Chapter 380: Chapter 381: The Charm of Snow
Meng Ze nodded hastily and headed straight for Su Tang as he stepped out.
"Lady Saint, it’s cold outside, you should quickly go back inside!"
Su Tang climbed out of the Snow Nest, brushed the snow off her body, and laughed merrily, "Oh, it’s you Meng Ze, are you coming out to play too? Gather more people to have a snowball fight! It’ll be so much fun!"
She used to live on the border of the north and the south, where although it snowed in winter, the snow was only a thin layer, reaching the ankle at most.
Now in the Beast World, the snow had reached her knees since the cold season had just begun. This allowed her to enjoy snowball fights and building snowmen without fearing they would melt, and she didn’t have to freeze them in the fridge anymore.
Seeing Su Tang bending down to make another snowball, Meng Ze was seized with even greater terror!
"Lady Saint, don’t touch that anymore! It’s very dangerous!"
Su Tang looked puzzled by his words, "What’s so dangerous about it? It’s a beautiful day, why don’t you go and invite everyone out for a stroll? But remember to dress warmly to prevent catching a cold. Those who are afraid of the cold can bring their scarves and gloves."
Seeing the confident look on Su Tang’s face, Meng Ze felt himself wavering.
After some hesitation, he finally asked, "Is everyone going out safe from being frozen to death? Are the females fine too?"
In past cold seasons, Beastmen would set out for hunting at the season’s onset, hoping to hoard more food.
But later on, even the Beastmen dared not leave the cave because it was just too cold.
Many Beastmen would come back from outside with numerous injuries. Some injuries were so severe that their owners wouldn’t survive a few days.
Thus, the Beastmen held the cold season in great reverence.
Su Tang waved her hand, chuckling, "It’s okay, see? I’m standing here perfectly fine. Don’t you feel warm with the sun shining on you? Isn’t it comfortable?"
Basking in the warmth of the sunlight, Meng Ze had to admit it did feel pretty good.
Recalling how his life had been saved by the Lady Saint, he stopped doubting.
Upon his return to the house, before he could say anything, Yuanyuan anxiously approached him.
"What happened? Weren’t you supposed to send the Lady Saint back? Why did you come back alone?"
Meng Ze cleared his throat, facing a few tribe members in the house, he said, "Lady Saint has said that the weather is fine today, we can go outside to play for a while without worrying about freezing to death! We just need to ensure that we dress warmly. Those who are cold can put on scarves and gloves."
The tribe members cheered upon hearing this.
They each returned to their rooms, got dressed, fiercely protected against the cold, and ran wildly into the snowy outdoors, their faces full of amazement.
Under Su Tang’s guidance, everyone learned to make snowballs and have snowball fights. The snow-covered field echoed with laughter. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
The troubled Meng Ze, however, had to go from house to house, letting everyone know they could go out and play.
It wasn’t long before everyone in the tribe, except for the elderly Beastmen who weren’t willing to move, had run out to the snowy outdoors.
This was everyone’s first time experiencing the charm of snow, and the mountain valley echoed with intense sounds of excitement, happiness, and joyful laughter.
When Gaiyin came back carrying a Deer-horned Beast, he fell silent upon witnessing the lively scene in the valley.
