Dragon's breath. A skill Wei Jun had never experienced before or hadn't even heard of before. Yet the pain brought by just the graze of such a skill was massive. But if that wasn't enough...
'Kugh!' Wei Jun silently gritted his teeth as the pain in his shoulder after delivering hits to Robert's worsened. For some reason, as fast as the class effect of 'Immortal' was healing Wei Jun, with equally, or maybe even more, intensity, the pain was spreading in his shoulder and going to his heart.
Black lines formed on his shoulder as they spread near their vicinity, eager to eat away at his life, and the pain brought by that was something even Wei Jun couldn't ignore.
'Even Death Qi isn't moving for some reason.' Wei Jun murmured inwardly. It was strange. Death Qi was his only ally after the overseer, whom he could trust blindly. Sure, sometimes it would go out of his control and cause him or others around him harm, but one thing it made sure of was to never let him die.
Yet right now, he was slowly dying, or even if he wasn't dying, he was in massive pain, yet the Death Qi wasn't moving to do anything to heal him. Only his title was in effect, but even that was having a hard time trying to keep up with the burn's effect.
'There must be a reason.' Wei Jun thought inwardly as he prepared to defend against Robert's attack, who didn't seem very happy at the consecutive attacks to his body that had made him bleed a bunch.
"Kugh!" Wei Jun couldn't suppress his groans as he moved his left arm to guard himself, and a thrill of pain ran through his spine. He couldn't imagine what would have happened had he taken that attack at full and at a close range.
Boom!!!
A shockwave shook the ground as Wei Jun moved to the left, and Robert passed by him at an uncontrollable but fast speed that Wei Jun barely managed to avoid, even at his fastest reaction speed.
'Not yet.' Still, Wei Jun didn't activate all of his cards. There was a plan when he attacked the castle with his newly formed skill 'Abyss', but he never expected Robert to return so soon. Now that he was, he had to hold off on his plan.
Crack!!!
Their fists collided as soon as Wei Jun turned to dodge the attack, and Wei Jun's fists shattered under the impact. He would have loved to use swords against Robert, but he had an inkling those swords would be useless against the draconian, who was seething with anger at the moment.
Wei Jun moved to counter Robert's attacks, but his attacks were not only becoming faster, but sharper and fiercer as well, making Wei Jun resort to only defense. His earlier tempo, where he could at least fight on equal footing, was broken when Robert threw caution to the wind and only focused on attacking.
'Not yet.' Wei Jun remained on the defensive for quite some time until finally...
[Cooldown on health pill had ended]
"NOW!!!" Wei Jun yelled at the top of his lungs, and as if aware of his thoughts, his allies, now fully healed, stormed the castle and...
"Kiieeehh!!!"
Something giant and disgusting left its back and covered the entire ground with its body mass. The centipede Wei Jun had familiarized at the dungeon where the strange woman was imprisoned.
"What?!" Robert was shocked at the sudden change in tempo and moved back to protect the castle, but...
"Where the hell do you think you're going?" Wei Jun asked as he followed Robert closely, not letting him get away.
"Hmph! Do you think this changes anything?!" Robert scoffed and attacked Wei Jun, which he had expected Wei Jun to dodge, but...
Bang!!!
Contrary to his expectation, Wei Jun's fist was heavier and sturdier than before. Most of Robert's attack's force was wiped out due to his opponent's power, and the rest was negated by something else. Something different.
"What is this?" Robert asked as he tried to make sense of the scene before him, but he was only shocked to see a maniacal expression appear on Wei Jun's face, who readied a fist of his own and...
"Will of the roaring dragon!"
As soon as Robert crossed his arms before him, Wei Jun's fist landed in the middle, echoing like a dragon's fierce roar. Robert coughed up blood instantly.
[Skill 'Indomitable' has been activated]
[State 'Berserk' has been achieved]
"Let's see who lasts for these thirty minutes! You! Or me!" Wei Jun roared like a madman, but his actions were anything but like a madman. Clear, precise strikes forced Robert to go on the defensive stance.
"Kugh!! What is this?!" Robert couldn't help but groan as the force of Wei Jun's attacks overwhelmed him. All of a sudden, his attacks had become fiercer and his defense had increased by a hike. No matter how much he tried to hold back, he couldn't do much against Wei Jun. Conserving his strength wasn't an option as well.
Because...
"Kyah!!"
"Arrnnh!!"
"Save me!!!"
Wei Jun's allies were wreaking havoc on the other side. Killing the disciples of the academy who panicked and ran away. If Robert was holding back Wei Jun before, the reverse was now the factor. Now Wei Jun was holding Robert back from defending the academy.
Not to mention...
"Kieh!!!"
A giant monster that had appeared out of nowhere, one that was unaffected even after taking spells from high-ranking mages. That monster was the sole factor why Wei Jun's allies could kill without holding back, because the monster was keeping the attention of high-ranking mages on itself.
Still, no matter how many of them there were, against overwhelming numbers, it was inevitable for mages to recover themselves from the sudden attack. A fierce battle started between the powerhouses, the headmaster and Song Huan, Morial, and the other high-ranking mages. Xing Xiaomei and some of the annoying mages who could even keep her in check, and the rest of them were doing their best to keep up.
Even the monster now seemed slower than before, and it seemed like it was slowly fading away.
'So there's a limit.' Wei Jun thought as he delivered another jab to Robert's bloodied face, who was now seriously wounded after taking so many attacks from Wei Jun, and not to mention, his attacks were leaving no damage on Wei Jun's body.
'But there's no time.' Wei Jun thought inwardly. Already ten minutes had passed, and only twenty minutes were left on the skill, and from the looks of it, Robert wasn't finished yet. There was something, something that was giving Wei Jun goosebumps, but his insufficient knowledge of the dragon race was getting in his way.
"I'll admit it." Wei Jun suddenly came to a stop and jumped back quite a distance as if his body had moved on its own. He didn't know why, but all of his instincts were screaming at him to move back, step away from the being that was half human and half monster before him.
Wei Jun wanted to move, end this before it got anywhere before this current state but no matter how hard he tried, his body just wouldn't move.
"I... was once a supreme being. I yearned to live long for the sake of my children, for the sake of my legacy, for the sake of..." Robert stopped speaking and turned his gaze to the academy, where fierce battles were underway and people were dying.
"But now... it is all going to hell," Robert spoke as if he had lost his purpose. "Would it make sense..." Robert said as immense heat began to emit from him, a sort of heat Wei Jun had felt before, and not only felt, but almost melted to it before.
"To live when all of it is gone?" Robert said his last words in a heavy voice, a literal heavy voice as his body began to change. The red scales that only covered half of his body now began to spread all over his body.
If that was the only change, Wei Jun wouldn't have felt that strange, but...
Shaa!!!
Massive gusts of heat and air began to emit from Robert's surroundings and struck Wei Jun, but Wei Jun couldn't close his eyes as he couldn't miss the marvel right before his eyes.
Robert not only began to grow, but wings sprouted from his back, along with his body turning to that of a dragon, than a human, his face changing to that of a monster than a human and the heat emitting from him turned the ground around him redder than the color itself.
There was no trace of a human left anymore, the size of the monster before Wei Jun was almost four meters, resembling Morial by a great bit, but where Morial had skin, this monster had scales all over its body.
"That's..." Wei Jun couldn't even finish his sentence when the monster screamed out loud, and a globe of fire began to form in the middle of his mouth.
"Fu*k my luck."
