Aqua wasn’t done as water formed around the Mushroom man quickly lifting him off the ground, at the same time the water changed texture as it began turning to ice capturing the Mushroom looking man.
Aqua was about to say something, but was stopped as the mushroom man kept muttering to himself "No, no I can’t be defeated and captured again like the last world. This world was supposed to be my new chance to become something better. No I can’t be defeated"
Aqua expression changed as they controlled the ice encasing the Mushroom man to shoot up to the sky. Immediately after he did that a huge explosion sound came from the sky, soon it started raining down spores, green blood and then crystal like dots which came from the exploded ice.
Aqua had a weird look on his face as he looked up to the sky and around him "What was that about?" he thought to himself still finding it hard comprehending the mushroom behavior.
Quickly putting it behind him, Aqua made his way back to Brix to see if everything was alright with them, it didn’t take much time for Aqua to regroup with the team where he was met with a sight of Brix pulling his team mate out from the ground.
His appearance caught Brix attention who turned towards him "What was that huge explosion sound"
Aqua shrugged to show his confusion "I still can’t explain what had happened, the main life form turned out to be intelligent and could talk, but he held so much animosity that there was no getting through to him"
"We had a little shuffle, with me easily capturing him, what happened next was something I still don’t understand as it chose to blow up" Aqua recounted his encounter to Brix who also had a weirded out look on his face.
"Either way, the problem is solved and it seems with its death our own people are freed. Now we can continue with what we came here to do in the first place" Brix said to Aqua who nodded but not before taking a look up to the sky where the mushroom humanoid exploded.
Just as Brix and Aqua continued their Journey to restore the destroyed land, down deep in a separate realm known as the underworld, a place of death, Unknown changes can now be seen taking place in this realm filled with dead souls.
The change all started with a encounter between the people of the harpy kingdom and the weirdly mutated creatures that have been affecting their land and continent, a research group were sent out to find out what was going on, where the source of the mist was from and was was the cause of the changes in the animals.
This led to the research group having to come up with an encounter with those weird beasts which to them ended those mutated beast life, that was all for the harpies but it was something different for the underworld realm.
The underworld has souls of people of all the races in the world of Nana living in it but there is a soul that never has been seen in the underworld realm before and that was the soul of an animal. This wasn’t because animals don’t have a soul but rather that their soul is no miniscule it is snuffed out immediately after their death before it could make its way to the underworld.
Yet on this destined day, souls belonging to animals made their way into the underworld realm and not just any normal animals but those grotesque mutated animals souls, and it came in waves.
This was because the Jaguar demon took notice of the Harpy people’s approach into its land so it sent out the mutated beast in hope of scaring back and holding back the harpies but it underestimated their strength as the beast were all taken care of, and this was also having its effect on the underworld.
For some reason after those grotesque beast souls made their way to the underworld, the before unresponsive dead souls became active as they all rushed to the animals souls like they had smelt something delicious as the animals souls were all devoured with nothing left.
The two demigods Roth and Xerosis left in charge of the underworld were taken by surprise at the new soul added to their mothers realm and then the reaction of the other dead souls. The two demigods found out that most souls that ate the beast souls all have a trace of intelligence to their eyes.
This greatly surprised the two demigods as apart from the women souls transformed by Xerosis, no souls have such level of intelligence activity. Doing what their mother requested of them, the two demigods stood by and watched as the souls that managed to get a bit of the beast souls all regained intelligence.
The two were hoping that it would continue this way but they noticed that the animals souls were presenting themselves less in the realm, but the realm consciousness which has been quiet did something surprising Roth and Xerosis even more.
The underworld has always been merely bleak with nothing in it, only endless flat lands with millions of souls aimlessly roaming around with no purpose yet under the eyes of the two demigods. Their mother’s realm began changing, Mountains quickly growing out from under the ground, the grounds breaking apart with water in unnatural colors sprouting out from out under the ground.
As the landscape of the underworld transformed, so did the souls within it. Those who had consumed the mutated beast souls began to exhibit remarkable changes. Their once hollow eyes regained a glimmer of awareness, and the corporal soul body underwent a change as they regained the forms they had before their death.
At the same time they all moved very purposefully even those other souls that haven’t gotten their hand on a beast soul also moved with purpose as they all gathered together, with that came and unnatural howling sound from their mouth as they all howled towards the dark sky of the realm like they were communicating with something.
With that came a huge gray light leaving the souls of every dead souls in the realm even the women transformed by Xerosis weren’t spared as they exuded gray light which gathered up to the sky until it reached a limit followed by a huge sound of explosion which came from the same sky. The gathered light exploded.
The explosion sent a huge shock wave around the whole realm as dots of light fell from the sky to each soul body as they also began undergoing a change, the realm at the same time was also undergoing a change, as dead dried roots sprouted from the ground, even dark grass sprouted from the ground filling up the realm.
Roth had his mouth wide open as he watched everything happening in front of him "What the Hell is going on?" He muttered to himself but his sister heard him so she responded.
"I don’t know what is happening brother but it certainly is nothing but great, I have a feeling our boring days will be over soon with these new changes"Xerosis responded.
Roth nodded with a smile on his face as he squatted and grabbed a handful of the newly grown dark grass " Where did those beast souls come from?"
Xerosis knew Roth was asking her so she replied "I had one of my sirens check to see where they are coming from and it was from Uncle Crepuscular land, there are a lot of these unknown beast"
"Our cousin’s people are taking care of the beast so that’s what led to us having their souls come to mother’s realm" Xerosis answered. 𝑛𝘰𝘷𝑝𝘶𝑏.𝑐𝘰𝘮
"What makes these beast so special that they can bring such a huge change" Roth wondered out loud, at the same time he continued "I feel tempted to grab more of those beast to see what other changes they can bring to the realm"
Xerosis nodded beside him "I would refrain from that brother as we don’t fully understand why they have such effect on our realm, so far it looks good and I hope it continues this way, but it could have gone a lot worse so until we are sure of what is going in we do both but accept it"
Saying that Xerosis floated to one of the human souls who seem to have regained his senses as he began looking around strangely all over the place. The human soul looked around with wide eyes, seemingly taking in the transformed landscape of the underworld with a mix of awe and confusion. His gaze eventually settled on Xerosis as she approached him, her ethereal form emanating a sense of both power and grace.
"Who... who are you?" the soul stammered, his voice trembling slightly.
Xerosis smiled gently, her voice echoing softly through the air. "I am Xerosis, daughter of the goddess Keles, and this is my brother Roth," she gestured towards Roth who stood nearby, still observing the changes unfolding around them.
