Chapter 267: Chapter 267 Kyra’s revelation

Hearing his entire story, Kyra looked up at Damon, her eyes soft with understanding and empathy. Without a word, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. "You’ve gone through so much," she muttered softly against his chest, her voice filled with warmth and care. She could feel the weight of his pain, the burden of years of betrayal, and it made her hold him even tighter.

Damon smiled softly, feeling comforted by her presence in a way he hadn’t expected. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer into his embrace. "That’s nothing, little thing," he replied.

Even Lucas showed sympathy, couldn’t help but look at Damon with a mix of pity and understanding. It was clear that Damon had carried a lot on his shoulders, far more than any of them had realized.

But Damon, always sharp and direct, shifted the conversation, breaking the hug gently. His eyes remained on Kyra, filled with curiosity now. "You said you’re not from this world. Then, where are you from?" he asked, his voice Deep.

Kyra took a breath, gathering her thoughts. "I’m from Earth," she began, her tone calm but laced with a touch of nostalgia. "On Earth, we don’t have beings that shift into beasts like here. Humans are... different. They’re just human. But I was an exception because..." She paused for a moment, her eyes flickering with memories from her past life. 𝖓𝔬𝔳𝔭𝖚𝖇.𝔠𝔬𝖒

Kyra had just finished telling Damon her truth—the same truth Lucas already knew. Damon listened quietly, his gaze intense as he absorbed every word. The air between them was heavy, the seriousness of the moment pressing down on them both. But Kyra wasn’t finished yet.

Taking a deep breath, she added, "And I have another secret to tell you too, Luca."

Inside her mind, Kaia stirred anxiously. ’No... no, no! Let me prepare! I’m not ready!’ Kaia’s voice was soft and shy, clearly hesitant about what was to come.

Kyra raised her brow, smirking. ’Why should I listen to you now, Kaia? You didn’t tell me a thing when you should have—like about our hormone scent, for example,’ she shot back teasingly.

Damon and Lucas looked at her strangely as she suddenly started smirking. Damon’s expression grew colder, his jaw tightening. "Little thing," he said, his voice sharp with suspicion. "Why are you smirking like that?"

Lucas, however leaned back in his chair, dramatically wiping an imaginary bead of sweat from his forehead. Then, with a mock-serious tone, he pointed a finger at her. "Don’t tell me, Ky-Ky, your secret is that you have another male?" he asked, wide-eyed with horror.

Damon’s expression instantly darkened, his eyes narrowing dangerously. His body stiffened, and Kyra could feel the jealousy radiating off him like heat from a flame. His voice was low, cold, and tinged with a possessiveness that sent a chill through the room. "Another male?" he repeated, his gaze locking onto Kyra’s with a deadly seriousness. The thought of her with someone else clearly stirred something deep and primal within him. He clenched his fists at his sides, his muscles tensing as if he was preparing for a fight.

Kyra could see the way his eyes darkened, the jealousy clear in his gaze, and quickly tried to diffuse the situation before it spiraled out of control. "No, Damon," she said softly, shaking her head. "There’s no other male. Luca is just being... Luca."

Lucas, oblivious to the serious tension, chuckled lightly. "Hey, I was just making sure," he said with a shrug. "With Vincent being a deadly snake and now this overprotective dragon—who knows what surprises Kyra’s got up her sleeve?"

But Damon wasn’t amused. He shot Lucas a sharp look that could cut through steel, making Lucas visibly gulp and lean back into his seat. Damon’s eyes shifted back to Kyra, still filled with jealousy, his possessive nature not easily shaken.

"Tell me, little thing," Damon demanded, his voice still holding a dangerous edge, "What’s this secret, then? And it better not involve anyone else." His jaw clenched as he awaited her answer, his possessiveness fully on display, though his love for her was equally clear in his fierce gaze.

Kyra smiled softly, realizing just how deeply Damon cared for her—even if that care often came with a fiery jealousy.

"Actually... I am a world angel from back then," Kyra revealed, her voice steady.

Lucas almost jumped out of his seat, shock spreading across his face. "Oh my god!" he exclaimed, staring at Kyra as if he were seeing her for the first time. His wide eyes darted between her and Damon, trying to comprehend this newfound revelation. "You’re an angel?" He was looking at her with admiration, as if she had suddenly become even more extraordinary than before.

However, when he turned to look at Damon, he noticed something strange—Damon didn’t seem surprised. His face remained calm, a slight crease forming between his brows as if he had already known this.

"I guessed," Damon said nonchalantly, his voice low and thoughtful. His gaze fixed on Kyra, but there was no surprise in his eyes, only understanding. "So, all those attacks on us... they weren’t random. They were trying to capture us both, weren’t they?" His tone was serious, contemplative, as he pieced everything together.

Lucas, still reeling from Kyra’s revelation, blinked and looked at Damon in disbelief. "Wait, how did you guess?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Damon raised an eyebrow at him and leaned back in his seat, looking at Lucas with a mixture of amusement and contempt. "Because, unlike you," Damon replied dryly, "I’m not stupid."

Lucas pouted, his face falling into an exaggerated frown. He crossed his arms over his chest like a child who had just been scolded. "That’s not fair. I’m not stupid," he muttered defensively.

Kyra smiled softly at their banter, but her tone became firmer as she scolded Damon. "Don’t say anything to him, Damon."

Immediately, Lucas brightened, sitting up straighter as a satisfied grin spread across his face.
