Chapter 700: Chapter 604: You Want to Kick Back? (Please subscribe!)_1
The second day.
It was not yet dawn.
Lin Jiaxue, who still wasn’t accustomed to sleeping on a strange bed, slowly woke in Tang Qing’s arms. However, just two seconds later, she knew that Tang Qing was up to no good again. As Tang Qing’s future wife, she had no choice but to cooperate as best she could.
About half an hour later.
Lin Jiaxue had spent one-third of the energy she had recovered overnight. Luckily, she had awoken early. The sky was only just beginning to light up. Otherwise, it would have been awkward if Chai Ren and the others had knocked on the door halfway through.
"Tangtang, how do you always know when I’m awake?" Lin Jiaxue asked in a whisper.
"Hehe, do you want to do it again?"
Tang Qing responded with a big grin, avoiding the question.
"Let’s not, what if they knock on the door in a bit?" Lin Jiaxue softly said, her clear, pond-like eyes fixed on Tang Qing.
"All right then."
Tang Qing agreed, thinking that made sense. The two of them just lay there, holding each other, taking in the sound of each other’s breathing.
Twenty minutes later.
The morning sunlight shone into the room, even somewhat blinding. Given the weather, they could have fun today. They were lucky because the weather forecast predicted three consecutive days of rain in Hawaii.
After finishing a not particularly delicious breakfast, the group set off on their adventure.
Under the guidance of their part-time tour guide, Mu Jian, they got a real sense of the local Hawaiian culture - the beach, diving, yachting, surfing, dance performances, sunbathing. As they were departing that evening, many activities had to be quickly tried due to time constraints.
After a full day of excitement.
They returned to the hotel.
"What should we eat for dinner?"
Chai Ren posed the age-old conundrum.
"There’s cuisine from all over the world here. Japanese cuisine is most common because we get the most tourists from Japan here, which also has the highest percentage of Asians. Then there’s Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea..." Chai Ren blathered on about the demographic makeup in the area.
"Alright, alright... Pretend I didn’t just ask. Let’s have Western food, and don’t give us any recommendations. Just take us there. I hate having to choose." Chai Ren was already overwhelmed by Mu Jian’s explanation.
All he wanted was to have a meal, not a lecture.
The women laughed at Chai Ren’s bitter look. Tang Qing just smiled quietly. With these two around, the journey would never be dull.
About ten minutes later.
With Mu Jian leading the way, they arrived at a well-known local Western restaurant. If it weren’t for Mu Jian’s high-level membership card to this chain Western restaurant, they would not accept walk-in customers without reservations.
"This Western restaurant is very good, it is very famous all over the United States, the head chef is from Australia..." Mu Jian can’t stop talking about how famous this restaurant is.
He rattled off the history of this Western restaurant like a knowledgeable collector.
Chai Ren was about to lose his mind, while Tang Qing listened with apparent interest. After all, expressions were free, and Mu Jian had taken care of all their meals and accommodations along the way. Indulging his ’love of teaching’ was the least they could do.
But, Tang Qing was wondering if the food would live up to Mu Jian’s hype.
Tang Qing was just pretending, but Lin Jiaxue was listening attentively, wanting to increase her knowledge. She believed that as Tang Qing’s wife, she would inevitably come into contact with all kinds of high-end people and needed to be familiar with things like this.
With these two ’interested’ listeners present, Mu Jian became even more enthusiastic, speaking animatedly.
Just then.
"HELLO."
A familiar voice sounded behind Tang Qing.
Tang Qing immediately recognized it as the voice of the unfortunate man he’d kicked earlier—the white-robed man. As he was thinking about this, Tang Qing couldn’t help but smile. He found it amusing that he had been ’retaliated against’ for not giving a beggar money. His encounter with this ’legendary’ Saudi prince was quite something.
Seeing the white robe.
Mu Jian immediately shut his mouth, feeling a bit nervous. He was not afraid of the white robe causing trouble, but was wary of the power behind him. Just like when he had met the President of the United States. There was no intent to harm him, but he had to respect the power of the office.
The close relationship between these Saudi tycoons and the political circles in the United States made them a group of people not to mess with.
Chai Ren and the others immediately stood up.
Standing up to greet the guest is a universally observed courtesy.
Tang Qing also stood up, looking at the twenty-something white-robed figure. He had to admit that the royal genes were indeed different; Abdul Ayman was indeed handsome, but of course only from the perspective of Arab facial features.
Compared to him, there was still a bit of a gap, though.
