After finishing lunch.
They took a short rest.
After a meal, they drank some tea and watched an episode of a TV show. A few of the girls then went to exercise in the gym. Lin Jiaxue remembered her goal - she needed to work out more or her body wouldn’t keep up.
With Li Kai there, it wouldn’t be appropriate for Lin Jiaxue to take Wang Yan and others swimming, so they all went to workout instead. Li Kai, being a big guy, obviously wouldn’t join in the fun. He just watched TV with Tang Qing on the first floor.
"Old Tang, this is rather boring. Is there anything fun in this villa complex?" asked Li Kai, who’s not the type to sit still. Tang Qing could silently watch television without getting bored, since his mind was busy at work.
But Li Kai didn’t have so many pressing matters to concern him.
Li Kai’s question reminded Tang Qing that there was indeed a comprehensive club in the villa complex. Back then, Huang Qi and his team wanted to create a high-end enclosed neighborhood, where they built a large club with various entertainment facilities.
After all, this villa area isn’t located at the core of Pudong New District in Shanghai, but on the outskirts. This area was still farmland not long ago. It would probably take another five or six years for urban development to reach this area and turn it into an important business district.
To create harmonious living environment, they launched this club.
According to the handbook distributed to each homeowner by the property management company, it has all sorts of amenities: tea rooms, Chinese and Western restaurants, basketball courts, movie theaters, KTV, bowling, all sorts of things. Huang Qi had prepared a whole set of facilities, very comprehensive.
But Tang Qing had never visited this club.
After all, he was perfectly happy at home with Lin Jiaxue. Why would he go play around? The food there is not delicious, and the games not fun. As for expanding his circle of contacts, it doesn’t seem necessary either.
Tang Qing suddenly realized he had become a homebody.

Tang Qing walked in and asked, "Jiaxue, we are going to check out the club in the villa district, do you want to come?"
"I think I’ll pass. What about you girls?" Lin Jiaxue said hesitantly. What’s so fun about the club? They were watching videos attentively. She knew there was a club in the villa district with no shady businesses happening, so she didn’t worry about it.
"I won’t go either. We are learning how to work out. The teacher in the video is so good, explaining things in such an easy-to-understand way. I must take good notes," Wang Yan followed Lin Jiaxue’s lead.
She had made up her mind to befriend Lin Jiaxue so that she could visit her more often in the future.
Tang Qing glanced at the top left corner of the screen and saw the words: Feng Xiong. He knew instantly, gave a faint smile, turned around and left, wondering if he should try some of these massage techniques that could achieve such effects.
They tidied up a bit.
Tang Qing and Li Kai left the villa, bringing their homeowner’s card with them. The club wasn’t just open to anyone. It was just a short walk away, so the two of them walked.
The sun shone brightly.
The weather was pleasant.
It’s a beautiful day.
"Old Tang, when do you think I’ll be able to afford a villa like this?" Looking around at the surrounding villas, Li Kai remarked. The greening work in the villa area was excellent, with small bridges over flowing streams and beautiful flowers. Cruising around were nothing but luxury cars.
Looking at a roaring BMW sports car rushing past, Li Kai yearned to test drive it. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a driver’s license, and besides, Tang Qing didn’t like sports cars; he only had sedans and SUVs.
"Keep doing business with your dad well, and everything will come. If you prove capable, I can invest in your startup. But right now, you lack both the ability and experience," Tang Qing shook his head and said, his hands full of countless money-making projects, none of which were suitable for Li Kai.
When it comes to friends, a little bit of money can be mixed in, but don’t go too deep giving away things. Helping out too much will eventually make everyone uncomfortable. If Li Kai is really capable and starts his own business, that would be a different story.
"I know, I’ve been looking into it lately. I’m going to learn from my father when the time comes, maybe help out in the company during vacations. When I graduate, if things work out, I’ll ask my dad to invest," Li Kai said seriously.
Unless absolutely necessary, Li Kai wouldn’t ask Tang Qing for investment. He could take advantage of Tang Qing’s hospitality in small ways, like mooching off meals at the villa, but borrowing money, especially a lot of money, was a different matter. His family already owed Tang Qing enough.
"Well, as long as you think you can handle it, can manage a company and take responsibility for the livelihood of its employees, then there’s no problem, your dad will support you too," smiled Tang Qing.
"Yes, I will work hard," said Li Kai firmly.
Before long, the two arrived at a large building.
Various signs were affixed to the outer wall of the building, indicating different establishments: restaurants, arcades, and more. Inside, there were numerous personal trainers for various physical activities like fitness, yoga, Taekwondo, each with only five or six students. But the tuition was exorbitantly expensive.
But where was this?
A villa district.
All of them are tycoons, they can pamper their child and even spoil them. They don’t lack money and some even have one-on-one tutoring in languages, arts, schoolwork, etiquette and so on. Quite diverse indeed.
They enter the reception hall.
A man in his twenties who works as a staff member approached them immediately.
"Good afternoon, sirs, how may I help you?"
"It’s our first time here, just looking around. Could you show us around?" Tang Qing looked around the hall. It was quiet as there were few people. On one side of the hall was a café, where two couples were flirtatiously talking.
"Hello, for first-time property owners, we provide a free introductory service. Please show your homeowner card." The male staff member respectfully said.
"Here you go."
Tang Qing handed his homeowner card over.
Looking at the gold-pressed homeowner card, the staff member became even more respectful. The big number three on it indicated that Tang Qing was the owner of Villa Number Three, which was the largest villa in the area. Word had it that it was designed specifically by the developer, who was quite influential as one of the real estate shareholders.
Most importantly, he was rich.
The villa was now of extremely high value, but this was his first time seeing the owner, which surprised him.
"So, you are the owner of villa number three, nice to meet you. Please come this way. Let me show you around." The man bowed slightly and gave what he thought was his most respectful smile.
A feeling of disappointment welled up within Li Kai, mumbling to himself, "Why isn’t it a beauty?"
"Thank you." Tang Qing smiled politely.
"My pleasure."
After that, Tang Qing and Li Kai, led by staff, toured the entire entertainment center. After seeing all the entertainment facilities, Tang Qing decided he would never set foot in this place again.
It wasn’t because the place wasn’t nice, but rather it was boring.
For others, this place might seem fully equipped. They had everything except football. It’s a good place for leisure. The men were handsome, the women beautiful, which made this place attract to the average tycoon.
But who was Tang Qing?
If he wanted to have fun, would he need to come here? Isn’t it better to have fun at home? Swimming, fitness equipment, four-person cinema, swimming pool, and the vast world of command rooms. Who would be bored enough to come here to play except for those who are brainless?

"Mr. Tang, is there anything that we haven’t done to your satisfaction? We’ll correct it immediately." The staff asked nervously.
Tang Qing shook his head and chuckled, "I wouldn’t say I am not satisfied. Everything is quite good here. It’s just that...everything I can play here... I seem to have at home."
" "..." The staff didn’t know how to respond.
Indeed, across the entire villa district, the swimming pool at Villa Three was the largest. The backyard was a substantial open activity area. He didn’t know about the facilities in Tang Qing’s villa, but it was clear that this place didn’t appeal to Tang Qing.
He was frustrated.
