Chapter 189: Chapter 189 Found her (1)

"I am fine, don’t worry about me," Vincent said, his voice steady as he looked at Lucas with a faint smile. A scar marred his left cheek, and his red eyes were expressionless.

They had finally reached Celestia, and Vincent could sense they were very close to finding Kyra.

"It’s been many days without you, Rainbow. I crave you like crazy. Once I find you, I will cage you in my arms," Vincent whispered, his gaze fixed on the snowy landscape ahead.

The cold wind whipped around them, but he barely felt it. His thoughts were consumed by Kyra, and the burning desire to have her back with him.

Lucas, standing beside him, nodded in agreement. "We’ve come this far, Vincent. We’ll find her, no matter what it takes."

Vincent’s smile widened slightly, though it didn’t reach his eyes. "I know, wolf. I can feel it in my bones. She’s close."

They continued their trek through the snow, their breaths forming visible puffs in the icy air.

The landscape was harsh and unforgiving, but it couldn’t deter them. Every step brought them closer to Kyra, and that was all that mattered.

As they climbed a steep hill, Vincent’s mind wandered back to the memories of Kyra. Her laughter, her smile, the way she looked at him with those captivating eyes.

He missed her with every fiber of his being. The thought of holding her again, of feeling her warmth, was the only thing keeping him going.

Lucas broke the silence, his voice firm. "Do you think she’s safe?"

Vincent’s jaw tightened. "She has to be. She’s strong, and she’s a fighter. But we can’t take any chances. We need to find her as soon as possible."

They reached the top of the hill, and Vincent paused to catch his breath. He scanned the horizon.

The vast expanse of snow stretched out before them, seemingly endless.

Suddenly, Lucas pointed towards a distant cluster of house’s. "Look, there! That must be the some tribe"

Vincent’s eyes followed Lucas’s finger, and his heart skipped a beat. "Yes, that must be it. Let’s hurry."

They quickened their pace, As they approached the tribe, the sense of urgency grew stronger.

Vincent’s instincts told him they were on the right track.

"It’s a small tribe," Lucas said, frowning. "The whole place is empty, and there are no guards."

"Let’s knock on one of the doors," Vincent suggested, walking toward a nearby house. Lucas followed him and knocked.

"Anyone here?" Lucas shouted, but there was no reply.

"Let’s try another house," Vincent said in his deep voice.

They moved to another house and knocked, but again, no one answered. They repeated this process with several more houses, but all were empty and silent. n𝚘vp𝚞𝚋.com

"Strange," Vincent muttered, a hint of worry creeping into his voice.

"Do you think this tribe was abandoned?" Lucas asked, glancing around uneasily.

"Let’s check some other tribes too," Vincent replied. They moved on, but every tribe they visited was eerily empty.

"Something isn’t right," Vincent whispered, his eyes narrowing. "Why is there not even a single soul?" he wondered aloud.

They continued to search, their unease growing with each empty tribe they found. Finally, they reached the Spirit City town. The sight that greeted them was even more unsettling.

The town was empty, but there were dark stains of blood on the snow, hinting at a violent event.

"What happened here?" Lucas muttered, sniffing the air, trying to catch any scent that might give them a clue.

Vincent’s eyes scanned the area, taking in the signs of struggle and conflict. "We need to be careful. Something terrible happened here, and we might still be in danger."

They moved cautiously through the town, their senses heightened. The silence was oppressive, broken only by the crunch of snow beneath their feet.

As they walked, Vincent’s thoughts raced. Where was Kyra? Was she caught up in whatever had happened here? The uncertainty gnawed at him.

Lucas stopped suddenly, his eyes widening. "Vincent, look over there!"

Vincent followed Lucas’s gaze to a large two story cottage at the edge of the town. The door was slightly ajar, and faint sounds were coming from inside.

They approached the building, their hearts pounding. Vincent pushed the door open, revealing a dimly lit room filled with scattered belongings and overturned furniture. The air was thick with tension and the lingering scent of blood.

"Stay close," Vincent whispered, leading the way inside. They moved through the cottage, searching for any sign of life.

In a back room, they found a group of huddled figures, mostly tender age males and children, their faces pale with fear. One of the boy looked up as they entered, his eyes widening in relief.

"Please, help us," he pleaded. "We were attacked. Most of the males were taken or killed."

"Who attacked you?" Vincent asked, his voice steady.

"Beasts... infected ones," he replied, his voice trembling. "They came out of nowhere. We tried to fight, but there were too many."

Vincent and Lucas exchanged a grim look. This confirmed their worst fears.

"Have you seen a female with red hair? Her name is Kyra," Vincent asked urgently.

"Yes... yes, we have seen her. She was the winner of the Beauty Contest of the year. Are you talking about the female with Damon right?" a boy replied, his eyes lighting up with recognition.

"Yes, red hair and the most beautiful female... but who is this Damon you’re talking about?" Lucas responded, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the man.

Vincent’s body stiffened at the mention of Damon’s name.

"Damon, her male. He even kissed her in front of everyone. I’m not mistaken; she had a red necklace around her neck and pretty hazel blue eyes, right?" another boy, around five or six years old, spoke up.

Hearing this, Vincent’s face turned cold, and Lucas’s face also lost all color.

Vincent clenched his fists, trying to keep his emotions in check. "Where did you last see her?" he asked, his voice tense.
