Chapter 202: Chapter 171 Headquarters Planning (Subscription Requested!)_1

After Chu Jun and his group left, Tang Qing was drinking tea with Sun Chao in the office. He Zixin and a female employee from Sky Eye were sorting out documents nearby. Seeing Tang Qing deep in thought, they all tried to maintain silence, even flipping through contracts gently for fear of disturbing him. 𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙥𝒖𝒃.𝒄𝒐𝒎

They didn’t expect that Tang Qing’s invisible authority is so powerful, completely different from the image of being ’bullied’ by Dou Jiao in the company. Was this really a high school student? What kind of family could cultivate such calmness and decisiveness?

Tang Qing was unaware that he had unintentionally played the part of a deep thinker again.

"Manager He, our boss Tang is really rich. I’m so wise to have chosen to work in this company," the female employee whispered.

"Isn’t it obvious? Just work hard, the company won’t let you down," He Zixin glared at her and replied. Since she knew the main business of the company after she joined, she felt like she had come to the right place. Those who dare to use this business management model are all major players. Clearly, Tang Qing has great ambitions. Later, she gradually learned that Tang Qing not only has ambition but also has strength.

"Hehe, do you know what Tang Qing’s family does?" The female employee asked teasingly. Although He Zixin glared at her, she, who knew He Zixin’s character well, was not scared. In work, He Zixin is efficient and resolute, but in life, He Zixin is like their older sister. Employees in the company respect her but do not fear her.

"How would I know? Dou Jiao probably knows, but even when I asked her, she didn’t say anything." He Zixin replied somewhat grumpily. Tang Qing’s background is a mystery in Sky Eye, full of speculation. Naturally, He Zixin was curious too. But when she asked Dou Jiao, she said she was not clear, He Zixin naturally didn’t believe it, but where would she know Dou Jiao really didn’t know. Now that Dou Jiao learned information about Tang Qing’s parents from Feng Sen, she, too, was full of doubts.

"Oh, he must be the son of a big family. He is experiencing life now," the female employee guessed, tapping her chin with a carbon pen.

"Maybe, stop talking and focus on work," He Zixin said solemnly.

"Oh," the female employee responded with disappointment.

Another person who couldn’t calm down was Sun Chao. Seeing the young man in front of him casually spend millions of RMB again, he couldn’t help but feel shocked. Now he was all confused. These funds must not belong to Tang Qing’s parents, but he couldn’t figure out where it came from.

As for Tang Qing’s partner, he didn’t quite believe it. That was because when Tang Qing spent money, he didn’t seem to have any concept of budget; he just spent as he wanted, not appearing as if anyone was managing him. After thinking for a while, Sun Chao gave up; there was no point in worrying about it. As long as he knew Tang Qing was not a bad person, that would suffice. Even if he was a bad person, Sun Chao was not planning to abandon this ship. He believed in repaying kindness and was willing to do anything as long as it didn’t betray the country or the people.

"Manager He, make a note of this. The company will establish a new security department. You don’t need to recruit externally, I’ll settle all the manpower," Tang Qing lifted his head and said. When Chu Jun had his head down, he was thinking about this matter for Sky Eye. His main concern was not the number of people, but whether or not to establish a dedicated security company, aiming to provide job opportunities for people like Sun Chao.

However, he had few industries under his belt, so there was no need for that many people and places to accommodate them. But he had already put it on the agenda, and at the latest by the second half of the year, he would try to set one up, not caring whether it made profit. He would just consider it as a good deed.

"Understood, Boss Tang," He Zixin agreed. Although she was curious about why Tang Qing made such an arrangement, she didn’t ask further. She wouldn’t be able to guess the boss’ logic.

Before long, the people from the design institute arrived.

Sky Eye previously had made a directory of national-scale enterprises. As for those in Qingyan City, it was even more detailed, collecting information from companies in all walks of life, including scale, history, strength, etc. Today, it came in handy; they found a medium-strength architectural design institute after a search.

