Chapter 533: Chapter 533: Overcrowded
"Let me tell you, keep your distance from that Shang Family, even if that man is your own father, we shouldn’t acknowledge him. Just by looking at his son, you can tell the whole family is no good. I saw how intent and earnest he was when he came to find us, he must have had bad intentions, wanting to get something out of you," Bai Yue, having been in business for so long, had a completely different perspective now.
Her words went straight to the point.
Bai Xiao nodded his head like a drowsy bug, his face grinning mischievously as he gave a big thumbs up.
"Big sis is mighty!"
"Cut out the nonsense, I’m telling you, the wedding you had in Capital City doesn’t count. Once you’re back home, we’re going to have another one. You’re my only sister, how can we all just miss your only wedding? Besides, has your sister prepared your dowry to easily let you get married off? I’ve long planned on throwing you a grand wedding," Bai Yue commanded sternly.
Bai Xiao shook his head as if it were a rattle-drum, the wedding in Capital City had almost skinned him alive.
If he had to go through another wedding, he’d be skinned alive once more.
He just thought he would have a meal with his elder brother and sister once he got home, sort out things simply, and let it be.
Now, seeing his big sister’s intentions, it looked like she was planning to go all out.
"Big sis, please spare me. I’ve just barely made it back; let me rest properly for a few days. I’m nearly dead from exhaustion."
This was a plea for mercy.
"You want to rest? Resting is fine. Don’t worry, I’ve already bought you an apartment. The house is ready, with complete furnishings, and it’s ready to move in anytime. Rest however you want, you can even lie in bed all day long, and I won’t say a thing. I’ll handle your wedding without you having to lift a finger," Bai Yue said, affectionately caressing her sister’s little face, the more she looked, the thinner her sister seemed.
"Sis, we are all family. We could just have a meal together, talk this over nicely, and be done with it. Please don’t make this into a big deal, I really can’t handle it. If you keep this up, be careful I might buy a train ticket tonight and sneak away tomorrow." Threatening her sister was her forte.
Bai Yue was furious with Bai Xiao, and wanted to say something more, but guests were paying their bills, so she had to go attend to them.
Bai Xiao happily went off to call her elder brother, to report that she was back.
More than an hour later, An Zhiyuan returned with a whole lot of people: Wang Yan and Wang Yan’s parents, as well as Liu Baoguo and his wife, and received news that Bai Ju and her spouse were also bringing their kids by train, arriving the day after tomorrow.
Things suddenly got lively.
Bai Yue thought to herself, it’s a good thing they bought three apartments, otherwise they really wouldn’t have had enough space.
So An Zhiyuan drove Wang Yan’s parents and Liu Baoguo with his wife and Li Chunhua to their places of stay. Luckily, their apartment was ready, with furniture, sheets, quilts, and even pots and pans, all fully equipped.
Finally, there was ample room in the three-bedroom apartment! If it wasn’t enough, that would have been a joke.
Li Chunhua felt more at ease seeing such an apartment and realized that her granddaughter was living well.
Wang Yan’s parents refused to stay, still concerned about their granddaughter.
They only realized their granddaughter wasn’t around when they didn’t see Bai Yue with her at the hotpot restaurant, and found out she had been sent to a daycare because there was no one else to take care of her.
The old lady was so distressed that tears came down.
Having no choice, An Zhiyuan had to take them to Bai Yue’s house.
