Gao Han continued to drink glass after glass, the loud music blaring continuously.
“Handsome, why alone?” A beauty holding a drink sat next to Gao Han.
Gao Han didn’t even glance at her.
The beauty boldly put her hand on his shoulder.
Gao Han turned his head, his gaze sharp as a dagger, and the beauty quickly withdrew her hand in fright.
Gao Han slowly stood up, his footsteps wavering from too much drink.
He stumbled forward, but when he saw the people on the stage, his expression froze.
He widened his eyes as if he were seeing a hallucination.
On the stage, a seductive woman was dancing enthusiastically, standing out like a crane in a flock of chickens despite the many people around her.
Next to her stood a handsome man.
Their bodies intertwined occasionally, their movements synchronized in dance.
Gao Han’s face turned black as he returned to his seat and continued to drown his sorrows in alcohol.
His phone, at this very moment, rang.
“Hello.” Without even looking, Gao Han picked up the call.
“President Gao, the presentation for tomorrow’s tender has been sent to your mailbox.
Please check if there are any changes needed.” Spoke an energetic and pleasant voice from the phone.
Gao Han pictured a charming face in his mind.
“I’m at Charm Bar.
Come over.” Gao Han changed the subject and then hung up the phone.
He drank while staring fixedly at the man and woman on the stage.
After the dance, Ye Tianjiao felt much of her frustration had dissipated.
She descended from the stage with the man.
“Thanks for today.
I feel a lot better now.” Flicking her hair flirtatiously, Ye Tianjiao thanked the man.
“Stop saying thank you.
You’ve already said it too many times tonight.” The man feigned annoyance.
Ye Tianjiao stuck her tongue out, “Sorry, force of habit.”
The secretary arrived shortly.
She searched around Charm Bar until she finally found a heavily drunk Gao Han.
“President Gao.” The secretary went over and nudged Gao Han.
Gao Han lifted his head from his arm, opened his half-closed eyes, “There you are.
That was quick.”
“President Gao, you’ve had too much.
Let me help you home.”
The secretary put his arm across her shoulder, her other hand supporting his waist, so he could lean on her for support.
The towering masculine body enveloped her, his unfamiliar male scent creeping into her nostrils.
The secretary’s face instantly flushed red.
“Your face is red.” Like he’d discovered a new continent, Gao Han prodded the secretary’s face.
“President Gao, you’re drunk.
I’ll take you home.”
The familiar honorific made Ye Tianjiao turn her head, and then she saw a familiar figure.
The smile on her face quickly vanished.
“Gao Han.” She stood in front of Gao Han, seething.
Gao Han looked up at her and snickered, “You have the nerve to stand in front of me?”
“And you dare to question me, who is she?” Ye Tianjiao pointed at the secretary.
“Mrs.
Gao, I’m President Gao’s secretary.” Out of fear that Ye Tianjiao would misunderstand, the woman hurriedly explained.
Far from calming down, Ye Tianjiao’s expression grew even darker, “Secretary?
Dressed like this, it’s clear what you’re after.”
“She’s my secretary, when is it your turn to criticise?
Ye Tianjiao, I haven’t even started on you, and you’re already blaming me.” Gao Han pointed at her.
When had Ye Tianjiao ever faced such accusations?
She charged forward angrily, “Blaming me?
Gao Han, who gave you the right to blame me?”
She aggressively pushed the secretary aside in an attempt to get her out of the way.
