Chapter 893: Chapter 898: The Final Test 13
Despite Su Tang using her Herculean strength, with her face turning beet red from effort, she couldn’t budge the hoop at all.
Su Tang was somewhat incredulous.
She glanced at a large boulder inside the courtyard.
If it were before, she would have had no means to move such a large stone, but after her physical transformation, Su Tang felt she could lift it.
She stared at the stone for a few seconds.
Su Tang rolled up her sleeves, took hold of both ends of the stone, sank her breath to her dantian, and gave it her all!
The stone was easily lifted.
This only made Su Tang more puzzled!
With her current strength, she could lift such a heavy stone with ease, so why couldn’t she move a mere hoop?
There was something fishy!
Everything about this seemed fishy!
Su Tang looked up at the sky with a strange smile playing on her lips, carrying a hint of provocation.
She pocketed the hoop and continued to wander around the vicinity to see if she could find anything else.
When she got tired of wandering, she went back inside the protective shield to practice her Soft Body Technique.
By the time Su Tang opened her eyes again, the sun had begun to set.
Several figures were walking shoulder to shoulder towards her in the courtyard, clearly Gaiyin and Bai Que among them.
Su Tang put away the protective shield and ran over to link arms with Gaiyin, "Ayin..."
Bai Que looked over at Su Tang upon hearing her.
He felt something about her seemed different, yet also the same as before.
Bai Que had a mocking smile as he glanced at Gaiyin, "How insecure can you be, to have your partner watch over here?"
Gaiyin completely ignored Bai Que, took out six keys of different colors and laid them in front of Su Tang with a faint smile, "Choose one!"
Su Tang didn’t hesitate either, casually putting two of them into her pocket and, taking advantage of her increased height, tiptoed to kiss Gaiyin on the cheek, "Thanks, Ayin~"
The pair’s series of movements blatantly ignored Bai Que, treating him as if he were thin air.
Bai Que’s face darkened, and he snorted coldly, "What’s the use of finding so many keys? It’s not certain whether they are the right ones yet."
Only then did Su Tang turn her attention to Bai Que, slightly surprised, and spoke in an exaggerated tone, "Huh? You guys didn’t find all six keys? You all must be such unlucky ducks!"
Bai Que’s breathing became noticeably uneven.
Xuan Shui behind him grabbed his arm, "Young Master, let’s go unlock it first. Maybe the keys we found are the correct ones."
Bai Que nodded and stopped engaging in verbal sparring with Su Tang.
But when they arrived at the gate, Bai Que hesitated for a moment. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝘱𝘶𝑏.𝘤𝘰𝑚
He shifted his gaze to Chi Tree beside him, "You try your key first."
Chi Tree, expressionless, tightened his grip on the abnormally large and pitch-black key in his hand, his fingertips turning pale from the force.
The key was more than twice the size of the lock, and to the discerning eye, it was obvious that they did not match.
Yet, they had only found four keys; two in Bai Que’s hands, and one each in his and Xuan Shui’s hands, with the one he was holding being the least likely one.
Chi Tree moved forward with the key, using his body to shield his actions as he took out another key from his sleeve, smaller and more delicate.
The patterns on this key matched those on the lock perfectly, and the size was a great fit as well.
An unusual light flickered in Chi Tree’s eyes, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
The key slid into the lock smoothly and turned with ease.
"Click—"
The lock opened.
