Chapter 868: Chapter 873: The Fifth Trial 16

Even though they lowered their voices while talking and sprinted towards the safety cabin with all their might, the Godzilla-like creature still managed to chase after them, grasping at straws.

"Roar!"

"Boom! Crack—"

The stone wall in front of them suddenly exploded into countless pieces, scattering everywhere.

Gaiyin quickly stopped in his tracks, narrowly avoided the direct assault from Godzilla, and turned a corner.

He took a quick couple of steps forward and placed Su Tang down in a relatively safer spot, "Find a place to hide, turn on the protective shield, I’ll be back soon."

Su Tang’s heart pounded nonstop, and it was so dark around her she could not even make out the watch on her hand, unable to discern any direction.

Under the dim moonlight, Su Tang squatted down at a corner of a stone wall, deployed the protective shield, and dared not make a sound.

Listened to the roaring and clashing sounds close at hand, cold sweat continuously slid down her forehead.

"Roar—!"

Suddenly, another roar was heard.

Immediately after, Yadang’s cursing followed, "Fuck! Another one is here, Xi’en, come help me hold it off!"

"Attack its eyes, then chop its legs off!" Gaiyin’s voice was slightly calm, but listening carefully, one could still detect the anxiety within.

"Clang clang clang—"

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

"Clang clang clang~"

The variety of sounds was endless, and it was not hard to imagine their struggle was very intense.

In the meantime, stones kept falling on Su Tang’s protective shield, one after the other, watching them made Su Tang extremely anxious.

Suddenly, Qiu Mo’s low voice came calling.

"Tangtang, where are you?"

Hearing this, Su Tang immediately perked up.

She called out in the same low voice toward the direction of the sound, "I’m here! Momo, where are you?"

She waited a long time without any reply, and it made her incredibly anxious. n𝚘𝚟𝚙u𝚋.co𝚖

Unable to help herself, she called out again softly, "Momo?"

Immediately after, a huge stone flew from somewhere and crashed heavily onto Su Tang’s protective shield, making a loud noise.

This unexpected event nearly made Su Tang’s heart leap out of her chest, and when she saw that this attack depleted 100 health points from her protective shield, she was also filled with distress.

Then Qiu Mo’s voice rang out again, soft but seemingly closer this time.

"I’m in a Stone Cave under a stone wall. It’s very safe. Don’t move; I’ll come find you in a bit."

Su Tang, hearing that her location was very safe, unconsciously wanted her to stay put.

But the very next second, she suddenly remembered that with stones flying everywhere, nowhere was safe except within the protective shield inside the safety cabin.

So she whispered back, "Okay, I’ll wait here for you. Be careful."

The sounds of combat continued nonstop along with the trembling ground. Sparks flew close by from time to time, not too far from where they were.

During this time, there were several instances when she heard the sound of stone walls being smashed, as if it was right next to her. It seemed like the next wall to crumble could be the one behind her, causing Su Tang’s heart to race uncontrollably.

God knows how much time had passed.

With the sound of a large object hitting the ground, Yadang’s shout was heard, "The last leg is down, done! Wait up, we’re coming over to help you now!"

He was speaking to Gaiyin.

Gaiyin had been fending off a Godzilla-like creature single-handedly for more than half an hour.

"No need, I can handle it." Though the voice sounded extremely strained, it was clear there was no serious trouble.
