Chapter 629: Chapter 632: Be Careful of Your Fox Skin
Chiyan saw Chiyu’s gloomy face looking at him, and said coldly, "You better have a reason for me to spare you, or else..."
He cracked his fingers menacingly and advanced toward Chiyan.
"Ah, big brother, let me explain! I think I saw Uncle’s lost cub..."
Chiyan kept shuffling backward, swallowing hard, and cautiously put out his words.
Just as expected, Chiyu’s figure paused on hearing this.
Just as Chiyan thought Chiyu had believed him, suddenly, Chiyu emitted a cold sneer and ruthlessly struck a punch at Chiyan. Accompanied by a wail, the area surrounding Chiyan’s eyes turned noticeably black and blue the moment he raised his head again.
Chiyu roughly gripped Chiyan’s collar, sternly warning, "If I hear such a thing again, beware of your fox skin!"
Years ago, that newly born cub without even a name was implicated because of their mistake, and was stolen and abandoned by the Ming Deer Clan’s beastmen.
Although the Ming Deer Tribal Chief personally executed the guilty beastman afterward, the lost cub was never found again.
No one would expect a newly born cub to survive after being abandoned.
Uncle was heartbroken because of this, his heartache was like twisting a knife, every rainy night. Auntie almost cried her eyes blind, resulting in her current blurry vision.
Chiyu had felt guilty for so many years, if he hadn’t been so playful then, all these following issues wouldn’t have occurred, and the conflict between Ming Deer Clan and Sky Fox Clan wouldn’t be so severe.
So, Chiyu was very sensitive about that past incident, he wouldn’t tolerate anyone making jokes about it, not even his little brother!
Chiyan, covering his eye, saw Chiyu turning around, seemingly intending to leave, and he immediately became anxious!
"Big brother! I swear I didn’t lie to you!"
Chiyu remained unmoved, without even the slightest pause, and strode back towards the tribe without looking back.
Chiyan was agitated and looked around to find no one else, so he yelled out loudly, "I, Chiyan of the Sky Fox Clan, swear to the Beast God, if what I said earlier was a half lie, may I be subject to divine punishment!"
A ray of white light flew out from Chiyan’s body and ascended into the sky, finally causing Chiyu to halt his steps.
Chiyan breathed a sigh of relief, he looked at Chiyu triumphantly, "So, big brother, do you believe me now?"
As soon as the words left his mouth, Chiyu, with a dark face, turned around and quickly walked over to Chiyan and landed another punch on him!
"Ouch!" Chiyan held his other eye, and he complained with a face full of wronged innocence, "I swear before the great Beast God, why won’t you believe me!"
Chiyu looked at him disappointedly, "Who told you to casually swear to the Beast God? Did I ever say I didn’t believe you?"
Chiyan, with a pair of eyes as black as a panda’s, uttered with both anger and aggrievance, "You didn’t say it verbally, but doesn’t your action imply that you don’t trust me?"
Seeing Chiyan still arguing back, Chiyu became so frustrated that his temples throbbed.
Chiyan looked serious, "Big brother, I know you’re worried about me, but I’m really not lying to you. That beastman I saw, he looks extremely similar to our grandpa, even the age matches, and his Qi is unmistakably that of the Sky Fox Clan’s, but I’ve never seen him before!"
Chiyu calmed down a bit and gazed quietly at Chiyan.
"Big brother, think about it, besides the cub our uncle lost years ago, are there any other members of the Sky Fox Clan who were left outside?"
Chiyu’s breath hurried, his eyes flickered incessantly.
