Chapter 53: Chapter 53: No Escape Even with Wings

Chapter 53 -53: No Escape Even with Wings

Ye Sihan’s black eyes, carrying the gaze of a wild beast in the night, fiercely stared at the prey beneath him, as if he could tear her to shreds the next second.

His gaze shifted to the side.

Tang Yu’s pajama neckline was somewhat loose, exposing the tender skin beneath.

On her shoulder, there was a scar, a mark he had left on that stormy and thunderous night.

Tang Yu breathed rapidly, “The room isn’t soundproof, and today is my grandfather’s memorial day, we can’t… Ah!” A dull pain came from her shoulder.

Fearing that the neighbors would hear, she suppressed her cries in her throat.

Ye Sihan bit into the flesh of her shoulder like a wild animal, gnawing at it, a tingling pain spread, causing her body to shiver.

She just wanted to remind him that today was Zhao Xing’s memorial day, and they couldn’t do that kind of thing.

After a prolonged pain, he let go, and Ye Sihan lay on top of her, motionless.

Tang Yu carefully looked to the side, Ye Sihan’s head resting on her shoulder, eyes closed.

Was he asleep?

She couldn’t help but look at her shoulder, throbbing with pain.

Thankfully, the skin hadn’t broken, only the existing scar was bitten until blood markings appeared.

Even with only half of Ye Sihan’s weight on the bed, it still made Tang Yu uncomfortable.

But she didn’t dare move Ye Sihan, for if she woke him, she would undoubtedly be the one to suffer.

Thus, Tang Yu lay there, pinned beneath him.

Could she fall asleep?

The first part of the night, definitely not, but as the night wore on and sleepiness overwhelmed her, she did fall asleep.

Before sleeping, she thought, hopefully, she wouldn’t be crippled the next day.

As the soft morning light spread, Ye Sihan awoke, realizing he was lying on top of someone.

He rose slightly, his black eyes sharply and intensely staring at the person sleeping beneath him, who, because of the uncomfortable sleep, had a childishly furrowed brow.

He actually fell asleep like that? He had thought that last night would be tough, the first time being so…

Ye Sihan’s expression was cold and taut, and he left in a not so good mood.

When Tang Yu opened her eyes, her mind was fuzzy at first, then remembering something, she immediately looked over herself.

Ye Sihan was gone, his figure was nowhere in the bed or room.

Tang Yu sat up, her body showing no signs of paralysis.

Does that mean Ye Sihan left early?

She hadn’t felt a thing.

Stepping out of her room, she opened the front door, the Rolls-Royce parked outside the night before was gone.

Ye Sihan had really left.

Tang Yu exhaled a sigh of relief, a close call indeed.

Remembering the unusual silence in the house, Tang Yu immediately went to check the adjacent room.

With a bang, followed by Li Xue’s startled scream—she had been listening at the door and was hit by it.

“Sister Xue, are you alright?” Tang Yu was alarmed.

“I’m fine, it wasn’t that strong, and definitely quieter than last night’s noise,” Li Xue humorously said.

“He’s gone,” Tang Yu said.

“That’s good, it was scary. How was my acting?”

“Very good,” Tang Yu couldn’t help but laugh.

The four little ones in the bed gradually woke up, calling for mommy even before their eyes were fully open.

Tang Yu walked over with a smile, kissing their soft, chubby cheeks, “Time to get up, the sun will tan your little bottoms~”

“No… no tanning,” Haohao mumbled.

Tang Yu couldn’t help but laugh, then turned to ask Li Xue, “Did they wake up last night?”

“Junjun seemed to stir, but I patted her back and she went back to sleep,” Li Xue said.

The four little ones chased each other playing in the yard, while Li Xue and Tang Yu were inside making breakfast.

Li Xue asked, “When did Ye Sihan leave?”

“I don’t know, he was gone when I woke up,” Tang Yu said.

His harrowing appearance had cast a shadow on their hearts.

“Ye Sihan was able to find even this place, his power is truly terrifying,” Li Xue said.

Tang Yu thought, yes, she had assumed everything was fail-safe!

