Central University 14:
Post noon, Jeremy steps out of the dormitory. He wants to discuss with Instructor Jacob and Elder Derek about his wilderness entry ban.
As he leaves the place, he finds the passersby looking at him with strange gazes. The passersby are students from other departments. Their gazes are filled with spite.
Jeremy thinks that the coming days won't be peaceful. He made a condition to deter them. But he has this feeling that it won't work this time.
After pushing down the thoughts, he starts walking towards the staff building. When he gets there, he comes across other instructors who are going about their business.
Everyone's gazes pause for a few seconds upon seeing him. But they don't ask him anything. Jeremy then makes his way towards Instructor Jacob's cabin.
Soon, he arrives in front of his cabin. Then he informs him.
Creak!
The next second, the door opens. Instructor Jacob looks at him with surprise. He looks around before greeting him inside.
"Did you see the online posts?"
"They're filled with hatred against you. Someone is fueling it. I guess the senior students are using this opportunity to damage the name of the STRIKER department," Jacob says as he sits in his chair.
Jeremy sits opposite him. He can tell that recent events are affecting him.
"Instructor, don't worry about it. If they want to be the number 1 student in the first year, they can do that. I'm not interested at all," Jeremy says to him.
Jacob is stunned. But he has heard something else from Elder Derek this morning.
"I guess you don't know, but things are not that simple. Elder Derek told me that the families behind those two students are unwilling to give up."
"They want both May Lindsey and Victor Scott to defeat you fair and square in front of everyone. So that their S-Grade talents can come to the spotlight again."
"I know why you are not willing to accept the duel challenge. But these two families would find a way to force the dean," Jacob reveals the truth.
Jeremy is stunned. He had only thought about May Lindsey and Victor Scott. He didn't take their families' say into his mind.
He frowns. Is there any way to solve this? He is racking his brain. He doesn't want to expose his own strength. At the same time, he needs to convince May Lindsey and Victor Scott.
Jacob sees that Jeremy is seriously pondering, so he starts to make coffee.
A few minutes later,
While drinking coffee, a good idea comes to his mind.
He says, "Instructor, I have a plan. All of this nuisance will be stopped if the two S-Graders get convinced."
Jacob raises his eyebrows in surprise. Even he couldn't think of anything to help out, so he is interested in knowing Jeremy's plan.
"What if I kill a Tier-4 Corrupted Beast in front of May Lindsey and Victor Scott's eyes?" Jeremy utters it casually.
Pfff!
Jacob almost chokes. He can't believe what he's hearing. He looks at Jeremy Night again.
"Do you know what you are saying?"
"Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts are not ordinary beasts. They can cause destruction to the city. Don't you see the Tier-3 and Tier-4 City Guards patrolling day and night to safeguard us?"
"Even they have to be careful while dealing with them. But you are a Tier-1 Beast Tamer," Jacob says in a stern tone.
He thinks Jeremy is making fun of his own life.
Jeremy isn't surprised. He was expecting this reaction. If Instructor Jacob tried to see through his strength, then he could notice that he is a Tier-2 Beast Tamer now.
Sigh!
A sigh escapes his mouth.
He then says, "Instructor, I'm serious. If you don't believe me, I can kill Tier-4 Beasts to prove my strength."
Jacob becomes serious. He is hearing an absurd thing from a Tier-1 Beast Tamer. This is something not even possible at the top 10 zones. Even S-Grade talents can't make such a claim.
Where does Jeremy Night's confidence come from? His gaze meets Jeremy's eyes. He can see that they are firm gazes. Only absolute belief can give you that kind of confidence.
"If Jeremy is having this kind of confidence, then he must have killed a Tier-4 beast before," Jacob thinks.
Even though it's unbelievable, he decides to go along with it.
"Alright, I'll accompany you to the wilderness now. If you can kill a Tier-4 Corrupted Beast in front of my eyes, then I'll request Elder Derek and the Dean to lift the ban for you," Jacob says in a firm tone.
Jeremy is dumbfounded. This was not on his list at all. He didn't expect to hear that from him.
"Instructor, are you serious?" Jeremy asks.
"Yes, I'm serious. What are we waiting for? Let's go," saying that Jacob stands up from the chair.
Jeremy gets serious upon seeing him. Then they both leave the staff building. Soon, they reach the entrance and exit through the gate. 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓅𝓊𝓫.𝒸ℴ𝓶
Jacob uses his own flying car for the travel.
About 10 minutes later,
They reach the city gate. He parks his car before stepping out. On the other hand, Jeremy walks out of the car as well.
Then the duo goes to the city gate. The city guards recognize them again. Since he was with Instructor Jacob, they don't raise any complaints.
The duo then enters the wilderness. They don't inform the Management or City Police. They continue going deep inside the wilderness.
The Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts can be seen in the inner and core areas of the wilderness.
While going, Jeremy doesn't let down his guard. He is using his Eye Ability to observe the surroundings. Even if killers appear, he could spot them from a distance. It will help him to escape.
Jacob Henry doesn't know what he's doing. If Elder Derek knows about this, then he would definitely criticize him. But he knows that if they don't do something, then the STRIKER Department's reputation would hit rock bottom.
From next year onwards, no one would want to join their STRIKER Department. This year, they missed the talents because of the Beast Invasions and other crises.
So he is hoping that Jeremy will prove his strength.
