Chapter 161: Chapter 161 Damon plan
Kyra looked at him suspiciously. "What’s in your mind?"
Damon laughed, a evil glint in his eye. "Let’s go, and you’ll see." he said, his voice full of excitement. After breakfast, he took her hand and led her to the neighbor’s house. She could feel the anticipation in his grip.
When they reached the door, Damon knocked confidently. Kyra watched his face closely,
She had a feeling something unusual was about to happen.
Her eyes widened in shock when the door opened, revealing Benjamin.
His white hair was messy, but it somehow added to his charm. His beautiful golden eyes and plump lips made him look even more handsome.
Benjamin’s eyes fell on Damon, and his expression turned in surprise. "Damon..." he muttered, his voice barely a whisper.
He stared at Damon in shock, clearly not expecting him to show up at his house.
Kyra could sense the tension. She looked from Benjamin to Damon, trying to piece together what had happened between them. Damon just smiled, though, a calm, knowing smile that suggested he had planned this moment carefully.
"Long time, Benji." Damon said, his tone friendly but layered with something deeper.
Benjamin blinked, still processing. "Yeah, it has been," he replied slowly, his eyes never leaving Damon’s face.
Kyra’s curiosity grew. She wanted to ask a million questions but held back, sensing that the answers would come in time.
Benjamin’s eyes fell on Kyra, a beautiful female unlike any he’d seen before. He noticed her luscious, long, thick red hair and her pretty eyes. When he realized she was looking at him too, he smiled gently.
"Hello, female. My name is Benjamin. And you... are?" he asked, looking straight into her eyes.
Damon quickly wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close. "She is my female, Kyra," he said with a strange smile.
Benjamin’s eyes widened in shock. "You... you have a female? I thought after what happened..."
"After what? You know me very well. Are you not going to welcome us, Benji?" Damon said with a smirk.
Benjamin hesitated, but then his face softened. "Of course, come in," he said, stepping aside to let them enter. His gaze lingered on Kyra for a moment longer, a mix of curiosity and something else in his eyes.
Kyra felt Damon’s grip tighten around her waist as they stepped into Benjamin’s cozy home. The warmth from the crackling fireplace was welcoming, contrasting with the chill outside.
"Would you like some tea?" Benjamin offered, moving toward the kitchen area.
"That would be nice," Kyra replied, trying to ease the tension.
Damon released his hold on her, but not before giving Benjamin a warning glance. "We’re here to talk, Benjamin. Not to reminisce about the past."
Benjamin nodded, his expression turning serious. "I understand. Let’s sit."
They settled around the small wooden table. Kyra couldn’t help but notice the elegance of Benjamin’s home. It was simple, but each piece of furniture seemed to have been chosen with care.
"So, what brings you here?" Benjamin asked, pouring tea into delicate cups.
Kyra looked at Damon, waiting for him to speak. He leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on Benjamin.
"Although we stopped talking back then," Damon said, his eyes flashing with an evil glint, "I can only trust you here. So, I want to ask for your help. Will you help me, Benji?" He spread his legs wider and leaned back, a small smirk on his face.
Benjamin looked at him for a second, then nodded. "Of course, you can trust me with anything."
"Anything?" Damon sat up straight, staring intently at Benjamin.
"Of course," Benjamin repeated, his voice steady.
Damon’s smirk widened. "Sadly, my female was separated from her mates, and she loved them so much. She can’t live without them. So I need to leave to find them. In my absence, will you take care of her, Benji?" he asked, his tone dripping with false concern.
"What?" Kyra looked at him in shock, but Damon held her small hand with his large, rough one, trying to calm her.
Kyra took a deep breath and didn’t say anything.
Benjamin hesitated. "But it’s not appropriate..."
"What, Benji? You can’t even do that for me?" Damon sighed. "I thought I could trust you with my female, but I guess not..." He stood up, pretending to leave.
Seeing him about to leave, Benjamin’s clear eyes flashed with emotion. "I will take care of her," he said quietly.
A smile appeared on Damon’s face.
"I knew you would help me," Damon said with a smirk. "I’ll be leaving tomorrow."
Kyra waved goodbye to Benjamin as she left with Damon.
They both walked home in silence. As soon as the door closed behind them, Kyra pushed Damon against it, her eyes blazing with anger and confusion.
"What was that?" she demanded, her voice a mix of frustration and disbelief.
Damon’s eyes darkened as he looked down at her, their faces inches apart. "It’s necessary, Kyra," he said, his voice low and intense. "To make Benjamin fall in love with you."
Kyra’s hands were still pressed against his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart. "Can’t we just tell him?" she shot back, though her voice wavered slightly under his intense gaze.
Damon’s hand reached up to cup her cheek, his thumb gently brushing against her skin. "I need to do this, Litle thing," he whispered, his breath warm against her face. "Benjamin... he’s committed to Sandra. You think I haven’t told him? There’s another reason too, something you don’t know."
Kyra’s resolve faltered as she felt the warmth of his touch and the sincerity in his eyes. She wanted to stay angry, but the tension between them was palpable, electric. Her breath hitched as his other hand slid around her waist, pulling her closer.
"Damon, this is... complicated." she murmured, her voice softening despite herself.
"Life is complicated," he replied, his lips so close to hers that she could feel their warmth. "But we have to work with what we’ve got." 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓹𝓾𝒷.𝓬𝓸𝓂
