Chapter 1099: High Level Problem I

In one of the Hell’s central territories, far from the current war of domination in Abby’s old territory, was a long red plain, with a number of missile-shaped buildings distributed evenly throughout the territory.

In this place, undead, hellish guardians and natives of the Hell moved from side to side freely, imitating the movement of a city.

If someone entering the Hell for the first time came across such a place, they would think that the Hell was perhaps a bit like every other dimension of existence, with cities and wide-ranging populations. Such a place seemed like a great living mechanism, pulsing with diversity and work.

From the sounds of creatures at work, to the apparent movement and warmth of the region, the place was at odds with the truth of Hell’s grandiose and sparsely inhabited world.

Going deeper into this ’city’, large statues were positioned around the largest and most important building in the area, a grand palace in the shape of a half-moon, with a bright red core floating in its central position.

From this core of energy and elements ran subtle lines of ethereal energy, almost completely invisible. But they were there, connected to almost all the creatures inhabiting this infernal domain.

Going deep into the palace of the strongest of the Devils, creatures positioned as guards could be seen every few meters, until, underground in the area, a group of human, humanoid women could be found in meditation positions in an area of individual chambers.

Of these women, the two had long, wavy brown hair, fair skin, and similar appearances, although each had her own distinguishing points. Another of the women had green hair and a smaller build, making her look slender, easy to move around, and dangerous. Finally, a red-haired woman, with signs of a warrior in her expression and clothing, was finishing meditating when she opened her eyes and stood up from her seat.

Her cultivation would have surprised Vicente completely if he had been there to observe. This was a 2-Star Transcendent, the same level as the green-haired girl, one level below the brown-haired women, the twins.

"Welcome back, miss," said a creature in the shape of a black monkey to the young redhead, welcoming her after she had finished her years of cultivation in seclusion in that chamber.

"The others are still meditating... Did I get ahead of myself?" She asked as she looked at the places where her harem sisters were.

"No, miss," said the minion waiting for them. "But it might take a few days for the others to wake up. Anyway, would you like to see the master again? He finished his meditation session three nights ago and is in the main office at the moment."

"Oh? Has Lothur finished? All right, take me to him," she said as she molded a beautiful smile on her face, having spent the last few centuries in seclusion to reach the current level she was at.

As the subordinate walked in front of her, Elke stretched her legs as she lengthened them and also her arms. Even at her current level, spending so many years sitting could be uncomfortable.

But after a brief movement of her powers through her muscles, the red-haired beauty felt much better, being able to sense more of her new powers and spread her senses around her surroundings.

As she did so, however, Elke looked to the north, sensing something strange. "That..."

"It’s war, ma’am. The Devils are disputing the large territory of a Devil who recently fell." Explained the subordinate just before they reached the office where the Devil of this domain, the strongest Devil of the Hell, was at the moment.

Elke looked at the subordinate, but as soon as she saw the silhouette of her husband in that room, facing a balcony and looking in the same direction as her, she turned her focus to him, allowing the subordinate to leave.

The man dressed in black, with his long silver hair, looked back and nodded to his wife.

"Qhava and the others are vying for the position of who will fight me for the Hell," Lothur Retter said to his wife, who stopped beside him and also looked north.

"That will be difficult... Do any of them have a chance of reaching your level? You’re already a level 129 Celestial now," said the red-haired girl, using Hell’s official cultivation system.

Vicente had already learned about this system. The beings of the Hell recognized the same classification as the beings of Anicane, but they used certain names to classify different parts of the same stage. For example, instead of calling a low, medium or high level Transcendent, they had other names for these beings. The low level would be Celestial, while the medium level would be True Celestial. Finally, those at a high level were Absolutes.

In addition, the beings from the Hell and also from Argardus liked to count each level they advanced. So they directly counted each level, adding them up and then arriving at the result number of cultivation.

This system led to some differences in terms of level numbers to that of Anicane, but this only really showed at low levels. In short, low-level beings found it very difficult to classify themselves and it was common for each plane of existence to have distortions of classifications for them. But for high levels, the conversion was almost perfect and easy to understand and compare.

Level 130 was supposedly the limit of the medium-level, which put Devil Lothur close to the Absolute range of the last stage. With a cultivation of 6-Star, he could enter 7-Star and become the only Absolute at any time!

Lothur closed his eyes as he considered his wife’s comment, remembering the dream that had woken him up and made him leave his seclusion.

"I’m not sure about that. A variable came up a few years ago." His eyes shone, showing him a path of stars and a golden aura. This path went in and out of the Hell several times until it left behind a darkness that was hard to ignore.

"That variable has gone, but it has left something for us. I feel like I have a competitor growing quietly somewhere in the Hell." He revealed his concern.

The woman became serious upon hearing this, having rarely in her journey seen her husband become so serious while already being so powerful.

"Is that really possible?" She asked to confirm her concern.

"I’m afraid it is."

"Then what are we going to do?" She asked, already sweating.

"We’ll wait for the others to wake up. After that, we’ll join the war. Qhava wants to challenge me, so I’ll deal with her and this variable at the same time."