After all, it’s not exactly a skyscraper. Tang Qing never intended for Sky Eye’s headquarters to be more than five or six stories high. At the moment, there are only a handful of Sky Eye members, enough to fit into one room. But if he was going to build, he wanted to do it properly and create a facility that could accommodate over a thousand people—something they could use for over a decade. If he were only fixing up a couple of run-down buildings, he wouldn’t have needed to buy such a large plot of land.

When the design company heard about the major project, they promptly arrived at the site. That’s the advantage of choosing such a mid-sized firm: they can afford to give their clients a high level of attention. While cost was a factor, the commitment to the project is what mattered most.

After the design team arrived, Tang Qing showed them around the site, detailing the desired location and requirements for the main building. Although they were surprised by Tang Qing’s request for a massive, two-story underground basement and a ten plus meter deep ’water storage tank’, they dared not question their client’s requirements excessively. They were quick to assure him that they had no issues accommodating his ideas.

They were given free rein with the rest of the site, ensuring that it included all necessary company resources. The design had to be good, big, and comprehensive. Tang Qing specified the building heights: at least four meters for the underground space and at least five meters for the above-ground buildings. He wanted it to appear spacious and not too stifling. Other features included a small lake occupying thousands of square meters at the back of the main building, a pavilion, a basketball court, a badminton court, among others for his leisure time activities.

There wasn’t much else to add, apart from the 70% greenery coverage. Although it was somewhat wasteful to use the land in this way, it enhanced the overall aesthetic and could promote a more pleasant working environment.

After expressing all his requirements and signing the contract, Tang Qing returned to school. From that point on, everything was left to the design firm and Sky Eye. He would step in again when it was time to choose from the proposed design alternatives.

Once Tang Qing left, the design company had their hands full. They had not had much work this year, so they were delighted to have a major client. After the site survey, they worked overtime for less than a week to compile several design alternatives. Tang Qing wasn’t completely satisfied with the final outcome, but he didn’t want to struggle through another revision. Therefore, he decided to merge some aspects from several design plans, and by the second day, Tang Qing was looking at the final design blueprint.

The construction project was approved.

So, the construction of Sky Eye’s headquarters officially began. It took another week to complete all procedures, and that was with Dou Jiao’s relentless efforts. Otherwise, it would have taken even longer for the construction to start.

When the construction permit was finally issued, high-intensity construction began. At this point, equipment and building materials had already arrived on-site and site clearance was complete. Although it is common practice to start work even before the permit is issued, Tang Qing chose not to do so. He didn’t mind the few days’ delay.

Chu Jun’s construction company was in charge of the building process. The nearly 28 million RMB contract was his lifeline—the entire project, despite being low-rise, covered a vast area, including two underground floors. This resulted in a staggering volume of earthwork and a high quality requirement. Especially for the basement walls and the floor thickness, which were double the usual standard.

With fervor, Chu Jun oversaw the construction daily. The project was pleasant for him, as he did not need to entertain developers constantly or worry about clients not paying. Tang Qing paid strictly according to the contract terms, with very little upfront capital needed.

The project was scheduled to last over two months. Simply excavating earth up to a depth of eight meters, laying the foundation, and digging a deep pit would take over half a month. And this only after working around the clock in shifts.

Constructing the main body of the building required over forty days, considering the six-day construction period per floor. Two basement-level floors and five above-ground floors later, it would still take nearly three months for Sky Eye to move in—even that is if construction and decoration happened simultaneously.

However, Tang Qing couldn’t wait that long. He decided that as soon as the basement was roofed, he would place his servers there and cover them with a concrete lid. The location would be monitored day and night. As long as no heavy machinery was used, it would be hard for anyone to tamper with the servers out of curiosity.

The first level of the basement would be used as parking, while the second one would function as a storage space for physical records and could be used as a teleportation node area. The two floors would not be interconnected and could only be accessed via a specific entrance or an elevator. Since the security was taken care of by robots, there was no worry about anyone finding out.
