Si Chen pinched his brows, saying, "Boyi will take care of her when he arrives. You don’t need to visit. She brought this on herself."
Just like before, Si Chen’s tone was indifferent whenever Lin Fengying was mentioned. It was as though he didn’t even want to bring her up at all.
Tong Yao could tell, so she changed the topic. As they were about to hang up, she said, "Let me get Dad to talk to you! He’s overjoyed to know you called, he’s been longing to chat with you."

After Tong Yao called out, Tong Yaohui immediately walked out of the room. Wen Yun was right behind him, chiding him for not slowing down despite his age.
Tong Yaohui chatted with Si Chen for over ten minutes and seemed to be in a better mood after hanging up. He kept praising Si Chen for being capable, saying he hadn’t read him wrong and that the son-in-law he picked was really good.

Tong Yaohui did not expect such a coincidence. Surprised, he asked, "Is Cheng Jinhai hospitalized here?"
