Chapter 652: Chapter 652: Is the child in Yu Shiya’s hands?
Although Tong Yao knew that her father would surely find a way to find the child, her heart could not rest until she saw the child.
Wen Yun felt sorry for Tong Yao. Except for when the child was hungry and needed to be fed, she did all the chores such as changing diapers and holding the child, asking Tong Yao not to exert herself.
Sister Zheng came back from shopping and made a pot of bone soup. Tong Yao only drank a small bowl of soup before she lost her appetite.
Seeing Tong Yao only drink a small bowl and then stop, Sister Zheng asked, "Is the soup not to your taste? If you want to drink other soups, I can go shopping and make it for you."
Tong Yao shook her head gently, "Sister Zheng, there’s no need to trouble yourself. I’m just worried about the child so I don’t have an appetite."
Hearing this, Wen Yun sighed. She had said many comforting words but she also understood that nothing she could say would make a difference until the child was found.
It seemed as if Sister Zheng had just remembered something. She slapped her forehead and blamed herself, "Look at me, I completely forgot something important. Before you came back, I received a call from Mr. Si. He now knows about Miss Tong’s childbirth, but he doesn’t know about the little girl yet. I guess Mr. Si will be back in a few days."
Hearing this, Tong Yao was elated. To tell the truth, she really wanted Si Chen to be by her side at this moment. But when she thought about the fact that the child had not been found yet, she began to worry again.
"If Ah Chen finds out the child has gone missing, he will definitely be very worried."
Wen Yun comforted her, "Yaoyao, don’t think too much. When Xiaochen comes back, the child is sure to be found."
Tong Yao nodded, just about to say something when the phone in the living room rang. Sister Zheng hurriedly ran out to answer it, and Tong Yao heard her continually saying in the living room, "Okay, okay, I’ll go tell Miss Tong right away."
From Sister Zheng’s tone, Tong Yao could tell that it was good news. Her mood immediately lifted, "Mom, the child must have been found. It should be dad’s call."
Wen Yun guessed the same, she too was uncontrollable excited. She was about to rush out to answer the phone, but Sister Zheng had already hung up and came in, "Miss Tong, good news, there’s good news. The child has been found. Since the child is still little and had been in turmoil on the road all day, she is still under observation in the hospital. But the doctor said there’s no big problem and she should be able to be discharged after a day’s observation. They’re all in the hospital accompanying the child."
Hearing this, Tong Yao could barely hold back her tears, so close to crying. Wen Yun was also teary-eyed, nodding and smiling, "It’s good that they found her. This child has experienced so much since birth, she will surely be blessed in the future."
Tong Yao also nodded along, excited by the thought of being able to see her daughter the next day.
Feeling better, her appetite returned, "Sister Zheng, could you please serve me another bowl of bone soup."
"Sure, wait a moment, I will serve it right away."
Sister Zheng also felt happier. She knew goodness is rewarded, and the Tong family are all kind-hearted people. Heaven will surely look after them.
Thinking that Si Boyi was still worrying about the child, Tong Yao hastened to tell Wen Yun, "Mom, can you give Boyi a call and tell him about the child being found so they won’t worry."
Wen Yun agreed and hurried off to make the call. Zhang Lijuan and Si Boyi were now both in confinement and injured, she could not let them worry anymore.
Ever since the child went missing, Tong Yao hadn’t been able to sleep peacefully. Now that she was sure the child was safe, she relaxed and fell asleep not long after finishing the soup.
Not long after she fell asleep, a call came from Guo Jinnian in E Country. Upon hearing that Tong Yao had given birth to twins, she was overjoyed. She crowed she’d come back to join the full moon wine ceremony and would bring toys back for the child from E Country, happier than if she’d won the lottery.
Tong Yao was awoken by the crying of the child. She opened her eyes to see Wen Yun standing by the bed holding the baby. Seeing that she was awake, Wen Yun began worrying about her daughter again.
"Yaoyao, why don’t we let the child drink formula milk? If both children were to drink breast milk, you wouldn’t be able to rest properly. If we switched to formula, I could take the baby to my room."
Tong Yao shook her head firmly, "Mom, I’d rather breastfeed them! I can drink some soup to recover later."
There is enough milk now for both children. She can consider feeding them formula if there’s not enough in future. After all, breast milk is better than formula.
While Wen Yun felt sorry for Tong Yao, seeing her determination, she respected Tong Yao’s choice. She knew that breast milk was better, but she just felt bad for her daughter. 𝓃𝓸𝓋𝓅𝓊𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂
In the afternoon, Guo Miaomiao and Deng Wenwen came back from the hospital. Having learned from Tong Yaohui that Tong Yao was already back in Kyoto, they came to visit her bringing pork ribs and an old hen. Seeing Tong Yao lying in bed with a towel on her head, looking a bit weak, they were distressed.
Especially Deng Wenwen. She had known Tong Yao for a long time, and it was her first time seeing Tong Yao in such a weakened state, which made her feel terrible.
"Sister Yaoyao, you need to eat more to recover. Look how thin you’ve become."
Tong Yao was already thin. During her pregnancy, she didn’t gain any weight apart from her stomach. Now, due to the stress and running around, she had lost even more weight. If Si Chen saw her now, he would surely be distressed.
Curious about what exactly happened last night, Tong Yao chatted casually with Deng Wenwen for a while before getting to the main point.
"Wenwen, was the child in Yu Shiya’s hands?"
Deng Wenwen shook her head in confusion, "Who is Yu Shiya? The woman who took the child is not called Yu Shiya, her name is Cheng Yu. When she came out of the railway station with the child, police approached her. After asking her name, they took her away. Miaomiao and I followed the child to the hospital where we met Uncle Tong Yaohui and Brother Hongwei."
Guo Miaomiao nodded in agreement, "Yes, it was Cheng Yu alone with the child. We did not see anyone else."
A trace of confusion flashed in Tong Yao’s eyes. Yu Shiya had clearly taken the train to Kyoto with Cheng Yu, so why was only Cheng Yu seen and not Yu Shiya?
Seeing the confused looks on Deng Wenwen and Guo Miaomiao’s faces, she explained, "Yu Shiya is Cheng Yu’s daughter. They took the train to Kyoto together. I assumed they would depart together. I didn’t expect to only see Cheng Yu."
It seemed that something had happened on the way and Yu Shiya left the train early. Another possibility was that they went their separate ways after getting off the train. After all, the police’s focus was on the child. They probably didn’t pay much attention to Yu Shiya who didn’t have the child.
Deng Wenwen was angry, "This mother and daughter pair are really too wicked. They even stole a child, thank goodness they were caught. When the police arrested her, she kept asking why she was being arrested. Doesn’t she know that stealing a child is illegal?"
