Chapter 924: 445 Danger_1 Chapter 924: 445 Danger_1 “Maybe we should call the police,” Dallyn suggested.
Right now, Dallyn trusted in the police, always relying on them in times of trouble.
“We cannot call the police,” Gideon Moore outright refused.
Aubree glanced at Gideon Moore with an indifferent look.
Gideon Moore felt a twinge in his chest, then lowered his eyes modestly, “Perhaps the young ladies just got lost.
If we pull the police into this, it will turn into a big fuss, damaging the Mistress’s reputation.
As of now, I have already mobilized everyone in the villa to search for them.
...
I believe we will have results soon.
Wouldn’t it be better for the Mistress to wait patiently?”
Dallyn snorted, “These are the daughters of some of Pethkids’ wealthiest families.
If something happened to them, could you bear that responsibility?”
Aubree turned her head to look in the northern direction and began walking that way.
Gideon Moore quickly scurried after her, “Mistress, you can’t go there…”
Aubree appeared languid, but she was walking surprisingly fast, causing Gideon Moore to struggle to keep up, grunting and panting.
Dreamy Villa was built along the mountain, with the ridge of Phoenix Mountain to the north, blocked by a wall.
The wall was covered in dried up vines.
Among the vines, a worn and mottled wooden door was faintly visible.
“Open it.” Her cold voice brooked no disagreement.
“Mistress, we can’t go in there…
there’s been ghostly occurrences here before…”
But a pair of profound eyes looked back at him, and in a split second, Gideon Moore swallowed all his words, a cold sweat trickling down his back.
Dallyn walked over and touched it, “This is an old-style lock.
Watch me handle it.”
Dallyn fumbled through her hair, pulling out a hairpin.
She fiddled with the lock for a moment, and with a soft “click”, the lock sprung open.
“Piece of cake.” Dallyn tossed the lock lightly, squinting at Gideon Moore.
The color on Gideon Moore’s face could no longer be described as pale.
“Mistress, we really can’t go in there…”
Without any hesitation, Aubree walked right in, not even looking back.
Dallyn quickly followed behind Aubree.
Gideon Moore frowned deeply, sighed and reluctantly stepped in as well.
Just beyond the door, it was a completely different world.
Outside the door was the picturesque May Forest, while inside was a vast and gloomy chasm, facing a sheer and dangerous cliff.
“Drip, drip” water was trickling down the moss-covered cliff.
Years of dripping water had worn small holes into the stone underneath.
The clear water refracted flickering light, and a thin strip of sunlight fell through the crevices of the cliff, scattering on the water’s surface like shattered stars.
“Wow, this is so beautiful.” It was the true craftsmanship of nature.
Dallyn couldn’t help but exclaim in awe.
“Hey, there’s a door here.” There was a downward staircase at the back of the cliff, leading to an iron door at the end.
The iron door was covered in rust, looking centuries-old and entirely abandoned.
Aubree walked down the stairs and gently touched the iron door.
Suddenly, she applied force, and a hum echoed, making Dallyn cover her ears instinctively.
In front of them, the wooden door opened, and a musty, moldy odor filled the air, almost inducing vomiting.
Inside the door was a pitch-dark abyss as if it was a mysterious whirlpool hiding unknown dangers.
With a steady face, Aubree was about to stride in when Dallyn rushed to stop her.
“Miss, don’t go in yet.
Let’s get some people here first.
This place is too eerie.”
Gideon Moore also chimed in from behind, “Yes, Mistress.
If anything happens to you, how am I going to explain it to The Harts and The Rintos?”
Aubree gave Dallyn a light glance, “You wait for me here.
I’ll go in by myself.”
Dallyn gripped Aubree’s hand tightly, shaking her head vehemently.
Aubree gently moved her hand, and Dallyn suddenly felt a numb sensation in her wrist and subconsciously let go.
The next moment, Aubree walked into the iron door without looking back.
As the door was about to close, Dallyn dashed in without hesitation.
“Mistress, don’t think about ditching me.”
Aubree took out her phone and turned on the flashlight.
In the pitch-black darkness, a beam of light finally appeared, but it could only illuminate a small area around their feet.
“Aren’t you scared?”
“With the Mistress here, what’s there to be scared of?
The Mistress is bathed in Buddha’s light and blessed by Buddha himself,” Dallyn said proudly.
Even the police didn’t provide as much sense of security as the Mistress did.
Behind them, the rustling of footsteps echoed, causing Dallyn to turn around.
To her surprise, it was Gideon Moore, who almost scared her to death.
“Butler Moore, you almost scared me to death.”