But she always felt something was strange.

How could someone visiting this rural place for the first time find it so easily? And she hadn’t given a specific address.

How did Ye Sihan manage to find this place?

It wasn’t right to check the taxi she rented when she came either, because if they had checked, how could they have missed that, besides her and Li Xue, there were also four children?

Hiring someone to follow her was even more impossible.

After breakfast, she stayed around for a while in the morning before heading back.

She took a coach back; it was over three hours before they reached the city.

When she and Li Xue returned to their rented apartment, they walked separately, very cautiously. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂

The next day, the director called Tang Yu to start filming.

The scab on the scar on Tang Yu’s jaw had already fallen off, and the color wasn’t so dark anymore; she could just cover it up with makeup when the time came.

At the set, she saw Luo Bingbing.

She had noticed that a turn for the better had occurred in Luo Bingbing’s negative press over the last few days, claiming she was rehearsing with a junior assistant.

The junior assistant also came forward to recant, saying they had been mentally disturbed and wrongly accused Luo Bingbing.

The matter had been suppressed, but there was still some impact.

When Luo Bingbing saw Tang Yu, it was with a look of new grudges and old hatreds, yet the negative impact had taught her a lesson to act much more low-key than before.

She would threaten Tang Yu when just the two of them were together, “Don’t get smug for too long, just you watch.”

Tang Yu ignored her; as long as she was by Ye Sihan’s side, Luo Bingbing would continue to regard her as a thorn in her eye.

And none of this was within her control.

Every day she went to the set, she had to be extra careful whenever Luo Bingbing was around.

She was also worried Ye Sihan would look for her, because as long as he did, there would never be good news.

However, ever since she came back from the countryside, Ye Sihan hadn’t shown up again after he fell asleep on top of her that night.

Of course, it would be best if he never showed up again.

Tang Yu had originally wanted to carve out her own place in the entertainment industry; having a career and, most importantly, having money, would make many things much easier.

But after the incident in the bar, she had abandoned those ‘aspirational’ thoughts.

In Jingdu, any capital trying to show off would have to conduct themselves humbly in front of Ye Sihan.

As long as Ye Sihan kept his eye on her, she would have no chance to escape.

She deeply suspected that hiding in such a hard-to-find place in the countryside and still being found within just a few hours, would escaping to another city make any difference?

Tang Yu was utterly distraught.

Luo Bingbing had just finished a shot and was preparing to go sleep in her nanny car when she saw a familiar luxury car parked in the distance.

It seemed to be Ye Yuli’s car.

Why was his car here?

Luo Bingbing took out her phone to take a picture of the car, then sent her assistant to ask the crew members.

Tang Yu went to the makeup room to change clothes; as soon as she entered, she saw Ye Yuli sitting in front of the makeup mirror, looking at his phone. Hearing her enter, he glanced up indifferently.

“What are you doing here? Luo Bingbing’s resting room isn’t on this side.” Tang Yu didn’t want to see him.

“I kindly informed you about Zhao Xing’s death anniversary, and this is the attitude I get?” Ye Yuli put away his phone, propped his face with one hand, and looked at her. Noticing the scar on her chin, he asked, “How did you get hurt?”

“It was an accident,” Tang Yu replied perfunctorily, turning to rummage through various ancient costumes on the rack.

Thinking to herself, you can pretend you don’t see.

“Has Ye Sihan not looked for you?”

“He did, but nothing happened.”

Ye Yuli looked at her skeptically.

Tang Yu found the clothes and turned to look at him, “I’m going to change, can you go out?”

“I won’t look.”

Tang Yu was speechless, “What exactly do you want?”

“You couldn’t be hopelessly clinging to me, your ex-boyfriend, could you? Every time you see me, your reaction is quite strong,” said Ye Yuli.

Tang Yu was nearly choked by her own breath, staring at him incredulously.

Equally shocked was Luo Bingbing, eavesdropping from outside the door.

Ye Yuli was Tang Yu’s… ex-boyfriend? Is that true? Does Zhou Qinghua know about this?
