"Fire Control Ability?" Yellow Tiger looked at the fireball that had appeared beside Lin Tian, a glimmer of surprise flashing through his eyes.
"*Cough cough*..."
Having caught a moment to breathe, Lin Tian couldn’t help but start coughing violently, coughing up several mouthfuls of fresh blood, his gaze toward Yellow Tiger filled with gravity.
This son of a bitch had even more battle experience than Albert and emitted an aura of fighting to the death. The momentum put Lin Tian under great pressure.
As the saying goes, the ruthless fear the reckless, the reckless fear the aggressive, and the aggressive fear those who fight without regard for their own lives. Lin Tian was now the aggressive kind, while Yellow Tiger was the kind who didn’t care about his own life.
The main issue was that this damned guy was so strong, fighting so desperately against someone weaker than himself. Damn it, he didn’t give any chances at all.
"You’ve surprised me, possessing three abilities, but today you still have no chance of escaping from my hands, even though I really don’t want to kill you," Yellow Tiger said, eyeing Lin Tian. He had already seen that the fireball by Lin Tian wasn’t very powerful and was only slightly more intense than a normal flame.
"Big talk is easy to make, but it’s not yet certain whose deer it will be," Lin Tian said disdainfully as he watched Yellow Tiger prematurely conclude his defeat. Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, Lin Tian took the initiative and charged forward.
He pushed his Neural Response Speed and the Ox Power Technique to their limits, with his fists covered in flames as well.
"To show you respect, I will use my greatest strength to kill you," Yellow Tiger said with a serious expression as Lin Tian charged forward. His arm’s muscles bulged, covered in a layer of faint yellow light, giving off an impression of heavy solidity.
"*Bang*..."
Their fists collided, and Lin Tian was immediately sent flying by the colossal force from the arm, his facial expression frozen in an instant—how could there be such immense power.
"*Boom*..." Lin Tian’s body hit the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"*Spurt*..." Lin Tian spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. ’Bang,’ Yellow Tiger’s next attack followed swiftly, punching Lin Tian in the abdomen and lifting him into the air. "*Boom*" Then with another strike of his double fists, Yellow Tiger smashed Lin Tian into the ground, creating a deep pit.
"*Wow*..." Lin Tian opened his mouth and spewed out several more mouthfuls of blood, gasping for air that he hadn’t had a chance to catch since being struck.
This blow made him feel as if his heart had stopped beating, his brain plunging into a state of void. This was a complete crushing defeat. He couldn’t muster any strength to fight back, facing the strongest enemy he had ever met—not even against Albert had he been at such a disadvantage.
Even if he was still in a sorry state, Yellow Tiger was fundamentally different.
This was just too damn frustrating. Lin Tian realized that TV and novels are deceiving. Damn it, who said that villains would waste a bunch of words before killing the good guy? He was the perfect interpretation of the opposite right now.
Seeing that Lin Tian had already lost his will to fight, Yellow Tiger didn’t dawdle. A yellow light flashed in his hands as he prepared to deliver the final blow.
"*Hiss*..." Lin Tian watched Yellow Tiger’s fist, his body wanting to counterattack, but before he could move, the severe pain made him gasp sharply for air.
"*Boom*... *crack*..."
Yellow Tiger’s fist came down, and immediately there was a crisp sound.
"Huh..." Yellow Tiger let out a light sound of surprise. His punch did not hit Lin Tian’s head but was blocked as Lin Tian took the blow with his arm instead.
Lin Tian was now covered in cold sweat, his forehead beaded with droplets. The pain of his broken arm was so intense he nearly passed out, but he reminded himself that he must not faint. If he did, he would surely die. What he needed was a chance, a moment when Huang Hu let his guard down. Then, he could retrieve a healing potion from the "Taotie System."
"Struggling in vain," Huang Hu scoffed coldly as he watched Lin Tian. Clearly, he was dissatisfied that his previous punch hadn’t finished Lin Tian off. He needed to deal with him quickly; though they were on the outskirts of the Capital City, the officials must be aware of the commotion they had caused.
Moreover, with the Li Family caught in the midst of a storm, Li Xiangjin sending him had surely not escaped the notice of certain eyes.
"Die..."
Raising his fist again, Huang Hu prepared to deliver a fatal blow and leave this place.
"Am I going to die here?" Lin Tian thought resentfully as he saw Huang Hu attack again. There was so much he hadn’t done, his great revenge unserved, and He Qianqian hadn’t yet woken up, yet he was about to die. He wasn’t fearful; he was filled with resentment.
"Whoosh..."
Just as the fist was about to strike, Lin Tian heard the sound of rushing air beside his ear, and then he saw a streak of red flash by; a flying dagger had embedded itself into Huang Hu’s arm.
"Hmph..." Struck by the flying dagger, Huang Hu grunted, showing no intention of stopping to deal with it. His punch continued unabated, still lethal enough to kill Lin Tian.
"Obstinate fool."
Seeing Huang Hu’s relentless pursuit, a voice echoed through the air. Immediately afterward, Lin Tian saw Huang Hu sent flying like a fired cannonball.
"Hmm...?" Lin Tian’s consciousness was fuzzy at this point. When he looked up, he saw a towering figure standing beside him, but before he could get a good look at the man’s face, he had already passed out.
"It’s you?" Huang Hu, sent flying, looked in shock at the person standing beside Lin Tian as he got back up and said with a fearful expression, meanwhile a bitter smile flickered across his face. "Kill me then. I didn’t expect you to take action personally. Now that you’re here, I won’t stand a chance."
"You may leave." The person looked at Huang Hu and, after a moment of silence, finally spoke.
"You’re letting me go?" Huang Hu asked in astonishment, clearly incredulous.
"Our strength should be used against external enemies. I know you were left with no choice. Don’t let it happen again; go now." The man spoke again.
"I..." Huang Hu showed a trace of guilt on his face, opened his mouth as if wanting to say something, but ultimately he said nothing. Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he stood up straight, gave a military salute to the man, and then left.
The man standing beside Lin Tian showed no change in expression as he watched Huang Hu leave, as if none of this had affected him. He looked down at the unconscious Lin Tian, his brow furrowed with confusion.
......
Pain was Lin Tian’s prevailing sensation, accompanied by the nauseating smell of a potion that made his stomach turn.
"Teng..." Lin Tian suddenly sat up. "Hiss..." But soon, he winced, inhaling sharply from the pain that contorted his face into a grimace.
"Where am I?" After the pain subsided, Lin Tian surveyed his surroundings, feeling very surprised. Everything around was snowy white, resembling a hospital, yet it didn’t quite seem like one; noisy clamor echoed from outside – far louder than any hospital he knew of.
