Chapter 144: Chapter 144: Am I Pretty? 2

"Am I attractive?"

Thrown back to reality by those words and a light slap, Su Tang felt a bit embarrassed and turned her eyes away. She pushed against Gaiyin’s chest saying, "You, you, you... let go of me..."

Gaiyin flipped himself over her, supporting his left hand near Su Tang’s ear, covering her body beneath his. With his right hand, he gently held her chin, straightening her head. As their eyes met, he asked in a hushed tone, "You haven’t answered my question, Su, am I attractive?"

His silver-white hair hung over his forehead, his black vertical pupils seemed so gentle, as if about to drip with kindness. A bewitching smile played around his lips.

At this moment, Gaiyin looked like a fairy, enchanting Su Tang completely as she nodded fervently, muttering softly, "Yes, you’re attractive..."

Gaiyin leaned closer toward Su Tang...

Su Tang’s breaths turned ragged, her heart pounded uncontrollably as though about to leap out of her chest at any moment.

"Call me Ayin..."

Blushing, Su Tang stuttered, "A...Ayin...ah..."

The rest of her words got drowned between their lips. Gaiyin’s fervent advances were too much for her to handle. She was left boneless, too tense to even breathe.

Just a second before she nearly suffocated, Gaiyin let go of her. Laughing softly with a trace of helplessness, he said, "How can you hold your breath?"

Even while speaking, he playfully squeezed her somewhat chubby cheeks.

An amorous atmosphere enveloped the dim room, spreading between the two of them. Su Tang felt like she was burning!

"Cough cough..."

Yadang, hands folded across his chest, leaned against the cave entrance, laughing teasingly, "Maybe I should come back later?"

Startled, Su Tang sat up abruptly, pushing Gaiyin away from her. Her face turned as red as a sunset cloud!

Caught off guard, Gaiyin stumbled to the ground with a bit of gracelessness. However, he simply dusted off the beast skin and sat down casually, like a satiated beast.

He glanced at Yadang nonchalantly, "What is it?"

Yadang ambled into the room with a calm demeanor. He sat down on the floor, saying, "According to yesterday’s divination, safety lies in danger. Keep in safe places, it is safe. Put in peril, it is perilous."

Su Tang huddled herself into a corner of the cave, drawing circles absent-mindedly.

Gaiyin’s gaze lingered on Su Tang, suppressing the urge to pull her into his embrace. He asked Yadang, "What do you think?"

Yadang almost smirked, but held it back. If he actually laughed, Gaiyin would surely toss him out the cave. For the sake of his own life, it was better to keep the laughter inside!

"Ma Qing mentioned a place in the Death Forest. The last time the beastmen had the ’Wrath of the Mountain God’ on the Beastman Continent was there! It’s rumored that no tribe living in the Death Forest at that time escaped! Are we really going there, just based on Ma Qing’s word that it’s safe?"

Gaiyin nodded, "True, but can you imagine life in the wilderness after ’the wrath of the Mountain God’? Do you think it’s a place where we can survive?"

There was silence from Yadang.

"Your Divination does not necessarily means there’s only death. Where there is danger, there is safety. Just like the people from a different world, happiness comes with sorrow. If not for Su, do you think our tribe could have escaped this disaster?"

"Even if we escape a collapsed cave, we will suffer heavy casualties! Moreover, there’s ’the wrath of the Mountain God’! I’m afraid we will be forever confined to the wilderness then!"

Though Yadang found Gaiyin’s reasoning sound, he still disagreed with the idea of venturing to the Death Forest.
