “You’re back? Did you come from Ye Sihan’s?”

If Tang Yu had gone to the film set or not was a question Li Xue could easily discern the answer to.

“Mhm,” Tang Yu replied, collapsing powerlessly onto the sofa.

The reason she had fainted was purely due to physical exhaustion.

Ye Sihan was an insatiable madman!

Seeing the fatigue written all over her face, Li Xue guessed what might have happened the night before.

Li Xue moved to sit beside her, “Why don’t you give Ye Yuli a call?”

After hesitating, Tang Yu shook her head, “Let’s talk about it later.”

“Ye Yuli asked you to call him once you got back.”

Tang Yu was puzzled, “He was looking for me?”

Li Xue didn’t respond but instead took the phone out of Tang Yu’s purse and placed it in her hand, “I sought out Ye Yuli myself, don’t worry, I didn’t say a word about the child. Call him!” Then, she went back to her room.

Tang Yu was stunned.

Li Xue sought out Ye Yuli? It couldn’t be… because of her, could it?

What on earth did they talk about?

Tang Yu dialed Ye Yuli’s number.

Only then did she learn why Li Xue had met with Ye Yuli.

They had even planned how to get her out.

While Ye Yuli spoke, Tang Yu listened silently.

“Xiaoyu?” Ye Yuli called out to her.

Tang Yu was somewhat dazed, “Can I really leave Kyoto? Aren’t you afraid he will cause trouble for you?”

“Once we leave, he won’t know where to find us. Let’s just get out of here first,” Ye Yuli said.

Tang Yu’s heart trembled as making such a decision seemed to exhaust her last bit of strength, “…Okay, I’ll go with you.”

“We leave tonight.”

“Tonight? So soon?” Tang Yu asked.

“Naturally, the sooner the better. As soon as you decide to leave, Li Xue can start moving first.”

“Thank you.” Tang Yu could only rely on Ye Yuli now.

“I owe it to you.”

Tang Yu thought, because of the ‘betrayal’ and getting drunk in a bar one night, that incident led to everything that followed.

It could be said that Ye Yuli owed her after all…

After hanging up, Tang Yu helped Li Xue pack her bags, including those for the four little ones.

They only took the most basic necessities.

Once they finished packing, Tang Yu hugged Li Xue, choking back tears, “Sister Xue, thank you, I’m sorry…”

“It’s okay, think of it as taking my parents on a trip. Did you know? They’ve never traveled before,” Li Xue consoled her. “And I haven’t lost anything from this.”

Tang Yu felt that, although Li Xue made it sound simple, not everyone would be willing to help her in this way.

Li Xue, with one large and one small suitcase in tow, went to the back gate of the compound and hailed a ride before taking off.
