Chapter 285: Chapter 285 Another reason to destroy ghost eye group

She walked over to the bed and sat down, her mind already forming a plan. She would provoke Sandra, push her buttons until she snapped. Maybe, just maybe, it would force Benjamin to act, and in that moment of chaos, she would find her way out. It was a dangerous plan, but at this point, what did she have to lose?

Kyra glanced over at Joy, who was now in his owl form again, perched by the window. He hadn’t said a word to her since the others left her alone. She wondered if he knew more than he let on, if he was part of this twisted scheme. But for now, he seemed harmless enough—more of an observer than a threat.

The silence was suffocating, but Kyra knew she couldn’t afford to let it overwhelm her. She had to stay focused, alert, and ready to act.

Time was running out, and she couldn’t stay in this place forever. Damon, Vincent and Lucas were out there somewhere, searching for her. She had to believe that. And she would find her way back to them—no matter what it took.

This eerie peace wouldn’t last forever. Something was going to give, and when it did, Kyra would be ready.

On the third day, the tension had reached its peak. The once comforting silence had turned into a suffocating weight, pressing down on Kyra with every passing hour. Her heart raced, her nerves frayed as she tried again and again to reach Kaia. But no matter how hard she focused, how deeply she reached out, there was nothing. It was as if Kaia had been completely cut off, leaving Kyra feeling more isolated than ever.

Frustration ate at her. She sensed something dark hiding beneath this quiet torment. As she paced the room, her steps grew quicker and more restless. The owl boy watched her from nearby, his eyes never leaving her. What had once been comforting now only increased her agitation.

Then, late in the afternoon, the atmosphere shifted. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed outside her door. It creaked open, revealing Benjamin—though he wasn’t alone. Behind him stood a massive, grotesque figure, its horned form covered in gnarled skin that shimmered like dark stone. The creature’s horns twisted high, and its yellow eyes gleamed with an eerie light that sent a chill down Kyra’s spine.

Kyra’s breath caught as she looked at the creature. She had seen it before.

There was something familiar about it, though she couldn’t fully place why. Who—or what—was this beast, and why had Benjamin brought him here?

The monster’s eyes roved over Kyra’s body, slow and predatory, before settling on her stomach. A sudden wave of nausea hit her, a protective instinct flaring in her chest, though she didn’t know why.

Then, he laughed—a low, rasping sound that made her skin crawl. "Benjamin," it hissed, turning toward the him, "you didn’t mention the Angel was carrying the next Frostlyn line. How... intriguing."

Kyra froze, her blood turning to ice. The words seemed to echo in her mind. Pregnant? Frostlyn? No... It couldn’t be true, could it? Her heart pounded, confusion and disbelief swirling in her chest.

Benjamin’s eyes gleamed with a smug satisfaction. He seemed far too pleased with himself. "I didn’t think I needed to share every detail," he said smoothly, his voice sickeningly gentle. "After all, I didn’t want to spoil the surprise."

Kyra instinctively placed her hands on her stomach, fear and anger coursing through her veins. "I’m not pregnant," she snapped, her voice trembling with anger. "You’re lying!"

The creature chuckled, its amusement clear in its glowing eyes. "Oh, but you are, sweet angel," it cooed, mockingly gentle. "And that makes you far more valuable than you realize."

Kyra stumbled back, her mind reeling. Nothing made sense anymore. She glared at Benjamin, her eyes burning with anger. "What do you want from me? From Damon?" she demanded, her voice cracking as panic gripped her.

Benjamin remained eerily calm, his golden eyes glinting with satisfaction. "Don’t worry your pretty little head," he said softly. "I have plans for you and the Frostlyn you carry. And Damon... well, let’s just say he’s going to be very upset when he finds out what’s happened."

Panic surged through Kyra, threatening to overwhelm her. She felt cornered, trapped in a game she didn’t understand. She couldn’t let this happen. She couldn’t let Benjamin win.

Her hands clenched into fists, her heart thudding in her chest. No matter what it took, she had to fight back. If not for herself, then for Damon, for Lucas, for Vincent and for the life she now carried within her.

Kyra’s mind raced as the truth hit her like a wave. The last time she was intimate was with Lucas. And before that, it was Vincent. The memories of those moments came back, clouded with doubt and confusion. Her heart pounded as uncertainty took hold. She didn’t know whose child she was carrying. Was it Lucas’s? Vincent’s? The thought made her head spin.

But that didn’t matter. Not now.

Kyra placed her hand on her stomach, feeling a fierce need to protect her baby. No matter who the father was, she would protect this child with everything she had. Her resolve hardened. This wasn’t just about her anymore. Now, she had even more reason to destroy the Ghost Eye group.

Her baby’s future depended on it.

Kyra looked at Benjamin, her eyes cold and determined. She couldn’t let fear stop her. She had to act, and she had to act soon. The odds might be against her, but she would fight. For her child, for Damon, for Lucas, for Vincent, and for herself.

She would bring the Ghost Eye group to its knees.

The horned monster’s smirk widened, his yellowish eyes gleaming with cruel delight as he looked Kyra over, his gaze lingering on her stomach. He crossed his arms, his jagged horns curling around his temples like a crown of twisted bone, dark skin gleaming in the low light. His voice slithered out like venom as he laughed, mocking her with every word.

"Oh, Benjamin, you’ve done well. Truly, bringing this one here was a stroke of genius. Soon, we’ll use her to get the World Key, and then—what was his name again?" The monster tapped a clawed finger against his chin, pretending to search his memory.
