Chapter 147: Chapter 147 Somthing more dangerous (1)
Kyra, in her frostlyn form, faced the laughing beast with its bared yellow teeth. Just as its massive paw was about to close around her, another growl echoed through the forest—louder and more dangerous.
"Growl..."
Kyra’s eyes darted in the direction of the sound, and emerging from the dense trees was another beast, identical in size and ferocity. Its eyes, a fiery yellow, locked onto Kyra for a moment before shifting to the first beast.
"Growl..."
Without warning, the newcomer lunged at the first beast, its powerful muscles rippling under its fur. The two creatures collided with a force that shook the ground, their roars mingling in a terrifying symphony. They clawed and bit at each other, their massive forms crashing into trees and snapping them like twigs.
Kyra watched in horror as the battle unfolded before her. The beasts fought with a savage intensity, their roars echoing through the forest. She could see the raw power in their movements, each blow causing the ground to tremble.
The first beast was caught off guard, reeling from the ferocity of the attack. It snarled and swiped at its opponent, but the newcomer was relentless, its teeth sinking into the other’s shoulder. Blood sprayed across the snow, staining it red.
Kyra’s heart pounded in her chest, the fear gripping her tightly. She knew she needed to move, to get as far away from the fighting as possible. Slowly, she began to back away, her eyes never leaving the battling beasts.
But as she moved, a sharp pain shot through her leg, reminding her of her injury. She stumbled, her steps faltering. Each movement sent waves of pain through her body, but she knew she couldn’t stay. She had to push through the pain.
The forest around them seemed to hold its breath, the only sounds the growls and roars of the creatures and the splintering of wood. Kyra’s steps were slow and painful, each one a struggle against the throbbing in her leg.
As she moved, she stumbled over a root, her breath hitching as she fought to stay quiet. The beasts were too engrossed in their fight to notice her, their focus entirely on tearing each other apart. Kyra took advantage of their distraction, increasing her pace while still trying to remain silent.
Her heart was in her throat as she reached a denser part of the pine forest, the trees providing a semblance of cover. She hid behind a large trunk, peering out to see the beasts still locked in combat. The first beast was starting to weaken, its movements slowing as the newcomer pressed its advantage.
Kyra’s breath came in short, shallow gasps, the cold air burning her lungs. She knew she couldn’t stay there forever, but she needed a moment to gather her strength. She leaned against the tree, her Furry body trembling from the adrenaline, the cold, and the pain radiating from her injured leg.
Her eyes watered as she saw the fight nearing its end. She knew she couldn’t stay any longer. With that thought, she forced herself to move, her injured leg dragging behind her as she limped deeper into the forest. Her stomach growled with hunger, and the falling snow grew heavier, each flake adding to the cold that seeped into her bones.
"GROWL...."
Her heart nearly leaped out of her chest as she heard the victorious roar. The newcomer beast had killed the first one and was now charging toward her. Panic surged through her, and she pushed herself to move faster, though each step was agony.
Kyra’s tears streamed down her face, mingling with the snowflakes that clung to her cheeks. Her leg was now swollen, and the pain was unbearable. She knew she couldn’t outrun the beast; she could barely run at all.
Desperation filled her as she stumbled through the forest, her vision blurred by tears and snow. Every step was a struggle, and her breaths came in ragged gasps. She could hear the beast closing in, its heavy footfalls shaking the ground beneath her.
"I can’t give up." she whispered to herself, forcing her legs to keep moving. But with each passing second, her strength waned, and the beast’s growls grew louder
She looked behind seeing ugly monster following her she didn’t notice she already outside Forest area, she froze when she saw tall snowy mountains.
She glanced over her shoulder, her eyes widening in terror as she saw the monstrous beast gaining on her. Its ugly, menacing form loomed closer, its growls echoing through the forest. In her panic, she didn’t realize she had already exited the dense forest. Suddenly, she skidded to a halt, her eyes locking onto the towering snowy mountains before her.
The vast expanse of white stretched out, seeming both a barrier and a potential escape. She could feel the cold biting at her skin, but the immediate danger was the beast charging towards her. Her body trembled, both from fear and the freezing temperature, as she tried to gather her thoughts.
With the beast just moments away, she knew she had to make a choice. Despite her swollen leg and the excruciating pain, she turned towards the mountains, hoping that the rugged terrain might slow the creature down or provide her with a hiding spot.
She limped forward, each step a painful reminder of her injury. The snowy ground was uneven, making her progress even more challenging. Her breath came in short, visible puffs as she pushed herself onward, her eyes darting between the looming mountains and the beast behind her.
The beast’s growls grew louder, a constant reminder of the peril she was in. Kyra’s tears mingled with the snowflakes on her face, her heart pounding with desperation and fear. She had to keep moving; she had to survive. The mountains were her only hope.
However, suddenly, the beast stopped in its tracks. Its eyes widened in fear, and with a terrified growl, it turned and bolted back into the forest as if its tail were on fire.
