Chapter 159: 159

Mahu looked at Ikenga confused, Ikenga meanwhile smiled and shook his head "I didn’t do anything, the demon seem prepared for peeping like this"

Mahu looked at the dark screen before waving her hand as the screen went away "You are going to stay long this time huh?" She said with assured voice to Ikem who smiled as he floated up and flew past her into her home, Smile bloomed on Mahu’s face as she quickly caught up grabbing hold of his hands.

Meanwhile down on the southern continent, In the cave Chen headed into. Chen can be seen walking through the empty path on the underground palace. The place was empty but for some reason Chen felt that it was never truly empty.

It is small things like this that Chen didn’t quite like about his father, he has seen how other kids are eager to meet their parents but in the case of him and his sister who never sees eye to eye with him. The only thing they can both agree on was how facing their father or being in his presence is very unnerving.

Soon Chen got to the center of the palace before walking into the building to soon appear in a throne room where a figure in a throne clad in a dark robe with glowing red eyes was staring at him.

Chen didn’t dare look into the eyes as he knelt down "I’m back from the mission you sent me for father"

The figure in the throne stood up from the throne, walking down the steps to the throne. The figure soon stood before a table at the center of the throne room where a replica of the planet Nana can be seen with a red dot floating near it.

"Was it hard and how was the strength of the goddess?" The figure who turned out to be Murmur spoke out in a deep voice.

A flash of the sight of the destroyed region and land he saw flashed through Chen eyes "Strong, too strong"

Murmur showed no outward reaction at the word; instead he looked at the wounded Chen and said "With your description, how is it that you are still standing and alive in front of me?"

Chen hands clenched hearing that but he managed to spit out "The men gave their in exchange for any opportunity for me to retreat before we were wiped out"

Chen received no confirmation or answer back after his response, it took every willpower he had to stop himself from looking up. He only heard the footsteps of his father climbing the stairs to his throne.

"How was the goddess able to act in the mortal world, did she appear in her physical form or did she possess a believer?" Murmur asked from his throne to his lying kneeling son.

"We already know information on the silver kingdom but haven’t really got an understanding of their power system but this war showed that it was able to allow the goddess they worship to descend into them and exhibit a certain level of power. The vessel descended upon has to be strong and not too weak or damaged or else the vessel will break apart"

"Observation shows that the goddess can be continuously summoned as long as there are people capable of being a vessel" Chen said as he recalled the feedback he got from his now dead men on their way back.

"I see, you can leave. You have a kingdom to lead and your sister is already losing her mind signing all those papers" Chen nodded as he stood up not looking up until he was out of the throne room, releasing the breath he was holding. Chen made his way out of the cave through another exit leading to his place which was above.

Back in the throne room, Murmur’s hands can be seen tapping his throne at the position where Chen was kneeling. An eye appeared out of thin air before floating up to Murmur who grabbed the eyeball as he opened his mouth to swallow it at the same time he closed his eyes.

Pictures of everything Chen saw on the battlefield flashed through Murmur’s mind even the scene of him killing his men flashed across his eyes but he paid no mind to that instead his mind was paying close attention to Einar figure whose picture is now paused in his mind.

A spiritual replica of Murmur can be seen walking around the battlefield like he was there, he squatted to look down at the ridges caused by Mahu casual wave and how far and long the damage went.

Having seen enough he walked towards Einar figure, stretching out his hand to touch Einar brow, all of a sudden Murmur spiritual figure tried to jump back but was late in doing that as Einar figure grabbed hold of his hand.

Back in Mahu’s realm, Ikenga and Mahu can be seen laying on a couch with Ikenga head on Mahu’s lap as she played with his dread, soon her hands paused as she frowned. She felt someone trying to touch her and that person most certainly wasn’t Ikenga.

Mahu’s eyes glowed silver as her perspective changed and she was back again on the battlefield holding the hand of a figure who was looking at her surprised. The figure managed to get themselves together quickly as the hand Mahu was holding turned smoky escaping her grasp.

The figure distanced themselves away from Mahu before bowing gentlemanly "It is an honor to be in the presence of a beautiful deity like you" Murmur said as he bowed with a smirk at the corner of his lips.

Mahu didn’t react to his word ashe spoke up with lear conviction "You are the demon encroaching the southern continent"

Murmur smirk dropped for a bit before it went back up as he responded "That was quick but a correction to your word choice your highness, I am not encroaching the continent instead I was accepted to it and I am making it better"

"Don’t play word games with me, What are you calling me for?" Mahu asked coldy.

Murmur meanwhile was struggling to keep it together, he was just trying to gauge the goddess strength through Einar last message, he wasn’t expecting to contact the goddess in the process and now hearing the goddess question he didn’t know what to say.

He could feel it, the goddess was still taken back by her surroundings but slowly her presence was encroaching Murmur spiritual space, not wanting to stay here any long Murmur concentrated his spiritual power to a huge hand to push Mahu out.

Mahu was taken back by the huge hand that appeared, in an attempt to push back, she stretched her out resisting the huge palm but this was Murmur space so he overpowered pushing her out.

Back in the real world, Mahu eyes stopped glowing silver and she was back in her realm face to face with Ikenga brown eyes looking into hers.

"What happened, you spaced out on me" Ikenga asked, taking a closer look at Mahu.

Mahu pushed Ikenga face away and patted her lap which Ikenga proceed to lay his head on "I don’t know what the demon on the southern continent was doing but it felt like he was trying to touch me so I pushed back"

"How could he gain access to you?" Ikenga asked, confused.

"I believe he was able to somehow through a memory of what happened in the battlefield and through Einar who I was possessing at the time to gain access" Mahu answered thinking back on the space she was in.

Ikenga chuckled "This demon is proving to be more interesting, first we was able to avoid our eyes and now he is able to connect with us through a memory"

Ikenga saying that out loud felt that he caught a glimpse of something but he really quite couldn’t get a good grasp of what it was, shrugging Ikenga hands made its way up Mahu skirt who chuckled and said "Finally making a move huh"

Ikenga already up and kissing Mahu’s neck with his eye glowing green responded back "You saying the demon almost touched you didn’t sit quite well with me when I haven’t really laid my hands on you"

A moan escaped Mahu’s mouth as she replied "So it took a demon getting to me for you to finally see me"

"That and a few personal moral issues" Ikenga said as his lips sealed up with Mahu’s.

While the two gods were playing, Murmur is now in his throne facing the consequences of action, his body can be seen shivering and icy mist escaping his mouth. Mahu’s attempt at pushing back left him wounded, he can’t even describe how bad the wound was as it is something spiritual.

"It seems being sealed up for such a long time inside the Kaos child stomach has impacted me heavily for me to make such low level mistake" Murmur whispered to himself while shivering, thinking back on his arrogance to touch upon an origin god unnoticed was something truly stupid but it was a good wake up call. 𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙥𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝙤𝒎
