Wang Yan was sent back by Bai Yue, considering that he’d been non-stop busy these past two days, and now he was bringing back so many people, he must be exhausted from the travel. "Mom, where are Tangyuan and Dad?"
The old lady pointed toward the bedroom.
Wang Yan peeked in and burst into laughter, which earned him a fierce glare from the old man, who then waved him off dismissively.
He saw the little guy flip over in the old man’s arms and continue sleeping, while the old man tenderly adjusted his arm under the child’s neck and pulled the blanket that had slipped off Little Tangyuan back over her. That face full of affection almost made Wang Yan stare in disbelief.

You may not believe it, but your dad is no match for Tangyuan; he’s completely subdued. At first, you’d think Tangyuan was indifferent to him, staying miles away. But our Little Tangyuan is impressive, she crawled right over to sit on your dad’s legs. You have no idea, the way the two of them looked at each other, so big-eyed and curious, it was really amusing.
Then you saw Tangyuan fall asleep on your dad’s lap. I just finished cooking and asked your dad to put her down on the bed, but he wouldn’t budge. He said we should both come out to eat and that it’s dangerous for the child to possibly wake up and fall off the bed. He held onto her and wouldn’t let go; I’ve never seen him care this much about anyone in my life."
Wang Yan chuckled.
Who’d have thought that it would be Little Tangyuan who’d conquer his stern father.
Life is indeed unpredictable.
