Chapter 925: 445 Danger_2 Chapter 925: 445 Danger_2 Gideon Moore wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, and said awkwardly, “Sorry, I apologize.”

Dallyn shot him a glance, “Didn’t you say you weren’t coming in?”

“It’s too dangerous in here, I won’t feel at ease.

If anything happens to Mistress, I won’t be able to handle the responsibility.”

“Then you follow, with your old arms and legs, don’t be a drag when it counts.”

Aubree Groove walked straight in.

Before her was a bottomless darkness; the ground beneath her feet was bumpy and uneven.

The sound of dripping water from the stone walls on either side was exceptionally clear in this windless and silent place.

Dallyn was only tugging at the hem of Aubree’s skirt, stepping in sync as she followed her.

“Mistress, what kind of place is this?”

It’s really scary.

Aubree’s ears pricked up, she swiftly turned off her phone, and suddenly pulled Dallyn, pinning her against the stone wall.

...

She hooked one leg around Gideon, tripping him, and he fell to the ground with a cry of pain.

A series of crazy calls echoed from a distance, growing nearer and nearer by the second.

They surged forward with a momentum that seemed like it could destroy everything in its path.

In that instant, Dallyn’s eyes widened in the darkness, her long hair flying in the gusting wind.

Yet, her fear was soothed by the faint fragrance emanating from the young lady in front of her, as if no matter the storm, she would shield her from everything.

After the noise faded, and the wind died down, a warm hand rested on her head, a soft voice falling by her ear.

“Are you okay?”

Dallyn shook her head, “Mistress, what was that just now?”

“A swarm of bats.”

Dallyn drew in a sharp breath, thankful that she couldn’t see what had occurred.

It was hard to imagine what that scene would have been like.

Gideon Moore lay on the ground, completely stiff.

Just now, a swarm of bats had flown right by his face…

Gideon Moore lay on the ground, retching.

Aubree turned her head to look in the direction they had come from.

The swarm of bats had flown out of the iron gate.

If they appeared in front of people, it could cause a panic.

“Butler Moore, are you okay?” Dallyn asked kindly.

“I’m…I’m fine…” Gideon Moore started retching again.

“You were supposed to protect the Mistress.

Without her, you probably would have been torn apart by the bats.”

“Yes, yes, I owe Mistress my life.” Gideon Moore said, still shaken.

Aubree turned on the flashlight on her phone and proceeded inside again.

Silvia Hayes had just left Groove Hall and unconsciously looked up at the sky.

There was a rolling mass of dark clouds moving in from the north, rapidly approaching.

Silvia Hayes’ pupils contracted.

“What on earth is that?”

Jenny Linggo screamed, turning around and running back into Groove Hall.

The swarm of bats darkened the sky, so terrifying it was like locusts crossing the land at midday.

In Groove Hall, the noble ladies had never seen such a scene and immediately descended into chaos.

Madam Elijah kept her calm and slapped the table, “Everyone, sit down!

All this noise and fuss, it’s just not becoming.”

Fortunately, the swarm of bats just flew over Groove Hall and didn’t attack any humans, disappearing in the direction of Phoenix Mountain.

Madam Elijah breathed a sigh of relief, unconsciously looking at Hellena Groove and Titi Groove.

Both young ladies were frowning, their faces filled with worry.

Upon exchanging glances, they both seemed worried about Aubree.

The wind blew, and Silvia Hayes felt a chilly sensation on her back.

She turned her head to look in the direction of Phoenix Mountain, feeling vaguely uneasy.

“Why are there so many bats,” Madam Linggo said, wiping the cold sweat off her forehead.

“I heard that when they appear in large groups, it means a natural disaster is coming.

I hope nothing major happens.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she found herself on the receiving end of Madam Elijah’s icy stare.

Madam Linggo choked up and laughed awkwardly, “Just speaking nonsense, Madam Elijah, don’t take it to heart.”

If there really were a disaster, the first one to suffer would be Lando Elijah, which Madam Elijah would definitely not be pleased with.

Madam Elijah dialed Aubree Groove’s number, it didn’t go to voicemail, nor was it unanswered, instead, it was out of the service area.

“Those bats earlier really disgusted me, I don’t even know where they came from.” Jenny Linggo said, clutching her chest.

Jenny Linggo saw her continuously looking in the direction of Phoenix Mountain and instinctively followed her gaze.

“What are you looking at?”

“Nothing,” Silvia Hayes turned around and walked back into Groove Hall.

“Weren’t you going to find Aubree?” Jenny Linggo followed her in.

Silvia Hayes sat down, glanced at Madam Elijah, and curled her lips,”Dreamy Villa is so big, what if I get lost?”

Silvia Hayes indeed wasn’t familiar with Dreamy Villa, and straying aimlessly could end in disaster.

She always felt that something was off about this place.
