Chapter 909: Chapter 914: Xiluo Tree
Although the forest near the Tribe had been cleared, there was still the possibility of encountering wild beasts.
Accompanied by five Beastmen, they didn’t dare venture too deeply into the forest, only wandering around the edges.

On their way back, harbouring two vastly different sentiments, Su Tang suddenly noticed the trees here seemed unlike the ones she had seen before, and she couldn’t resist taking another look.
Yuehong casually broke off a tree branch and handed it to Su Tang, "Wanna play? What’s the matter, scared of being laughed at?"
Su Tang took it with a bewildered look on her face.

What did she want to play with? And why would anyone laugh at her?
The texture of the branch in her hand felt somewhat off, so Su Tang looked down.
She saw that from the broken end of the branch, a thick, transparent, mud-like substance was continuously oozing out.
Su Tang impulsively poked it with her finger; it was soft, reminiscent of the texture of slime.
Although it was the first time she had seen this substance, there was an inexplicably familiar feeling to it.
Mei Yan, too, casually snapped off a branch and played with it in her hands, lamenting, "It’s been such a long time since I’ve played with Xiluo Tree branches. The feeling hasn’t changed; still just as good, haha."
Yuehong covered her mouth to stifle a giggle, "Be careful not to be seen by the cubs, they might laugh at you. A grown female still playing with cub’s toys, aren’t you ashamed?"
Mei Yan undauntedly puffed out her chest, "What’s there to fear, I have Su Tang with me, right, Su Tang?"
On hearing the conversation between the two, Su Tang furrowed her brow.

She should have thought of it sooner.
Years ago, the Mermaid Chief, the White Tiger Chief, and Xi’s mother had come together to this forest to train and then encountered Xi’s father, which ultimately led to that tragic event.
When she had first heard of Xiluo Trees, she thought they were the legendary rubber trees.
She had been so eager to visit Xiluo Forest at some point to get some rubber trees, since rubber was such a useful material.
But now that she saw it with her own eyes, she realized that Xiluo Trees were not rubber trees, lacking their pungent smell and murky color. With their soft, brittle texture, if no one had told her, she would have thought it was just clear slime.
"Tangtang, what are you thinking about?"
A hand waved in front of her face.
Su Tang quickly came back to her senses, "Ah? What? Sorry, I just spaced out for a bit."
Mei Yan looked at her curiously for a moment before asking, "No worries, I just wanted to know if the Xiluo Tree branch is fun to play with?"
"Of course, it’s fun. I haven’t played with one for a long time."
