Chapter 64 -64: We’re even for your past wrongs against me.

“Of course not!” Tang Yu knew that Ye Yuli had discovered her with Ye Sihan last night and explained, “I was drugged on the set, and happened to bump into Ye Yuli. Under those circumstances, I could only beg him for help.”

“What was Ye Yuli doing on the set?”

“I’m not sure, but whether it’s related to the plot or not, I have never been in contact with him.” Tang Yu defended, her voice a whisper of dissatisfaction, “The current problem is not with me, but with the person who drugged me, right? It was Luo Bingbing who directed her assistant to drug me.”

“Evidence.”

Tang Yu choked, “I don’t have evidence, but considering the circumstances, I can’t think of anyone else but her…”

She wondered, would Ye Sihan possibly cover for someone?

Ye Sihan stood up, approached the bed, his tall figure casting a large shadow in the bedroom, enveloping Tang Yu in darkness.

He reached out, grasped her chin, and forcefully held it in place, making her look up at his oppressive face, “What do you want to do?”

“I… I don’t have the right to decide, whatever Mr. Ye does, I will accept,” Tang Yu appeared submissive but was actually full of grievance and reluctance.

Ye Sihan looked down from his height, his rough fingertips tracing her soft lips, his voice a deep murmur, “You are mine to hold, others will pay a price for meddling.”

Tang Yu felt a deep chill in that voice.

Luo Bingbing had come out to stir up chaos, and if it hadn’t been for the location-tracking feature on her phone, things might have happened beyond Ye Sihan’s control.

Ye Sihan would never allow that.

So, Luo Bingbing was very likely in for trouble.

As expected, when Tang Yu went back to the set, Luo Bingbing was absent, and even the assistant who used to hand her water was nowhere to be seen.

And even the director had been replaced!

Although Tang Yu was aware of Ye Sihan’s power and methods, the ease with which he handled the situation still startled her.

Online, all was quiet; the news had not leaked out.

Despite the changes, the shooting continued.

As for Luo Bingbing’s scenes, they were put on hold for the time being.

As she entered the makeup room, she heard other celebrities chatting, “Have you heard? Our lead actress might be replaced.”

“Are you talking about Luo Bingbing? For real?”

“Why would I lie to you?”

“But behind Luo Bingbing is the KING Group. You all saw how delighted she was when she saw the person in charge of the KING Group.”

“Exactly, who dares to cross the King of Beijing?”

“It’s not like that. I heard our show is invested in by the KING Group. I guess Luo Bingbing is probably pregnant and the big boss wants her to go back and care for the baby. What could be more important than ensuring an heir is born?”

Tang Yu, silently listening at the back, thought they sure had a talent for making up stories.

Why not become screenwriters?

With Luo Bingbing’s disappearance so quiet and without fuss, it was due to her own fault.

However, she didn’t know that Ye Sihan had invested in the show.

Her phone in her locker rang, and she took it out to see that the caller was Ye Yuli.

If it were before, she would have rejected the call outright.

After hesitating, she stepped out and answered, “Do you need something?”

“Are you at the set?”

“Yes.”

“Looks like you’re okay now.” Ye Yuli did not ask how she spent the previous night, as the drug’s effect had worn off and she was not in good shape then, implying Ye Sihan probably hadn’t done anything to her.

“Thank you.” Tang Yu awkwardly expressed her gratitude.

Even though Ye Yuli was a scumbag, credit was due where it was owed.

“Is that how you thank someone? Why not treat me to a meal?”

“I’m busy,” Tang Yu declined tactfully. How could she go to dinner with Ye Yuli! Wasn’t that asking for trouble? As if she had a death wish!

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds, then Ye Yuli asked, “I’m curious, last night, in that condition, when Ye Sihan called, why didn’t you ask for his help?”

Tang Yu pursed her lips.

Having been drugged like that, everyone saw her and Ye Sihan as a couple. It would’ve made sense to ask for his help.

But she had her own concerns, concerns Ye Yuli might now be suspecting.

“I am Yu Zhaohui’s daughter; he loathes me. Even if I sought him out, he wouldn’t help me,” Tang Yu said. After finishing, she heard a sneeze from the other side of the line and questioned, “Are you catching a cold? It’s not because of me, is it?”

“What do you think? Holding you in the sea for over an hour.”

Although Tang Yu had been drugged, she still remembered the situation very clearly.

Ye Yuli had indeed done that.

In a tone that lacked confidence, she said, “Thank you, really. But that’s as far as it goes. All your past wrongdoings to me are now even.”

There was silence on Ye Yuli’s end.

Tang Yu didn’t want to hear his response and hung up the phone directly.

One hand touched the flat area of her lower abdomen.

She needed to hurry and schedule the scar removal surgery with Meng Jilin.

Otherwise, if another accident like last night happened, could she avoid Ye Sihan? 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝙗.𝒄𝒐𝒎

Would she have such good luck again?

Tang Yu called Meng Jilin; the sooner, the better, and they arranged to have the surgery that evening.

She couldn’t leave the film set in the afternoon, or Ye Sihan would find out.

By evening, when she finished filming and went to the hospital, everything would seem natural.

Around seven o’clock, Tang Yu returned home. As soon as she opened the door, the four little treasures scrambled toward her—

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

Tang Yu squatted down and hugged their soft little bodies, smothering their chubby cheeks with kisses, savoring the sweet smell of milk.

The four tykes, tickled by the kisses, giggled with glee, their small chubby hands clinging to mommy.

Li Xue walked over and saw Tang Yu nearly swamped by the four youngsters on the floor.

The adorable scene compelled her to endlessly snap photos with her phone, even switching angles.

Just like a little fan girl.

“Stop fussing. Wait, get up…” Tang Yu was a bit overwhelmed.

She couldn’t match the energy of the four little ones.

Junjun was even perched on her back, wrapping around her neck mischievously.

Haohao was tugging at Junjun’s leg, trying to climb up as well.

Junjun didn’t come down but managed to pull Tang Yu backward.

“Wait, let mommy stand up…” From among the four little ones, Tang Yu reached out a pleading hand, saw Li Xue continually taking pictures, and thought, Sister Xue, help me up first, please!

Li Xue, having taken enough photos, finally thought to help Tang Yu up.

The four tykes tumbled off Tang Yu with a roll.

Silly Xibao sat on the ground with a dazed, endearing look.

Li Xue hastily showed Tang Yu the photos on her phone and asked, “How about it? Aren’t they adorable? I can change my wallpaper again!”

Tang Yu’s mouth twitched, and she gave a forced laugh.

Then she pulled Li Xue aside, “I’m going for scar removal surgery tonight.”

“Did you settle it with that doctor?”

“Yes, it will take about two hours or so.”

“Go ahead! If you don’t get it dealt with, you’ll always be anxious.”

Li Xue took care of the kids in the evening, and after Tang Yu spent over half an hour with them, she told the children she had to work overtime and would be back late.

The four little ones stood at the door, waving to mommy, soft and adorable.

Tang Yu left her own phone at home, taking Li Xue’s with her.

Otherwise, Ye Sihan would notice something was off if she went to the hospital.

She wore a mask to avoid being recognized by acquaintances.