"Hello." Tang Qing nodded and smiled.
He could speak English too.
"Hello, my name is Ayman. I apologize again for today’s incident. My people were just too worried about my safety." Ayman said politely. He hadn’t expected to run into Tang Qing again.
The fact that they had now crossed paths was a sign of destiny, and he couldn’t just ignore it.
Thinking about that kick.
The memory was vivid. His father had never kicked him from childhood to adulthood, but this kick, he felt he would remember for a lifetime.
"It’s okay." What else could Tang Qing say?
Everyone thought Ayman would just wave a greeting and leave, but Ayman suddenly suggested, "Why don’t we all sit at one table?"
Everyone was a bit stunned.
Tang Qing was no exception. Was this kind of thing possible?
Ayman quickly explained, "I had a college classmate who’s Huaxia. I have heard about quite a bit of your culture. If this is inconvenient, I apologize."
"Not at all, let’s sit together." Tang Qing had no choice but to agree. He couldn’t really turn someone away. Getting to know a Saudi prince couldn’t be a bad thing.
Mu Jian gestured with his eyes, and the waiter quickly added a chair. Although their conversation was a bit loud, he couldn’t say much about it. There had to be some rules, and as long as the surrounding customers didn’t complain, they treated it as if they didn’t hear it.
After sitting down.
Tang Qing introduced everyone, but didn’t say much, all were abbreviated, afraid Ayman might not remember.
"Do you know, from childhood to adulthood, no one has ever kicked me as hard as you did yesterday, it was really... really..." Ayman couldn’t forget that kick, as soon as they became acquainted, he couldn’t help but mention it.
But Ayman couldn’t come up with an adjective to describe it for a while. Fresh? No good. Stimulating? Eh, not suitable either... He was really torn... It was all due to his limited vocabulary, he needed to go back and memorize words.
At this time.
"Fancy another kick?" Tang Qing blurted out a sentence. Seeing the other party at a loss for words, he too felt helpless for Ayman, hence he made the joke.
Once this sentence was out.
The table fell silent.
Tang Qing was taken aback. What’s the matter? He couldn’t make a little joke?
But Ayman said excitedly, "I know, I know, this is your Huaxia humor, I get it, you don’t really want to kick me, do you, Tang?"
"..."
Tang Qing was speechless. This cross-cultural communication really does have its own barriers. Your humor is incomprehensible to others, and you can hardly understand the humor of others. He suddenly realized that Ayman had a rather funny character. 𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝙤𝒎
At this point.
The dishes they ordered came.
"Let’s eat."
After Tang Qing said this, he bit off half a piece of steak in one bite, not caring if it was hot or not. He always ate so late at home. Eating slowly and tastefully was not his style. It was going to take forever to get full that way.
Chai Ren, Mu Jian and the others already knew about Tang Qing’s appetite and the way he ate, and didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. This actually had something to do with his status. The more capable one is, the more leniency people awarded them with.
Ayman also watched with great appetite, but unfortunately, his habits did not allow him to eat like this.
"Tang, how did you feel when you kicked me yesterday? I’ve never kicked anyone." Ayman’s question almost choked Tang Qing, so he quickly drank a glass of juice to catch his breath. It felt like looking at an alien species.
"You’ve never kicked anyone?" Tang Qing asked incredulously.
"Yeah, my father said that it’s impolite behavior." Ayman’s expression was somewhat downcast.
"So do you swear at people?" Tang Qing asked curiously.
"A few sentences." Ayman admitted.
"I see, you want to kick back, don’t you?" Tang Qing teased.
"No, I was just asking." Ayman quickly waved his hands and said.
"Really?"
"Sure, I really don’t want to kick you, just curious." Ayman stated seriously.
"..."
This earnest statement.
Almost made Tang Qing burst out laughing.
He was somewhat curious to know how Ayman had managed to survive till now.
But again, Ayman didn’t have the qualifications to compete for the throne, let alone the title of prince, and didn’t hold any positions in Saudi Arabia, plus, he was the youngest son of the family, so it wasn’t strange for him to have this kind of personality.
In a big forest, there are all kinds of birds.
With so many princes, it’s possible for any weirdo to exist.
This was getting interesting.
Others also burst into laughter at Ayman’s words. The previous tense atmosphere completely dissipated. They didn’t expect this Saudi prince to be so amusing, quite unlike the mature youth they thought him to be.
Looking at Chai Ren and the others laughing merrily.
An unknowing Ayman joined in the laughter as well, as long as he was laughing with everyone he felt he was doing the right thing.
