Jun Mochan stroked his chin with two fingers: “That’s faster than I expected.”
“At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before Ye Tianjiao and Gao Han get divorced,” Ye Ranran clapped her hands together.
Should she celebrate by setting off a firecracker when the time comes?
Jun Mochan’s expression turned somewhat dangerous: “Are you that eager to see them divorced?”
“Of course.
I dream of seeing Ye Tianjiao divorce Gao Han, the Ye family going bankrupt, and kicking them out,” Ye Ranran sounded unaffected by her husband’s words and was speaking her mind.
“Ye Ranran, I am surprised to see you so persistent.
Are you still clinging to the past with him?”
Ye Ranran stared wide-eyed in disbelief: “What nonsense are you talking about?
Which one of your eyes sees me still clinging to the past?”
“Then why are you hoping for their divorce?” Within Jun Mochan’s dark pupils shimmered ripples that were like sunshine casting on a lake, scattering multiple colors, mesmerizing people.
Ye Ranran was caught off guard and fell deep into his eyes, catching a glimpse of his panic and discontent.
“Are you jealous?” Ye Ranran grinned, her eyes bright with mirth.
“Your Mr.
Jun has never been jealous of anyone before.
Don’t think you can change the subject that easily.”
A smile spread from her eyes to the corners of her mouth until her entire face was full of mirth: “Mr.
Jun, I am your wife now.
Even if I wanted to, I don’t have the courage to abandon you, do I?”
“You’re actually thinking of abandoning me?” Jun Mochan’s expression turned chilling.
What?
Was that the main point of the conversation here?
Ye Ranran reached out, encircled Jun Mochan’s neck, and rested her head on his chest.
With a pout, she cooed, “As long as Mr.
Jun does not abandon me, I will not abandon you.”
“So, you’ve learned to bargain.” Jun Mochan’s voice was devoid of any emotion.
Ye Ranran frowns in dissatisfaction, “Isn’t this the time you’re supposed to tell me you’d never leave me?”
What the hell was that threatening comment?
“Seeing as you already belong to me, do you think you can still abandon me?”
Suddenly, all the sweetness was gone.
…
After parting from the hospital, Gao Han drove for ten minutes, feeling more and more guilty towards Ye Tianjiao.
She had done so much for him, and now that she had married him, it was only natural that she would be upset with the recent events.
As her husband, he should comfort her and live a good life with her.
With that thought, Gao Han turned the car around and headed back.
Unexpectedly, he witnessed that scene earlier, which felt extremely ironic to him.
He put the pedal to the metal, even ignoring multiple red lights.
He opened the car window fully, letting the wind rush in from outside.
After his head cleared up a bit, Gao Han finally stopped the car.
He lifted his gaze slightly and saw the word ‘Enchantment’.
The largest bar in the city—Enchantment.
Gao Han opened the car door and walked in.
“Oh, look who’s here – the younger Mr.
Gao.
What a rare guest.”
“Come on, sit here, let’s have a drink.”
Seeing Gao Han, the young and wealthy regulars at the bar crowded around him.
Although the Gao Group was recently in trouble, there was still a chance for a turnaround as long as it hadn’t fallen yet.
So naturally, they approached him to exchange pleasantries.
Gao Han sat down without uttering a word, just pouring drink after drink.
“Mr.
Gao, why are you sitting here drinking all by yourself?” A man walked over.
“Get lost.”
“Alright, I’ll leave.
It’s not like I was eager to engage with you anyway.” The man murmured and left with his drink.
