Chapter 630: Chapter 633: What do you want to do!
Chiyan, sensing an opportunity, added fuel to the fire and said, "Elder brother, it couldn’t hurt to go and take a look. What if, just what if, that beastman truly is uncle’s lost cub?"
Something about that sentence struck a chord with Chiyu, and he finally agreed.
However, as they were on their way, he still seemed uneasy and cautioned, "Before we can clear up the situation, we must prevent uncle and auntie from knowing about this beastman! Understand?"
Chiyan nodded vigorously, "Rest assured, elder brother, I understand. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come to find you."
Chiyu remained silent, but with a glance at Chiyan, he finally seemed to have done something decent.
...
A secluded cave near the canyon.
Everyone was huddled together, laughing and chatting, apart from Yadang who paced back and forth at the entrance of the cave, occasionally glancing toward the direction that Chiyan had departed.
His inner turmoil was evident on his face, his heart thumping restlessly as if harboring a rabbit inside it.
Finally, as he peered outside once more, two red figures were tangibly reflected back at him.
Yadang quickly turned around and sat down on a vacant large stone next to Xi’en. He calmly turned to the others and asked, "What are you guys playing? Sounds fun! Can I join in?"
Su Tang raised an eyebrow and playfully asked, "Decided not to wait at the cave entrance anymore? Has the person in question already shown up?"
Caught off guard, Yadang’s face turned a rare shade of red.
Su Tang was about to tease him further when she noticed two figures appearing at the mouth of the cave.
Chiyan’s voice echoed from the outside, "Elder brother, he’s in here!"
Yadang immediately straightened his posture. He looked sternly at Su Tang, but unconsciously leaned towards the cave entrance, wanting whoever was coming in to notice him instantly.
Seeing this, Su Tang sighed inwardly. Although Yadang claimed not to care, he was definitely serious about this matter.
Chiyu had already entered the cave. His presence alone seemed to exert an oppressive hold, spreading instantly throughout the cave.
However, Gaiyin and the others weren’t the type to be intimidated easily. As soon as Chiyu walked in with an aura of intimidation, they responded in kind with their own formidable auras, neutralizing Chiyu’s in the process.
The combined strength of their auras was immense, and Chiyu was taken aback, retreating a couple of steps, a hint of shock passing through his eyes.
Chiyan quickly steadied Chiyu, "Elder brother, are you okay?"
Chiyu waved his hand, signaling Chiyan to let go. His penetrating gaze swept over the faces of Gaiyin and the others, eventually resting on Yadang’s face.
The moment Chiyu saw Yadang’s face, he felt a wave of dizziness.
Similar!
So similar!
Too similar!
Chiyu was around three generations older than Chiyan, so he could remember things that Chiyan couldn’t.
The beastman in front of him hadn’t spoken yet, and was looking at him warily. His cold gaze resembled that of his grandfather’s, don’t they?
Chiyu suppressed the shock welling up inside him.
Merely resembling his grandfather wasn’t enough proof that he was their uncle’s cub. He needed further confirmation!
Chiyu pressed his lips together, stepped forward towards Yadang, and stood before him, raising his hand.
Before he could do anything, Yadang abruptly took a step back, hugging his arms around his chest, and warily gazing at Chiyu.
"What are you trying to do?! Two big beastmen making such an affectionate gesture, aren’t you afraid of being misunderstood?!"
